Ok so you think John robotnik is just a hater but he only acts that diabolical to sonic

Amy:doesn’t care

Knuckles: breaks his arms when knuckles inevitably try’s to punch him

Tails: a estranged little brother figure 

Shadow: sees him as a little brother and will help/protect him at all costs his like the always around over protective older brother even though shadow is technically his uncle

John Isaac robotnik is a more complex and unstable character
