V-Kei Luka Megurine 💜
As a kid, Luka has always been my fave vocaloid. I miss seeing fanart of her so I decided to paint a “V-kei version” of her, much like how artists draw many different versions of Miku these days :)

World-Building + Concept Art 🍇
I’ve been daydreaming about concepts for my character Pinot- an alien of is the leader for all the fruit people of their world.
There is a lot of different ideas I got in mind that I like to explore.
For instance, the history of their planet and why everyone but Pinot is part “fruit”?
Well, in my head they evolved away from the past human race that walked before them…
The past was a lot more grim. We’re talking Depression vibes with a lack of crops to harvest. The fertility rate was low as it could ever be. There was a lot of pressure to save the population, yet it was doomed to be tragedy.
Dying bodies fell down onto soil, sink inside the earth and decomposed. Only after many time has passed, plants began to grow again in the now-rich (yet grim) soil.
After plants and trees flourish, A baby has popped out of a cabbage patch. That is Pinot- the first person to walk again after the humans died out- and the only person in the new society that even closely resemble the past human race (physically).
The vegetables and fruits that grew beside her, albeit a late bloomer, caught up and grew to be more humanoid with features: limbs and, if you look closely, a resemblance of a face and mouth.
Together, Pinot and her fruit/vegetable people built society back up again by (literally) digging up the past’s technology. They discovered that with the fruit/vegetable people’s limbs, they can charge up an electrical current to power technology like a TV.
And from where we know it now, their society evolved into an 80’s vision. Note: their culture is a mix of random things from the past but technologically speaking, the aesthetic is stem from the 80’s, stirred in with some funky planetary sci-fi.
About the electricity, I pictured the fruit/vegetable people were able to grow a funky veiny system around their house and devices- connected everything everywhere with genetic “wires” for the electrical current to travel to and from. Funnily enough, those wires are literally just as apart of those fruit/vegetable people. Coming from our perspective- it’s like using our blood veins as electrical wires. Everything is connected, alive and apart of them in some way.
I just think it’s neat and fun. Love getting lost in my thoughts about them 💜
Here’s some concept art I’ve done in the past to fuel that imagination (loosely).
