Curiously there appears to be another doppelganger of Noelle - this time a Grey version, which appears to be walking Grey the Shape-Eater from before. They seem to be going around the neighborhood devouring the points off fences leaving rounded ones as they walk by. Grey Noelle waves before they disappear around a corner.
"Wha-Hey!" Noelle calls out as she runs after them.
It was...relatively fine if they were eating fence points, but...
"If you're gonna do that, at least don't wear my face doing it!"
"That sounds like something that many scientists might struggle with. Many tools and advancements could be used for good or for bad...but often the advancement itself is just a step forward in knowledge and technology."
She pondered. "Prometheus gave fire to the humans in ancient times, and it's been used for good and bad things, but I would say it's been mostly positive."
"As for being an arbiter of it...didn't the science people have their own committees for ethics? The ones that were making your own research advancement difficult? Perhaps the burden does not lay with you." Even if she would, doubtlessly, feel responsible.
"...Perhaps so. Not to sound megalomaniac, but I feel as though most work does not have the same ability to shift matters so drastically." Maybe she's just feeling sorry for herself-
"...That is not what the Board of Ethics' duty is. They work to make sure that the trials I run on people are ethical. It is not their duty to determine the ethics of the results of the tests."
"Perhaps it is already out of my hands, however. A company, a government, and a cavalcade of investors, are paying hand over fist for me to perform this work: I do not believe that they would let it die."
"Then...if it would proceed without you present, then I'm thankful you ARE present. Your own ethics around it will help guide it."
"But recall that we cannot control everything. It's a painful lesson from divination studies. We may see all possibilities. We can even prepare for some. But we cannot account for all things when we are just one person."
She took Iyana's hand and held it. "And I'm still here to support you. You don't need to deal with this alone."
Noelle quietly followed; a little hooded shadow.
"Linkle has been appointed as a noble organizing the restoration of the Akkala Citadel and surrounding region. That's northeast of here, on the far side of the mountains there." She continues, pointing towards the ridge of mountains that included the firey peak known as Death Mountain. She notably neglected to mention her own nobility.
"Death Mountain there is home to another ally of the crown known as the gorons."

"Sho...it's like a ninja clan." The kami notes softly, making her way down the mountain with the group. If she squinted, she could mistake it for being back in one of the villages that are now only standing in memory.
"Is tha temple close ta here?" That seemed like a disaster waiting to happen. Good thing they were dealing with it then!
"I'm told it's some kind of tomb." Noelle says. She'd need to ask about ninjas later. "A place of the dead."
Although, the way she'd heard it described, it might not be a place to honour or remember the dead.
"Strangely, it doesn't sound like sacred ground. Odd, for a temple. The more I hear about it, the more dangerous it sounds."

She's fiddling with Noelle's cloak--or, well, her own thanks to the disguise.
"Seems heavy..."
Noelle rubs her eyes at the sight of another...her...playing with her cloak.
"Does Runeterra have dopplegangers? Or....are you another one of my 'sisters'?"
"Haha, no, silly, I'm just Neeko!"
Apparently believing it would emphasize her point, Neeko transformed back to normal in a flash of green light, grinning broadly.
"No one can doppel a ganger like me!"
Oh! It was a lizard girl...or maybe a vastayan? Either way, the mage breathed a sigh of relief.
"It's good to meet you, Neeko. My name is Noelle. What brings you around here today?"
For some reason, the thought of a displaced lizardwoman reminded her of Duna.
"Exploring! There are always new and exciting things in cities!"
And, apparently, new and exciting people to turn into.
"You are very nice--most humans do not appreciate when Neeko turns into them."
"Ah, yes. Well perhaps I've gotten a bit more numb to such things when two other people who look like me appeared in my life."
And she was thankful there wasn't a fourth 'sister'.
"I wonder if the Loftwings had an elemental affinity, like the phoenixes?" Noelle ponders to herself, as she looks over some notes.
"Perhaps air? They were said to be sky birds that lived above the clouds, and didn't seem to have overt elemental affinity...but perhaps they did..."
The Trump administration is cynically exploiting calls for stricter AI regulation to pass broad censorship measures at the federal level.
So, in terrible news, Trump's trying to pull some strings to pass this massive internet censorship bill, featuring all the kinds of internet censorship we're terrified of, including mandatory ID for accessing basically any website, specifically to crush state regulation of AI, because apparently this man will always see the moral bottom of the barrel and start digging.
So, if you live in the US and hate censorship and AI you know what to do, contact your congresspeople and tell them do not fucking dare let this through or so help us god...
IMPORTANT UPDATE: The bastards just worked out a deal on the package, and they're going to try and ram it through the House in the next couple of weeks.
So, if you've been waiting to call, the time is NOW. Do it ASAP, be polite, be informed, but light up those phones like a Christmas tree!

"That sounds wise, although I hope my 'masquerade' of faith isn't too distasteful for you. I don't mean to cause offense with my ignorance." And her lacking personal faith.
"But I'll be happy to learn, from you or any of the others here." The inquisitor was doubtlessly a busy man, and she was uncertain if he'd have time to educate someone on the most basic of basics.
Temenos shook his head. "Not at all. Truthfully, I find those who put complete, blind faith in scripture to be rather foolish." A bit blunt, to be sure, but Temenos felt Noelle was someone he could be more readily honest with... At least without getting into a heated debate. "Legends and stories passed down by humans change over time. The truth becomes muddled, or lost between the lines. I'm by no means saying that the gods don't exist, but I've always been a skeptic at heart. In truth, doubt is what I do."
The cleric stood up. "With that being said, I do also sometimes put on paper plays for the children in town. As it happens, I have one scheduled for this morning. Perhaps you'd like to accompany me? Watching it may give you a better insight regarding our deities."
The short mage seemed surprised by his admission, but she appeared to finally relax a little. "I'm thankful for that. It's wise to question things." She was beginning to truly see why she was sent here by Osvald.
Her expression brightened with academic delight. "Old stories can tell us much, but the real truth at the heart of them can take time and inquiry to bring to light."
"I would love to accompany you for this performance. Do let me know if I can aid you in any way with it. I know a couple tricks that can help bring a story to life...metaphorically speaking."

Crystal gets a note from ariel- saying to meet up with her at night near the back of the shrine.
Strangely, noelle also gets the same letter, worded the same.
Noelle's body arrives first. She's prompt, of course, but it would seem the angel takes these things with greater urgency.
Still, the angel's body is not far behind as they also arrive.
The angel's body looks towards the short woman, who doesn't react to the presence of the other one.
"Umm...Ariel?" Crystal's body asks, flatly.
"Sorry, but no." A familiar mans voice said.
Philip stepped from behind the tree, sipping a cup of tea. He blew on it slightly for a momment, then sips on it.
" sorry for the deception. Didnt think you two would come if I asked, to be honest."
He looked at the two of them, his gaze lingering on them for a seccond. "... so you two really did switch bodys. That's a first for noelle, right?" He nodded at noelle in crystals body. " but not a first for crystal."
"No." The two reply simultaneously. Noelle's body doesn't react, but Crystal's looks a bit put-off.
"It happened before when-" Noelle begins.
"When I deceived her, took her body, and later her sound." The angel states. Factual, but perhaps a bit too direct. The angel's body looks at the ground for a moment.
"I've also swapped sizes with Wicht, and been partially-possessed by Oba..." Noelle mutters.
"Those incidents do not involve swapping bodies." The angel rebutts. Noelle sighs, defeated.
Noelle decides to let it drop, regarding Philip again. "Why did you think we wouldn't show up?"
