I spent the day being shown around by locals. I was only taking recce shots this one on the Sony a7R #SonyAlpha handheld in Olympic National Forest on an overcast day still with amazing results.

Sony have reinvented the Camera and now you get to reinvent Photography!

This Blog will document my three week West Coast Road trip made possible following an invitation by Sony Electronics to visit them in San Diego to play with their cameras. My first Blog post is from Day 3 of my visit and was shot in Balboa Park, this ‘Indian Laurel Fig’ Tree has been Tattooed by the locals over the years and I very much wanted to show the detail in the inscriptions as well as how this beautiful tree has surged off these indignities. You will have to click on the link to see the amazing detail on the trunk of this magnificent tree, I may well pint this image for exhibition one day and my gut tells me it need to be in monochrome.

This is a picture looking out into the vast universe, if you concentrate you’ll be able to picture the Milky Way at least one super nova and various other nebula. If by any chance you can’t see any stars it’s because your eyes are limiting your ability to see what I’ve photographed.
