@sorelegscrew
for the homies at sorelegscrew:
recently picked up this Privitera lo-pro and iāve been loving it
700 rear / 650 front, columbus SLX, OG campy pista crankset and hubs, ITM stem, easton carbon bars and post
i need to gear it down a hair if i wanna work on it - 45/14 is a little gnarly for west philly - but it sure does shred
Some shots from my ride today
Had a fun time taking the CX bike out for its first run

Newest part of the Sore Legs fleet. gromcakeās 2001 Trek 4900. Soon enough itāll be a disc equipped 1x10 XC machine, for now... itās a rat.
what a day, what a day, what a day
what. a. day.
the 12-6 i was supposed to work turned into an 11-9. needless to say, my membership in sorelegscrew has rarely felt more deserved. stoked to have the next two days off; EXTRA stoked that the insane winds weāve had this week look to be subsiding as of tomorrow. iāve got shit to do.
if you live in a city big enough to support a population of working cyclists, please try to be good to them. it is a vital, largely thankless, dramatically undercompensated, wildly dangerous job thatās difficult enough without active antagonism on the part of folks piloting 3000 pound metal cages that smash any illusion of an equal playing field on the streets. you canāt do what we do in a car, though, and thatās why weāre still around. donāt kill us, and⦠for the love of god, if you order food, DONāT STIFF THE DELIVERY GUY.
my back hurts, but not as badly as it did before that bath. tea is brewing, pizzaās in the oven, and iāve got the next two days off. you know what? life is okay.
(somewhat unrelatedly:
i think it bears mentioning that a few cups of epsom salt + your choice of essential oil(s) will do you just as well as anything you can buy at, say, lush as far as a relaxing, rejuvenating bath goes. while i love a bath bomb as much as the next guy, it seems to be a cardinal rule of late capitalism that things tend not to be financially accessible to the people who could use them the most. luckily, there ARE alternatives out there to fit a proletarian budget.)
sitting down now to catch up with some collabs iāve been meaning to get to; currently floating leisurely from a pair of Pioneers double my age is the first ābest of the weather channelā album which, needless to say, is packed with classics. drop me a line i youāre so inclined. iām not going anywhere until morning.
i hope everyone got at least most of what they wanted to get out of today.
<3.
New bag in the works! This is our Americano base design, but part of a new budget series. Same function, comfort, and durability, but with a little fat trimmed off the sides. You dig?
Juan is outchea
Iām really nervous about posting this, but cyclegoth and thespectreofwomanhood are the best and helped me build up the courage to make this post (thank you, friends!!) If youāve been following me for the past year or so, you might have seen that Iāve been hoping to race the Red Hook Criterium since the end of Winter last year, and have been training, whenever my work schedule allowed me, to be sure I could share my best effort on that circuit this coming year. When registration opened this year, I was at work, and it happened to be a day someone called out, so I was too busy working and missed out on securing a slot to race, but I put myself on the wait list. After waiting for almost 3 weeks, I was afraid Iād not be able to race this year, but I was incredibly happy and felt lucky to receive an email saying a space opened up, and that I had a very short amount of time to secure my ticket. I got the time off approved from work, and, very nervously purchased my ticket. To be able to participate in this race makes me so happy, even just the though of it!!! However, I am a struggling youth living in Boston, one of the most expensive cities in the country, and am paying a lot of bills right now, like most of us are, so this has left me feeling a little terrified; the trip will cost me about $250-$300 (bus fare, housing, registration, food, etc), and I do not have much left in my savings. If youād like to support this queer/transfemme person in their hopes to push themselves to their limits with 100+ other people on a brakeless, fixed gear track bike, then Iād appreciate your help so much! Anything is a big helping hand, though I want to stress that I understand a lot of us are tight for money, and most of yāall probably cannot offer me anything, which is more than alright!!! I also understand the importance of this might not translate very well through this post (itās 4:59am and I should be sleeping), but I promise Iām being very sincere. Thank you so much for reading this! This is the email address linked to my PayPal account: [email protected]
This is the most important post on this page so far. Sore Legs Crew might not be much yet, but Robert will be our first official team rider, come this race. Please help them/us out by helping Robert race.

cyclegoth sorelegscrew hereās a little something to get us up and running
pretty much the pirate bay logo, but with a track bike
whatever
!!! Iām so sorry if this seems like bragging, but here are some pictures of my new track bike! I havenāt left a whole lot of this bike stock, and Iām so happy and feel so lucky to be able to put what parts on this bike I love, and what helps me to feel confident. Hoping to have silver bars and black bar tape on it soon!!! This is my training/crit setup, but Iād like to take some pictures of it with my track drops and disc wheel. :*) A lot of work, and help from dear friends, has gone into this bike. It may not seem like it, but this is the product of a lot of love. sorelegscrew :-)
