I'm highkey obsessed with both the book and movie adaptation of Howl's Moving Castle and I think that the differences between them are both beautiful in their own way but it is also highkey hilarious to me to compare how Howl reacts to Sophie's hair.

Because in the movie he's like, "Sophie! Your hair looks like starlight!" and she throws herself into his arms so hard that they tumble down into a romantic heap.

And in the book he takes a look at her and goes, "Sophie, are you ginger?" and Sophie's like, "It's red gold you wanker."
