“the entirety of trans history had consisted of trans women actually getting out there and fighting for everyone else, where were the trans men??” in insane asylums. getting trapped in forced marriages with men with no legal route to divorce. getting impregnated through legal marital rape. getting legally beaten by their husbands due to “rule of thumb” laws. being financially dependent on their fathers or husbands due to women being barred from both the workforce and opening bank accounts/credit cards. committing suicide. that’s where they were.

trans women feel high and mighty and claim authority over the queer community because “all the history is about us!!!11!1! we fought for your rights!!!11!!1” but never contend with the fact that trans women had the privilege to fight. the privilege to break away from the patriarchy, even if it was dangerous. trans men didn’t have that choice

it does say something about the state of the queer community that no one really talks about or cares that since 1991 T has been a class III controlled substance in the united states. for decades now trans men and mascs have had our names tracked and traced if we were legally prescribed T. since before some of you were even born, the american govt has had a list of us.

you need to care about the trans men and mascs who have been on these lists for almost 30 years now. you need to care about more than the threat or concept of trans women and femmes being put on a list, because your brothers are already there.

The kids do NOT deserve abuse or hate, whether it’s because you’re comparing them to Dan/Rupert/Emma or because you’re boycotting due to the author’s views. They are literal CHILDREN.

Your nostalgia over a children’s series about kids going to school is NOT more important than trans people being respected and having rights. As long as JKR is still alive, she profits off of this.
