*ring ring*
Hyunsook: "Hello Kibum hyung."
Kibum: "Hello, Hyunsook-ah... how are you doing?"
Hyunsook "Good! I'm tired, but I'm great."
Kibum: "That is awesome, I'm glad to hear that! Really I am..."
*Kibum's voice has grown quieter, something that Hyunsook has rarely ever heard from him*
Hyunsook: "Hyung... are you okay?"
Kibum: "Oh... yeah! I'm fine.. it's just that... do you um... do you remember me talking about Yongguk?"
Hyunsook: ".. oh that boy you got stuck in a drug ring with?"
*Hyunsook is hesitant to say this at all*
Kibum: "yeah..."
Hyunsook: "I remember. You were pretty sore about it still when I first met you- understandably so... why bring it up now? I thought he was... you know... dead?"
Kibum: "S... so did I... but... It turns out he's been America this entire time. And he's in therapy with Mills."
*Hyunsook gasps from the other line*
Hyunsook: "What?! Really? How could that even be?"
Kibum: "I don't know..."
*kibum pauses on the other line, his breathing growing harder. Hyunsook blinks and moves away from the public ears*
Hyunsook: "what... what's wrong, Hyung?"
Kibum: "I'm just so surprised... I never thought I would see him again and here I am, seeing him everywhere... I don't know how I feel. I'm happy but the way he screamed when he saw me, it hurt. I passed out, I thought I saw a ghost..."
Hyunsook: "Are you going to follow yo with him?"
Kibum: "What do you mean?"
Hyunsook: "Hyung, it's no secret to me that you still love him."
*Kibum had not thought of that. He's shocked to realize that Hyunsook is probably right. He does still love Yongguk. No matter how many people he's met, or however many people he's slept with, the feelings for Yongguk are always there. A soft sigh passes through his lips. Hyunsook is waiting quietly on the other end, wondering what Kibum is feeling right now. He can't imagine how Kibum is feeling*
Kibum: "What do you think I should do?"
Hyunsook: "If this was me and Jaebum, I would pursue him because I really love him and I know without him my world would crumble. I don't know how you feel without having seen him for years, but I can imagine the feelings for him have never changed. I think you need to tell him early on that you still feel the same. Just let him know he doesn't have to return the feelings but if you don't tell him and you keep it in, the harder it will be if he rejects you."
*kibum listens and slowly nods, chuckling softly*
Kibum: "That's not fair- you used some of my own advice to you on me!"
Hyunsook: "Its great advice, Kibumie hyung~!"
Kibum: "That it is... you're right.... thanks again, Hyunsook."
Hyunsook: "Any time, Hyung. You've been there for me for a lot, it's about my turn anyway."
Kibum: "I love you, shortie."
Hyunsook: "I love you too, old man."
*Kibum hangs up and looks at himself in the mirror.*
"I can do this."
