I wonder what if, Lyre started off as member of the Dawn Brigade? Not that I don't like her story with Lethe as like Cat Cain and Abel units. But beyond her troubles with her love life she doesn't have much to do, so I wonder since her stats tend to be overall lower than Lethes and most other Cat Laguz maybe it'd be fun to have her as the sorta Cat Laguz starter with the Dawns. As to why would she help them? Saving and protecing Laguz around the Daien area and fighting Begnion Laguz hunters maybe, the Desert crew join for similar reasons

this sort of scenario has me thinking about how she’d interact with volug, the only other laguz the dawn brigade/daein army has around for most of the story, especially with the language gap. i think they’d actually play off each other really well with volug acting as a straight man to her antics while she attempts (and fails) to extrapolate whatever point he’s trying to get across. and yeah, from a gameplay perspective lyre would actually get a lot more use out of being in the dawn brigade, since by the time part 3 rolls around you’ve already got so many other better units available that she tends to just end up benched. do you think she’d get the ability to halfshift too?

besides that, the main thing this has me thinking about is how she’d react to ending up on opposing sides of the war with lethe, especially since lyre’s on the largely anti-laguz side. she’d 100% be recruitable to the laguz alliance via lethe dragging her ass back to the gallian army, but it’s interesting to think about how she’d grapple with having to face off against her people and loved ones, supporting a cause and country she doesn’t truly believe in, all for the sake of helping her current allies. or would she have already left after part 1 like the laguz emancipation army? in that case she’d be back with her countrymen and allies, but would ultimately still be forced to face off against the new friends she’d only just been fighting alongside before.
