LGBT Muslim thoughts

It’s Ramadan and Pride month at the same time and I’ve never felt this torn in my life. I thought I accepted both parts of myself but I’m not so sure anymore. I know I can still be Muslim if I’m gay but my faith has been getting weaker and weaker. The Orlando Shooting made everything worse bc when I get religious I also try to kill the gayness in me as if it’s some kind of disease that cannot coexist with my religion. 

I know I’m not the only one that feels this way so I’m sending out my love to every queer Muslim out there. You are not alone.

And may the victims of the Orlando shooting rest in peace.
