VARY SKETCH ...TO...PRODUCT WWW.FLORIAN-FREIHOEFER.COM The “VARY” light In our lives, we constantly have to or want to change. The fear of change often lies in our high expectations and a specific goal. We forget that the path and associated development need time. The “VARY” light was created in order to keep this in mind. I use geometric shapes which use the metamorphosis from angular to round to symbolise transformation. Through optical illusion, the shapes merge and communicate with one another. Interaction with the observer is achieved through the light’s spatial orbit and the resulting change of form. It creates a connection between the object and existence, ensuring change remains a visible part of our life. #interiordesign #luminaire #home #highlight #instagood #sketch #handmade

VARY Geman Design Special 2016 Idea: Spaces we inhabit are shaped by various influences. In architecture, design is defined by location, surrounds, structural analysis and regulations. But then again, when it comes to design, objects often just stand alone, not in direct conversation with their surroundings. Which leads me to the following questions: What happens in between? What happens to the space which emerges unintentionally or “unconsciously”? Does it communicate or act with its environment? Can I, as a designer, create tasks for these “interspaces”? Throughout the thesis, I was inspired by light spaces as the original essence of interspaces.  #design #neon #interiordesign #luminaire #home #highlight #architecture
