Grateful for a house full of food, laughter, and friends. I got to play a tabletop today, and FATE is always a good time. It was sunny and I got to watch the grass wave in a breeze. Dinner was delicious chicken and rice.

Today was amazing. Woke up slow, read a book for a bit. Went and met over a dozen friends, some friends of friends, along with a pet corgi at the Oak Grove station, then wandered into the for four hours talking about books and geopolitics and board games. Got out, a few people took the train home, walked to my place with the remainder, a few new people joined us there. We played a few fast games while I made pizza with a couple volunteers and then we played Zoo Vadis which I've been wanting to play for months. All throughout the games people were taking up the disk shooters and nerf guns I left lying around and getting into spontaneous nerf shootouts. At one point I looked over from favour trading to get my crocodiles to the top exhibit to see a three person flop/close range nerf standoff had developed. The whole night felt like I was hearing laughter from one of the two rooms. My legs are sore, my mouth hurts from smiling, I'm having my reward smoothie and the rest of the apple from the pizza I made as I sit at my desk.

Grateful for the perishing memory, and the relentless march into the future. Tomorrow will come whether I'm ready or not, and so whatever shape I'm in is as ready as I am, and I will move onward.

Or, today sucked, but then I go to sleep and wake up and get to have a different day.
