Well.. This is me. I am 23 years old and I have been a swiftie for 11 of those years. It all started with a summer night, just surfing around my sisters iPad. All of a sudden I found your music video, “You Belong with Me” while on YouTube and it went quickly uphill from there. I learnt everything I could about you, your life story and it really hit me hard, because it reminded me so much of my own. I also experienced injustice growing up, severe bullying, I was left out, there were roomers and it was just too much to handle for a child, when I had no one that understood or stood by me. Like children then do, I went searching for someone to understand what I had been through, someone to tell me it was going to be okay. That random summer night on my sister’s iPod changed my life. Finally there was someone who understood what I was feeling, and I found redemption in your songs and lyrics right away. “Tied Together with a Smile” became a comfort blanket that held me when no one else would, because that’s what I’ve always been: tied together with a smile, though it all.

Thanks to you I have a reason to smile. Thanks to you I found a best friend for life. Thanks to you my life holds meaning it didn’t have before and thanks to you I’m finally smiling, because I am happy. I am now smiling with joy for a future, with good friends and work that I love.

I’ve been with you for 11 years and I will always be there. Forever and always.

I will always be endlessly thankful for you and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the future. I am ready to explore this new era with you! I can’t wait for a new album to hold close to my heart.

And I have been very lucky to see you twice in concert, both in 2015 in London with my best friend and in Dublin in 2018 with wonderful fellow swfties. I lost my chance to see you in Norway, back in 2011, so now my biggest dream is to see your live in Norway! If not, I’ll of course travel again to see you on your next tour.
