Tips to stop Procrastinating

1. start small

3. dont overthink it

Before you start, get out all of your concerns about the task. Then, come up with a strategy to overcome each concern.

Create a space that is free from distractions like clutter, television, cell phones, and other family members or activities so you can focus on your assignments.

5. stick to a schedule

Create a schedule that includes the due dates of any upcoming assignments. Schedule a time to work on projects and set deadlines to work toward.

6. take breaks

Avoid checking in on social media or text messages. Instead, use a 5-10 minute study break to stretch or go outside for a walk before getting back to work.

7. keep the list short

Complete a task before starting a new one. This will help avoid feeling overwhelmed by working on too many tasks at once. A study schedule will help here as well, outlining exactly what you should be working on and when.

8. adjust expectations

It’s ok not to be perfect—the goal of any project is to do your best and learn from any mistakes you make so you can get a little better each time.
