It's completely unexpected. At first she doesn't know what the package is, but once she opens it - removing the brown paper with delicate hands, careful not to rip the wrapping - she sees the book and the title printed across the cover and a smile spreads across her lips because she knew exactly what it was and who it came from right away.
She takes her time to read the note, taking it in word per word, her smile growing wider the more she reads into it. In her hands was the book that had once been just a dream but was now a reality. She couldn't have been more proud, more hopeful and happier than she was at that moment. As she reads to the end, she couldn't help but laugh at the mention of spoilers and her youtube account.
Finally, she opens up the book, never skipping a page before finally getting to the first chapter. As she reads, she makes a mental to write back and thank him for it, figure out how to use youtube so she can set up an account and write back again once she finishes the story so she can tell him just how proud she is.
