          ───          hello i’m deni !  (  she / they  )  &  below the cut are my muses !  we have summaries and some wanted connections .  let me know if we can make something work and i’m also good with vibes only ! 

           ───          SPOTTED !!  EROS last seen in jfk international airport ,  can you believe it ?  well i guess you’d know them more as LATCH AHN ,  the park jimin lookalike .  he is a twenty five year old FILM DIRECTOR ,  known for being CURIOUS ,  BRAZEN  &  VISIONARY ,  but gossip girl likes to focus on the fact they are more RETICENT  &  CAPRICIOUS .  but what is it that gossip girl holds over them ? 

“eros:”  thanks to streaming and youtube ,  that heartbreaking horror video game latch made in college took off .  next thing latch knows ,  GG is referring to him by a name other than some guy ,  or good hair emo boy .  there’s a story behind the game  —  but the important thing is latch flies over to the valley and churns out sequels ,  puts early year bitcoins to use and makes a play at honoring his mother in the medium she respects the most .  (  his short film anthology’s on netflix ,  even if it only charted once  )  on the cusp of the game’s final installment and to accept a string of indie film awards ,  latch has reluctantly returned to the city after ghosting for nearly a year . 

reputation:  latch wasn’t a total n00b .  he went to parties ,  likes games and dancing and kissing and feeling on the fringe .  semi insomniac ,  there’s a lot of periphery GG infamy for him .  he made side money by tutoring kids with way too much money ,  went to a good school and was friends with the right people .  semi photographer  /  videographer back then ,  and everyone wanted the next cinematic - level vine .  likes traveling ,  has traveled ,  even if he’s not as outdoorsy as he wants you to think .  has a superiority complex enough to cause trouble when he’s annoyed .  isn’t violent ,  but bitterly mean .  people permanence is also a thing  —  he’ll go weeks  /  months  /  years without talking to someone but expects things to remain fine. 

wants:  a friend who he’ll tell his secret to  (  someone close  ) ,  a few investors for his game  (  he lowkey resents them for the investment  ) ,  an ex where things ended right before he left  —  hasn’t seen them since but remembers now he left things there ,  friends from college or prep school ,  an influence  (  they both will try anything and make a destructive mix  ) ,  another unrequited love  (  always so many feelings  ) ,  friends with benefits  /  friends who lose the benefits  /  they’ve had it in the past  /  are no longer friends  /  were never friends  /  it was one night dude

          ───          SPOTTED !!  PRINCESS last seen in the hamptons can you believe it ?  well i guess you’d know them more as DEVA CHIAAVAREE ,  the fah yongwaree lookalike .  she is a twenty four year old COSTUME DESIGNER ,  known for being AMBITIOUS ,  CHARMING  &  PROTECTIVE ,  but gossip girl likes to focus on the fact they are more PETULANT  &  JEALOUS .  but what is it that gossip girl holds over them ?

“princess:”  ms. prim and proud herself .  disney loved her for a moment ,  and so did all the teen vogues and seventeens of the day .  two series ,  an album of modest radio play ,  TV movies and a brief limited too bejeweled purse collab .  deva missed more classes than she attended ,  but she was a darling and demanded to be treated as one .  when her star faded after a disastrous attempt at the big screen and a relationship scandal ,  deva’s scrambled to make the most of the mess she’s left in .  the nickname’s a mockery now  —  deva’s more famous for her friends than anything she’s done .  and she’s done a lot .  her family’s still counting on her .  fashion’s her thing for now .  and fuck is the grind exhausting .   

reputation:  only a nice girl because she didn’t want public nastiness !!  but she was involved anyway  —  totally never her fault ,  you understand .  deva will say what she’s thinking and is incredibly judgmental .  never holds or wants grudges and will make moves to clear the air if there’s an issue  —  success or not to be determined .  she went to a lot of college and prep school parties ,  never finished college ,  still attends formal functions in the city as a B - List GG fame .  deva’s hella loyal , though .  a nasty sort of protective ,  and she still deserves nice things and money and glamour and feeling the vibe !! 

wants:  rich friends ,  anyone willing to gossip about anyone and anything  (  maybe only get along when they’re talking about others .  it’s their safe zones .  )  people who grew up in similar upper class neighborhood  /  family friends !!  roommate in a beautiful apartment because her family won’t let her live with her fiancé ,  a hardcore heavy crush from the past who inspired her to cut ties with her then - partner  (  she immediately went back after the public fallout .  deva’s tried to make amends ,  but nothing’s ever settled between them even if they’ve moved on  ) ,  arguedddd in the past and are not friends ,  didn’t like each other before but they’ve grown as people and somehow are cool now ,  one second they’re throwing drinks and screaming and the next they’re holding each other’s hair in a bathroom stall  (  no one gets it ,  not even them .  )

glamorouz​:

          they teetered into the party in seven inch heels they already regretted, a little more intoxicated than planned but as long as the floor and ceiling remained in the right direction, they were okay. getting another drink was number one on the agenda, zeroing in on the source of champagne when a voice called for, presumably, her attention. she waited a moment, head cocked to the side, a manicured finger pointing at herself. “me? you want me to take pictures of you?” her lips thin out to a straight line. considering. “sure! why not. but don’t you have people for that .. or something?” 

          deva lips break into a sparkling smile and the knot in her chest loosens. finally. someone understands. someone’s excited. “yes, now i have you!” good-bye useless college intern. ugh. “it won’t be long, i’m easy to please,” she assures uselessly as she ditches an empty wine glass, tilts her head to check a reflection in a mirror. “decent help is so difficult to find. my old-news-blind sloth of a manager was a friend of a stylist—? i honestly don’t know.” fingers fluff at her hair, gentle and confident through the strands, “i suppose this is what’s earned for trying to help launch a career, you know?” a quick glance before deva departs for a less-crowded area, hoping they’ll keep tagging along, “who do you use? a company, word of mouth? everyone wants to work in media now, it’s impossible to sift through the crowd.”

fariestale​:

influential  parents  dedicated  her  entire  childhood  to  similar  events  :  the  latest  designer  clothes  paired  with  the  attitude  of  the  perfect  little  doll  ,  the  kind  of  behavior  that  is  now  inherent  to  flora  even  as  a  high  -  functioning  adult  .  sparkling  green  hues  under  valentine  -  colored  lights  rolled  back  at  the  oh  so  kind  approach  of  the  raven-haired  .  stay  demure  and  sweet  kept  repeating  through  her  head  ,  clearly  well  trained  throughout  the  years  .  “  i’m  not  exactly  the  best  photographer  ,  ”  she  replied  rather  honestly  (  excuses  always  have  a  little  truth  in  them  )  .  “  wouldn’t  want  to  mess  up  your  social  media  presence  ,  ”  her  voice  was  light  ,  almost  airy  —  flawlessly  hiding  the  sugarcoated  insult  .

          “ did you not hear a word i said?” deva snaps, wrist popped like it’s so what. “my current manager is dead to me, so honestly i don’t believe you could mess up my presence any more than they already have.” a sniff, a roll of her eyes. deva turns right back to her screen and clicks away, manicure tapping on the glass as she scrolls, scrolls, scrolls. a sigh wrangles out of her chest, “i suppose i’ll find anyone else — at this point, anyone would do.” if she had a flip phone, she’d snap it close. for now all she settles for is a tight press of her thumb to a button and a flicker-off screen before she wheels around, “so. no photoshoot. champagne, then?”

glamorouz​:

          the single malt dances between the clinking ice cubes in his glass, the same perched precariously over the railing of the balcony he’d found himself on merely fifteen minutes into the party. he simply isn’t in the mood today, a sour inkling of something distasteful lingering at the back of his mind from the moment latch had told him he’d be in town again. the familiar voice calls for his attention and he turns, lips twisting down in a frown. he feels like a pouting child. would it really be that terrible to admit he missed his best friend? “i can go get one if you were looking forward to it.” he rolls his eyes, leaning casually against the railing behind him. the other man looks different, somehow. he can’t exactly put his finger on it. “i’m surprised you even showed up. figured you’d just hide back at your place and avoid me for the next few months, make it an even year.” so maybe he is still upset. 

          “i was banking on it saving me from this party,” latch sighs, silver dangling from a wrist when he takes a drink. it’s too early for him. tends to slip in later, after hours when the party’s on the downhill slope but hasn’t yet wound down. took him years to find the pace and now he’s back in the city screwing it all up for  —  what? of course dawson’s pissed. glancing sidelong, latch leans a hip on a column and crosses his arms, couples ramping up the cute down below with a slow song. “i wasn’t avoiding you.” latch swallows, and meets his eyes again. “not on purpose. at first it was just  —  easier.” he winces. “LA was a mess to figure out. business, you know all about that. some of us have to figure it out on our own.” it’s a piss poor excuse, enough half truth baked into it to maybe sound somewhat believable, but latch finds himself looking off to a sparkle red decoration and remembers, suddenly, the reason they’re all here. “so where’s the date?”

                charlotte  had  her  own  glass  of  champagne  in  her  hand,  taking  a  sip  of  the  drink  as  she  made  her  way  through  the  party.  she  had  taken  a  few  pictures  of  her  own  when  she  had  first  arrived.  however,  she  was  caught  off  guard,  freezing  in  place  when  she  heard  someone  speaking.  sure  enough,  the  brunette-haired  female  turned  her  head  to  look  right  at  the  overly-dramatic  deva.  “  deva,  the  ‘you’  you’re  referring  to  does  have  a  name…  ”  she  tilted  her  head  to  the  side.  “  shitty  photos?  ”

          “charlotte——” a sweet smile plays darling and sweet on her lips and she slides closer as if she’s draping an arm over lotte’s shoulders. “i have shitty photos. what i need is a helpful, wonderful, beautiful genius.” if there’s hope of slipping out of this social cesspit at a decent hour, her reels need better numbers. “you know you’re my favorite. don’t tell anyone else. i just need this itsy, tiny favor,” she squeezes her fingers together as if to show how small. but anyone who knows deva understands better — her discard piles are mountains. “i’ll owe you one. a big one.”

          latch runs into dawson at a party because of course he does. this is new york city, the upper east side  ━━  and more importantly, it’s dawson. a kick off to the event season with all its’ glitz and glam. now, standing shoulder to shoulder with life size barbies and kens, latch wishes he tried harder to scald off the airplane scent. maybe his skin wouldn’t feel as grimy, hot-cold like he’s sweating under a spotlight in the dead of winter. “what, no knife?” he asks as makes the approach. “thought you planned a whole et tu brute moment after i told you i was in town for the week.”   @glamorouz​

          “ ━━ my social media manager is so fired,” deva grits through her teeth, knuckles tight where she’s squeezing the life out of her phone.  (  this instagram reel. . .  these high contrast photos where deva’s gown cannot even be SEEN. what was the process? sabotage??  )  chugging the last of a bubbly n’ gold champagne, she abandons the glass and the nearest table and zeroes in on them with a fresh, assured focus. “you. emergency photoshoot. now.”

          pretending to be in love  ━━  catty words taking a claw out of her gut. or maybe it’s the salmon plate. deva hopes it was bad fish, and nothing like guilt. she rips her eyes from a woman in a plunging neckline to chase after all the couples scarlett decimates with nothing but a sprinkle of honesty and a fresh manicure. “love, what else?” she answers with a high, nervous laugh. plays it off like she’s tipsy as she curls closer to scarlett. “but let’s not talk about me  ━━  old news  ━━  who do you think is tacky enough to stage a proposal tonight? i’d bet a girls weekend on . . . them. right there, do you see? he’s wearing a bowtie, oh my god.”
