ɴᴏᴛᴇꜱ:
hi guys!!!! i am honored to be the first to write a q!multi x reader fic!! THIS IS A PART 1 and it sadly ends very quickly!! tell me if u guys like it, and i am always up for recommendations!
ᴀʙᴏᴜᴛ:
reader is completely zoned out, staring on multis face. and they aren’t subtle. at all.
ᴛᴀɢꜱ:
mutually pinning, fluff, oblivious love, multi is bad with feelings, worse case of love!!
Multi wasn’t stupid. In fact, he was actually quite smart with gears jogging through his mind 24/7.
Logically smart? Yes.
Scientifically smart? Obviously!!
Emotional intelligence? That was a different story…
Feelings were usually felt irrelevant to him because he had plenty of DNA to study and clones to catch! So why did he feel like…this?
It all started that one day.
Multi was with you in his laboratory, he was simply talking about his experiments that he had done today. Testing reactions and responses the uranium gave to certain actions, how much he had to dilute it enough to melt skin. You know, the basics!
He wasn’t mainly keeping his eyes on you though, he was talking notes about his earlier discoveries as he spoke. You weren’t paying attention at all. Recently you had been so…out of it. Especially around him…
Your eyes dilated as he muttered all about…wait, what was he talking about again? You couldn’t care less to think about it more, your lips parted as your fingers subconsciously fiddled behind your back. He looked so focused on his work, his world of science and possibilities.
It was attractive to hear his voice, not his words but his polish lilt laced into his usual monotone voice that picked up some passion on the way while speaking. You could honestly listen to him speak all day…
“…what do you think?.”
Huh? You immediately snapped out of your thoughts as Multi gazed over at you, asking a question. About what?! Your mind ran at 100 miles an hour as you tried to think of a response. You swallowed and felt your lips parting a couple of times, only to no avail and just a shaky breath falling out.
“i—..well i’m…i don’t know..?”
You mumbled out in a shaky voice, not able to meet his gaze fully now because your face was getting more and more hot. Your shoulders tensed up and just prayed he didn’t question your response.
Multi paused at his immediate panic at his simple ask of his uranium sampling. He observed your face as it grew more red in the face, which he instantly thought was worried. He carefully reached over in one motion to grab your wrist, feeling your pulse only for it to be pounded like your heart was about to burst in one big explosion.
He furrowed his brows instinctively and leant a bit closer to you, letting go of your hand instantly.
“You don’t look well.”
He mumbled out, observing your parted lips and red face now. Your eyes glued to his pale blue ones now because he had that sort of attention grabbing look that always made you stare.
“Huh?.”
You quickly whispered back because you still weren’t even listening. It was like you were practically caught in a daze and completely trapped in a spell.
Now he was worried. You were speechless, red in the face, fast bpm in your poor heart, and you couldn’t stop staring at him attentively like a clueless baby puppy. Multi attempted to think of more and more reasons on why you might be feeling this way.
‘God…was he always so handsome when in the middle of a train of thought?’ you thought which you instantly giggled at out loud on accident because who thinks of any so so sappy like that??
Multi froze immediately at your giggle at…nothing. He whipped his head around to see what was so funny, but it was nothing. Expect for him? Because you were still staring at him, eyes softened. His heart started to suddenly pound too for no apparent reason in his mind.
His mind was going through every illness known to man. Maybe schizophrenia? She was imagining funny things! The flu maybe? That would explain a lot of her body heat and heart racing. Suddenly for no apparent reason, the worst illness ran through his head. Maybe it was cause he was feeling it right now without even knowing.
Oh. Oh.
Love. and everything made sense, all the symptoms matched up. She had a bad case of love, and she needed to be patched up. Immediately.
