I want to see old people in polyamorous relationships. I want to see trans old people, nonbinary old people, asexual trans people... And I don't just mean people in their forties and fifties either. Let's take it all the way to the retirement home! Old people deserve LGBTQ representation too!

Childcare and healthcare jobs are great (one of my current jobs is being a private caregiver for neurodivergent kids). Wonderful. All sunshine and rainbows. Please read this because it is EXTREMELY important me (a transgender man) and to other trans individuals.

The US Government is currently trying to pass an incredibly dangerous national law for trans youth called HR 2616.

This bill would ban all Federally funded schools from teaching about gender identity or sexual orientation, prevent teachers from using the correct pronouns and names for trans students, remove books with any trans representation in them, and even go as far as to prevent teachers from acknowledging trans identity AT ALL.

Any school that does not follow this will lose all federal funding. This bill would also require teachers to forcibly out trans students to their families, which would be fatal to any trans student with a transphobic Family or just hateful family in general. Trans people are already a group that already has some of the highest rates of being victim to suicide, domestic violence, and sexual assault.

This bill actively makes teachers put those innocent children at such a big risk. This bill has rapidly passed the house this week with support from all 209 republicans, as well as 8 democrats. But, it's still being voted on in the senate, which means there is still time to help stop this.

To help stop this, you can visit 5calls.org (look up 2616 in the search bar), one of the most top issues filed Oppose Attacks on LGBTQ+ Students. Once you put in your general location, it will pull-up contact information for your senator, and give you a script for calling them.

If you are a minor and/or do not feel comfortable doing this, PLEASE repost this on here, or any other platform you are on/can find! This needs to be heard and fought against.

I think big sister!Lottie doesn't often come out unless she's in a good place with her mental health, but when she does appear she is so, so loved. She likes to make light-catchers with the little ones, bake in the middle of the night, and collect tamagotchis that she never keeps alive.

She's so incredibly protective of her baby siblings, and wants them all to know how special they are. She gives me the vibes of the song 'Light' by Sleeping At Last.

Jackie Taylor’s American Girls 💚

As an Australian who doesn’t have five billion dollars to spend on shipping but spends a lot of time looking at AG doll clothes for my dolls… the yjs are getting my dreams today

So Jackie’s childhood doll would almost certainly have been Kirsten - she adored her doll, and played with her till her limbs became loose and her parents told her she was too old for dolls. Kirsten went into the back of her wardrobe and stayed there until Jackie fished her out post rescue. Tai manages to fix up her limbs and Laura Lee helped Jackie brush the tangles out of her hair - Jackie is ecstatic. The next doll Jackie would get is the Just Like You 12 - she’d be a Christmas present when the others realise how much Jackie adores her dolls. She names her Princess Jax - Princess Jax always wears a tiara but never ever wears a dress. Kit is next - Jackie falls in love with her and her story. She absolutely gets obsessed with playing Journalist to be just like Kit!

She has so many sets!! Spoilt rotten as a child she had most of Kirsten’s sets - though her favourites were her midsummer dress and her bedtime collection. Alongside her truly me doll Jackie received the Red Vinyl Jumper outfit, the 98 birthday outfit and the Soccer set. For Kit, Jackie’s favourites are her play dress and her typewriter set. She has other clothes and sets - plus plenty hand made by herself and Laura Lee!!

YJS birthday wishlists!

Shauna: Anything related to her stories! Bonus points if its a character from her favourite book/film, like a character doll or toy! Either that or a comforting item that she associates with 'babies'. She won't accept a dummy if she's given one after everyone goes shopping, but if its just something thats been thrown in with her presents and therefore 'not actually for Shauna' but something she mays as well keep it so she doesn't hurt the givers feelings. (Sneaky Van!)

Jackie: Something homemade! Her parents always got her flashy things, so she doesn't have much want for that, but she loves it when someone makes something for her - like the time Robin and Lottie made her a banner with hand-drawn ponies all over it!

Nat: Music! Little baby toys that make lots of fun sounds: fisher price/little tikes musical instruments and tape recorders are her favourites. She'll play and giggle to them for hours.

Misty: Craft kits! Kids sewing kits, rock paintings, step-by-step diamond art, you name it. Her rooms covered in cute things she's proudly made!

Mari: Big, even if its not fancy! Mari likes a celebration, especially if its about her so the more things that are just covered with blankets, since paper wont fit the better! One year Van made her a dollhouse out of an old broken dresser and Mari practically lost her mind!

Lottie: Honestly she's probably one of the hardest to buy for: buying her things for when she's little is kind of impersonal since its mostly warm blankets or bottles because she's normally so young, but everyone also panics since Lottie grew up rich and they assume she wants fancy things. I think Lottie mainly likes sentimental things though, and little Lottie just likes the company that her birthdays give her! (though she would NEVER say no to another tamagotchi for the graveyard - I mean functional community... not... - that lives in her bedside drawer...)

Tai: Pretty dress-ups! This little one loves to get prettied up and play pretend, so the more dress ups she has the better - bonus points if it has kids make-up sets with it. She's the best fairy-surgeon-vet-professor-princess you've ever seen.

Van: Collectables! Vans by far the easiest to by for since they like so many things and it doesn't have to be brand new. Their favourite thing is to collect lots of VHS tapes, and its the one thing they keep organised!

Akilah: A trip to petting zoos or something musical! The petting zoo is pretty self explanatory (she just loves animals but they're pretty limited with what they can get) but she also loves music with definite beat because it grounds her so much!

Laura Lee: Pretty things! She's such a little magpie. Things like twinkly lights that she can look at, or shiny, clinking bangles are loved very much!!

Mel: She'll say whatever the others want, but actually she LOVES ponies and horses, so toys like that! I've heard she's been aching for a hobby horse but is pretty nervous the others might make fun of her...

Urgent Bathroom Access Card- Free to Use!

In honor of disability pride month, we created a free urgent bathroom access card for anyone who needs to get to the toilet quickly. This is a free resource for anyone to use and you can save the image digitally or print it as a small card.

Some people who may find this useful are people with overactive bladder, people with various forms of incontinence, people using stoma bags or catheters, people with dysautonomia, people with IBS or IBD, people with autism or ADHD, people with neurological issues affecting bladder or bowel control, people taking medications that affect the bladder or bowels, people with mental health issues that physically impact the bladder or bowels, people with endometriosis or PCOS or another pelvic disorder, people with pelvic floor dysfunction, and more. This can also be used by people who are not disabled but still need urgent access to a bathroom, such as elderly people, people with periods, or pregnant people.

We are hopeful that this will help people who need it, and that it will raise awareness to some of the disabilities that are less talked about and more heavily stigmatized, specifically those that affect the bladder and bowels. All disabilities should be able to be discussed freely without shame or fear, including incontinence and related issues. Our system also struggles with bladder control, and we understand how shameful and difficult it can feel. We hope to one day be part of helping to change that.

Happy disability pride month to all, but especially to people with disabilities affecting continence. Hopefully this helps make it a little bit easier for someone.

(Also, we apologize for the lack of a more inclusive bathroom sign to use on the card. It was the best free graphic we could find, but we are looking into making a better one with some help from some of our more artistic friends, so stay tuned for that and feel free to send feedback on what you'd like in a better version.)

Being a touch starved lesbian with mommy issues is literally torture. Today I had a medical class to prep for an internship I'm applying for, so naturally I was surrounded by pretty nurses. I spend unhealthy amounts of time just dreaming about being held and getting forehead kisses and being adored by an older woman. The PAIN of having a woman you're hopelessly fawning over in your mind all over you and knowing you'll probably never even see her again (and also she's unavailable) is unreal! We were practicing vitals and patient movement; she literally picked me up to demonstrate a transfer skill. It was the best six hours of my life but now I'm so lonely 😭😭😭😭😭.

I almost exclusively write sapphic ships only but hear me out: Robby x Dana x Jack, but in like a completely nonsexual, sort of queerplatonic situationship way and literally everyone else knows before they do. Like, the pittlings literally have to explain that most people don't shower with their friends every night 'out of convenience', especially when it's two men and a woman. No, most friends don't pool their resources on an expensive, extra large mattress so they can all sleep comfortably together every single night. No, most friends don't buy each other rings that look suspiciously like wedding rings and call them friendship rings but refuse to ever take them off or let them out of their sight. It takes the med students and residents MONTHS to convince those three that they're a little more than 'best friends'.
