hi chat. commission sheet bc lowkey whatever's wrong with my body is getting me and everyone irl really wants to force the notion that i am a perfectly abled person

i am disabled. commissions may take a while + be queued if i get a lot. but i will be working through them slowly on top of trying to get into jewelling for a chance at a livable wage job without making myself worse

There was a happy, rumbling purr from Sparks, who closed his eyes happily as he let Frosting wiggle his comparatively big head around. That was probably a yes.

"He's always hungry," Church teased, patting the Gendrome's scaly flank. "The big rascal."

"Yeeeeah, I dunno if I trust hum enough not to let his chase instinct get the better of him. Then again, one puff of pollen in his face might get him to play nice."

---- His kinsects were pretty good at dodging large monsters after all... that, and his main companion sure liked to make statements when it didn't like something.

"Could be something for the future!" Frosting remarks, digging into his bag and pulling out a small jar of... honey? (Or was that nectar? Kinsects did enjoy both) Out to let Sparks sniff at. Feedings the Gendrome (just a little bit)

Sparks burbled in appreciation, pushing his head into Frosting's hand--and, to his credit, trying not to knock him over a second time.

"Gendromes do have a pretty good sense of smell..." Church mused. "Even if you can't tell, he probably can. Or maybe he just likes the smell of Kinsects. He's not super used to them."

A soft, inquisitive nod.

---- And the hunter spends a few moments lovingly giving some affection to Sparks similar to how he'd baby one of his Kinsects, squishing his face (or at least, trying to) and gently shaking it around.

"Are you hungry? Is that why you're being silly?" Frosting asks the gendrome quietly with a smile, looking over to Church after. As much as he did have a fascination with monsters-- it was very much different to actually having a monstie. This guy would be notorious for giving people's monsties too many snacks because they looked at him niceys.

"I wouldn't mind letting him play around with them..." a giggle follows, "on the condition that he doesn't try to bite them, of course!"

"Pffft, yeah, but I'm pretty sure this dummy is a liiiittle bigger than a Palamute."

After making sure Sparks was too busy huffing to try and be a little shit again, he gave the Gendrome a pat on the nose, then offered a hand to Frosting to get him back on his feet.

"Uh, you didn't fall asleep under a beehive, right? Sparks likes honey enough to be a menace about it."

He takes the offered hand, dusting off his clothes once he was back standing.

---- "Not that I know of," he gives another low, thoughtful hum. Picking his cane back off the ground. The hunter brings a hand to his chin after a further few seconds as he kept his gaze on Sparks, suddenly muttering a quiet "ah" under his breath.

"I was feeding my Kinsects some earlier..." he begins, running his free hand through his hair again and giving it a quick sniff in an attempt to catch some kind of trace of honey. Turning up... nothing, really. "But that was... maybe about an hour or so ago?"

Frosting reaches out to try and pat the silly Gendrome after with a soft laugh.

"It's possible some of it rubbed off, since they like to perch on my head while I clear out quests..."

"Hey, well- some hunts are more rough than others usually!"

---- No two hunts ever go the same, after all. Some go fast and smoothly- other times, he's watched a group struggle out of just sheer bad luck. Poorly timed clashes between monsters and the such.

"Besides," he continues as he pats his seikret. "Can't say I haven't had my worse days either. Especially when this guy tries to suddenly throw me halfway across the terrain."

The bird makes some kind of disapproving noise in response, and he laughs. A jest, of course- poor thing was just just trying to not get eaten or hit by a giant monster most of the time. It was pretty great at dodging, even if was usually a sudden movement hard enough to fling someone unlucky.

Frosting takes her hand and gives it a few friendly shakes, climbing off his mount and unfolding the cane from one of the side bags holding his glaive. Patting the seikret a few more times before it wandered off to get some rest.

"She has?" A flicker of surprise crosses his face. Though he says that- he supposed that shouldn't be much of a surprise knowing her love for him. The handler rubs the back of his head sheepishly with an amused sigh. He could really only hope it was nothing embarrassing...

"Can't say I'm not interested on what she's told you..." Nonetheless- he was always curious when others spoke of him. He mutters the next sentence, "I mean, I guess it's to be expected knowing her..."

"Sparks, you can't just--"

Nope, too late, Sparks is shoving his nose into Frosting's hair with enough force to nearly knock the poor Hunter over, snuffling at something. Hard to say, really. Church sighed and tried to push the Gendrome's head away, prompting a grouchy bark as his monstie backed up and shook himself a bit.

"Sorry about him, he's never heard of personal space."

"Ah-- hey! Haha!"

---- The hunter is definitely knocked over! Giggling as Sparks shoved his nose into his hair. Frosting continues to laugh even as Church manages to get the Gendrome off him, fixing his hair and headband a little.

"No-- no worries!" He waves a hand dismissively, laughs dying down after a moment. "The Palamutes back in Kamura've knocked people over a lot..."

Frosting hums, running a hand quickly through his hair and checking it after. Muttering to himself, "maybe there was something interesting...?"
