Alexis had heard the girl coming but she still didn’t expect to get bumped into. She bit back the vitriol she was about to spit at the stranger with a hiss. Alexis sighed. “Look, you’ve gotta be more careful. I’m working with a lot of dangerous equipment here.” She took a step back and looked the girl up and down. She was pretty, and seemed like a fairly confident person. Alexis assumed that she knew Leo well, and was surprised to see an unfamiliar face in the shop. “Leo’s not here, I’m all you got. You alright with that?”

“Hey, I said I was sorry already.” She looked around realizing they were alone before taking a step back and nodding. She uncrossed her arms and relaxed. “I usually have Leo take care of my car, but i’m sure you’re more than capable.” Tucking her stray hair behind her ear she kept her thoughts to herself as she didn’t know who this girl was and didn’t want to make any rash judgements. “Are you new? I just mean i’ve never seen you here before..”

Arizona was, mostly, getting the hang of being a good boyfriend. Granted, it was helpful that they had known each other for so long, and they knew each other so well. However, this didn’t mean that Arizona wasn’t capable of a surprise or two. He waited until the rest of the class had filed out before heading in, grinning at his girlfriend. “You know, I’d make up some cute story about how I can’t dance and you should teach me but we both know I’d trip the both of us.” He laughed, a bouquet of flowers appearing from behind his back.

Sophie eyed the man at the back of the room before the whole class was out and she couldn’t help but hold back the smile on her face as she turned towards the mirror pretending like she didn’t see him and letting the class file out. She turned towards him as if her cheeks weren’t a bright red and she saw the bouquet and just giggled, “Well Mr. Miller aren’t you just full of surprises!” She walked up to him, planting a small kiss on his lips before taking the flowers and smelling them. “They’re absolutely beautiful, and you’re too good for me! Also, you can step on my toes any day, i’m absolutely sure of that.”

Sophie didn’t know what was going on but she knew that she needed to bring her car into the shop. She was usually able to figure out little things but she needed help, which she wasn’t always able to admit. She drove in expecting to see Leo and when she didn’t she called out, “Hello? Anyone here?” She got out of the car and crossed her arms expecting the worst. She kept a smile on her face walking farther into the shop and bumping into the girl. “Oh god i’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to bump into you. I just need help with my car, I was expecting to see Leo, but I guess he’s not here.”

“Look what I got.” Sutton’s voice was laced with excitement, as she held up an eyeshadow palette. “It’s not released yet. I’m still finalizing the colors…but that’s where you come in.” It wasn’t unusual for Sutton to ask someone for their opinion of the makeup she put out. Although, she didn’t take criticism well, she was a business woman first and foremost. “Give me your honest feedback. Unless it’s bitchy. Then I don’t wanna hear it.” Sutton said, handing off the palette. @sophie-sinclair​

Sophie grabbed hold of the pallet and held it like a baby for a moment rocking it back and forth. “I’m so in love,  i’m never going to stop loving it!” She laughed giving it a kiss before holding it out for the girl to take back. “I always love everything you put out there’s no way i’ll stop now. Can you do my makeup? You know i’m a mess when it comes to anything other than a soft eye look and I need to see this pallet done justice!”

“Oh, that I know.” he winked at her. Sophie was one of the very few women with whom he got involved in the past that he actually got along with pretty well still. Michael stuck a marshmellow at theend of his stick as well and rolled his eyes playfully at her remark. Always one to tease. “I won’t make any promises.” the man said as he held the marshmellow over the flames. “So other than talking people into roasting marshmellows with you, what have you been up to today? Gone for a swim yet?”

“You’re one of the many to know.” She winked back at him playfully enjoying the banter they always had. Someone from her past that she truly enjoyed spending time with, someone who knew her and she wouldn’t want to run away from. “Maybe i’ve pushed some people into the fire, you know an everyday activity.” She rolled her eyes, “I’ve gone swimming a bit, and i’ve been just relaxing. I brought my stash with me so i’ve been just high in the woods and living life.” She couldn’t help but laugh.

It had felt like ages since he had last seen Sophie, not quite as long as the time between him leaving and returning to Peach Hollow but long enough that he wanted to catch up. Which is why he asked her to meet him at Heavenly Hash so they could catch up while Bentley stuffed his face with waffles dripping in syrup and mixed fruits. “Alright so fill me in… though… if you have bad news put it between good news. Fluff it up with happiness like a happiness sandwich.” 

She laughed, as she always did when she was around her friend. It was always nice to be around someone that she trusted and kept her happy. “Arizona and I are still together, does that count as happy news that i’m able to keep a relationship alive for an extended period of time?” She let a smile come across her lips. She didn’t know what else she was going to say, not much had been happening in her life, “I’m going to be an aunt, Scar is prego, and the little bean is going to be so beyond loved. I think that’s enough good news don’t you think?”

You’re screwing my husband. There was something about the phrase that had Jillian’s skin crawl, but she hid the discomfort well. It wasn’t as if she’d intentionally gotten into bed with the other’s partner ( not that they were much anymore ) and if she had known, Jillian would’ve never went home with Sebastian the night. Never would’ve continued to do afterwards. The harmless girl talk over a fire wound up turning into something full of surprise. She didn’t even know that Sophie had any connections with Sebastian let alone being married to the man.

Even without it having to be said, Jillian could tell that the brunette was bothered by it — understandably so. “Sophie .. it’s not like that. It’s just sex, that’s all. Really.” Though she was saying the words to reassure her friend, it felt like Jill was trying to convince herself that it was. “You don’t have to worry about me getting hurt.” The words that came out of her mouth felt just as horrible as it did to say them because she knew what she should’ve been saying. From the second the blonde heard about them, she should’ve told Sophie that it wouldn’t happen again…but, Jill couldn’t get herself to say it. No, it was worse. She didn’t want to say them. Didn’t want to stop.

Sophie looked away she couldn’t find the girls eyes when she was so ashamed of the way she was acting. “I--I’m sorry. It feels like i’m over reacting. I know you never meant to hurt me, fuck it’s not like I even told you I was ever married to the man. My own secrets coming to bite me in the ass.” She felt her heart breaking for some unknown reason, she didn’t know why she couldn’t tell the girl that it was ok, that it was ok she was doing this when she wanted him and her to be happy. She wanted him to move on, she wanted him to find happiness like she has, with someone else. 

“If you say it’s just sex then I have to believe you. I--I want him..I want you to be happy. If he makes you happy then who am I to step in between that? Especially when I have my own happiness to worry about, and at the moment that happiness doesn’t include him.” She looked at her trying to hide the hurt behind her eyes and the feeling of her heart crumbling. “I will always worry about you getting hurt, that’s what family is for, and you’re family.”

After the revelation that she was currently sleeping with Sophie’s husband, the blonde didn’t really know how to face her after. She felt horrible.. guilty. Such a rare thing to see when it came to Jillian Taylor, but it seemed to be different when it came to someone she called a friend. Not even just a friend, Sophie was like family to her and that made it even worse. The remainder of the camping trip had been spent avoiding the other, not really knowing how to face the conversation head on. 

But now that the camping trip was over, it was time to finally talk about it. Bring it out into the open and actually talk to Sophie about it .“Hey,” lips spreading into a soft smile, but never truly meeting her eyes. “Should we talk about.. you know?”

Sophie never knew how to react when people found out she was married, it felt as if she was living behind bars with this secret for so long she didn’t know how to approach the topic. When she found out about Jill and Bash she didn’t know what to say. How could she be mad when she was so happy in her own relationship. How could she hold him back from finding someone else, and yet she felt like she wanted to scream at the girl for taking something from her. And yet it was all up for grabs anyway. 

Sophie found a soft smile forming on her lips as she accepted the news she had heard. “I guess we should talk. I mean what is there to talk about? You’re screwing my husband. He tends to get around, be careful of that one.” She looked away not wanting to admit anything in this moment but not wanting to be cruel to the girl as well. This wasn’t her fault. “I just mean he hurt me, he tends to hurt people. I don’t want him to hurt you.”

Sebastian couldn’t help the way his heart did a little dance the same time she did one, it was instinct, something that couldn’t be chased away with official paperwork, whiskey or even time itself. Afraid it would last forever he stifled his smiled, taking a deep breath. “Well it’s good you’re home. You seem happiest here. And you don’t say?” he asked cocking an eyebrow. “I haven’t.. I saw bridge to terabithia , in fact you made me watch that movie and I still hate you for it.” he chuckled. “But if you jump, I’ll jump.” he offered. 

Sophie pushed some hair behind her ear and she took another sip of her drink, “I couldn’t run away forever, and the conference was only a week or so.” She admitted. She always knew she was going to come home, she needed to face her fears and being friends with her ex husband was one of them. She was afraid of what she feels and how she’ll react to being around him. Her anger dulled down, but she couldn’t stop the feelings that were revealed when her anger dulled. She laughed, “I do happen to be evil, make you watch that horribly sad movie.” She looked out towards the lake and took him on, “Oh you’re so on.” She pulled off her shirt to reveal her little black bikini and tossed it to the side by her tent and looked back at him, “Are you going to make me go first, or will you be brave enough to take the leap?” She wiggled her brows and began making her way over to the rope.

The town wide game of manhunt when from fun to dark almost within the span of a couple minutes. What had started off as the usual fun game turned into one of horror, two people being injured and one being hurt. The news came as a shock to nearly everyone and Jillian’s eyes could only remain wide in disbelief. The Peacher. There was no doubt in her mind that would force her to believe otherwise and that alone was terrifying — knots tying in the middle of her stomach. “.. You guys sure you haven’t seen Maggie around?” The blonde questioned toward the remaining people that seemed to stick around while chills forcing her to wrap her arms around herself. “How can any of you be dumb enough to let her wander the woods alone?” 

Sophie stayed pretty quiet, she couldn’t believe what had happened and she didn’t want to believe it but it was all happening right in front of her eyes. She stood alone as she watched everyone around her and their own panic setting in. She saw her friend questioning people, and she couldn’t help but walk over and try to help. “Hey, hey we’re going to find her. It’s going to be ok. It’s not anyone’s fault.” She said, taking the girls hand for comfort as she gave it a small squeeze trying to calm her down.

Hearing the telltale ding of a text, Scout pulled out her phone. She chuckled when she saw the message from Soph and walked in. “Well hey there,” she said loudly, not sure where her friend was. The last thing she wanted to do was scare her. “I brought Darcy but I can throw him in the back if you need me to.”

She looked up from her phone when the girl came in and she just smiled, “No no bring him in that’s totally fine!” She exclaimed wanting to make sure she felt at home. “What’s up, what’s going on?” She was so excited to be around her friends again, she needed to know everything that she missed while she was away.

“That’s my only option, huh?” Michael chuckled lightly as he grabbed the stick that Sophie offered him. “Let’s do it then. It’s been a while since I roasted some marshmallows.” the man said as he followed her over to the bonfire. The camping trip couldn’t have come at a better time. Football season was starting soon and in a couple of weeks he was going to be too busy training. This gave him time to spend with all his friends.

“Good, then you should always have a good time roasting marshmallows. There’s no way to have a bad time when you’re with me.” She joked as she handed off the stick and made her way over to the bonfire. Grabbing a mellow from the bag she stuck it on the end of the stick and looked over at him, “Now don’t go burning down the campsite!” She completely joked, relaxing around the man who knew her well.

Taking the bottle and cracking open the seal she took a long nice swig, using her free hand to grab the sunscreen. Placing her water down and squeezing some lotion onto her hands she looked over at her sister she smirked tightly, “Who would have thought that one of the Sinclair sisters wouldn’t be drinking when we’re together?” she chuckled applying the lotion to her exposed round belly. “Have two for me okay?” she chuckled. “I think Dom brought a bottle from the bar so have a shot on me and the lil one for the record.” she laughed. “Ouch.” she pushed her sunglasses up. “I have to ask Dom if he ever did Karate cause this kid keeps sweepin’ the leg against my left rib.” she shook her head. “C’mere. Feel.”

Sophie looked down at her stomach and couldn’t believe how much she had been showing. There was no doubt in her mind about how good of a mother she was going to be, and how excited she was to be an aunt. This kid is going to be beyond spoiled and she couldn’t hold back her excitement. She laughed, “Well you know I drink you under the table anyway, there’s no doubt that I’ll take an extra one for you and the little guy.” She held out her hand and felt around her stomach looking up at her and smiling. “God, he’s getting so big and so strong!”

Arizona was only slightly caught off guard by his girlfriend’s sudden entrance, one arm easily finding its way around her waist. “Havoc seems like a great idea.” He beamed, kissing her cheek. “To be fair, the two of us drink enough for a small army. There was no doubt that Sophie had been bold in this moment, she wasn’t afraid of who was looking or what was going on. She had also already began drinking and couldn’t hold herself back when she was around him. “I think the plan should be that we just drink and see where we end up. As long as one of us doesn’t walk into the bon fire I think we’ll be ok.” She let her fingers dance along the front of his hair, pushing it back slightly to get it off of his face. She leaned in and whispered in his ear just loud enough for him to hear “I just want you to get me drunk and take advantage of me tonight.”, leaving a kiss right above his ear.
