So, it’s been 4 months!

And I thought I should do some explaining. Some of you I’ve talked to on Skype so you’re aware of why I’ve pretty much disappeared from here, and some of you have had no clue whatsoever. (And for that I’m really sorry. Communicating with everyone is hard on my end.) But the short explanation is that my health just wouldn’t let me be here anymore. Despite what it looks like, running an RP blog on tumblr is an extremely active hobby, and about 4 months ago, I just didn’t have the energy to spare anymore. About a year and a half ago now, I totally trashed my arms through a combination of a weight training injury and just my muscles finally giving up. It left me in A LOT of pain, especially when sitting up and my computer writing for hours on end. I also work as a digital freelance artist, so basically... I was kind of in pain all the time no matter what I did. >>;; Some days were better then others, and some days I was stubborn and stayed up doing stuff even thought it was hurting me a lot. But I was really at a point where everything was starting to stall in a lot of areas, and I got so sick of it, I kind of called a quits on pretty much... Everything. (I think all I did was play video games for two weeks. >>;)

In Decemeber, I decided to do something about it! I’ve been doing acupuncture since a bit before Christmas, and it’s really REALLY helped. I’m actually almost pain free now!!! YAY!! I’m able to work on my computer with relatively low pain (using this scale as a reference, my pain used to vary between 8-5 most days. Now it’s down to 0-2 range. THAT’S HUGE!!!!) and it has been so nice. Does this mean I’ll be coming back here? I’m not sure yet. Right now I’m using my regained ability to think and move better to get my job back together. My comics took a pretty big hit while they were all on hiatus, and when I’m not working on them, I’m doing commissions and creating prints. I’m selling at a convention in July!

But along with that... I’ve sort of realized how much of my time RP takes up, and I’m not sure if I want to devote so much to do it. That doesn’t mean that I don’t think the time isn’t worth investing in the friendships I’ve made or the characters I have, it’s just that I need to portion up my days and times more carefully since I have a pretty busy life now. If I’m spending all my time working on my computer, and then I spend my freetime on it too, when the hek am I getting away to do other stuff?? Like play video games, play with my cat, or spend time with my husband? It just becomes this endless loop of, “Give me a second!” while I stay online another 1-2 hours chatting with someone, or trying to write a well-thought out reply. Another thing I’m going to admit is that I think I’m outgrowing the mentality of tumblr RPing. It’s all so very ‘me!me!me!’ with people scrambling for followers and constant attention or having their RPs be these huge arcs full of drama and angst, and I’m just... Very over it. I’ll take my small collection of friends and RPs about afternoon tea over all that fuss any day. But doing it in an environment where I’m constantly bombarded by it all was definitely wearing me down.

I don’t think I’m giving up RPing entirely, but until I get a better handle on managing my time, it’s definitely on the backburner. Skype kind of is as well if some of you haven’t noticed. It’s not that I don’t like you all anymore, I’m just picking and choosing who I spend time with more carefully.  But please know that I still love you all! I think about a lot of you daily, and wonder how you’re doing. I just can’t always stop to chat is all. I hope you’re all doing your best, and are as healthy as can be!! I’ll see you guys when I see you, okay?

Hi! I thought I should drop in again and prove that I am still alive. I’m actually more then alive, I’m doing really good!! My health has improved by a big chunk, and I’m actually able to sit at my computer again for extended periods of time. That was sort of a big reason why I disappeared; I really wanted to roleplay but my body just couldn’t keep up.

I should be hopping back here in the next few weeks! Muse has been tugging on me the last two weeks, but I just haven’t had the time to really listen to what she’s wanting. See you all soon!

heyyyyyy-! I just wanted to pop in and say sorry for disappearing out of the blue again! I’m fine, everything’s fine! I’m actually doing pretty good!!! No pain, I’m having lots of fun doing Inktober and playing video games. I’m just not very motivated to RP, that’s all.

I still love you all very much though! Don’t be afraid to poke me on Skype if you’ve got it. You’ll see me again, don’t fret. ;3
