Unable to miss her tone despite the sound of the rainfall overlying it in a thunderous tattoo against the pavement, Nozomu softly turned his head slightly back in her direction as he reached the plaster wall that formed some vague shelter from the icy rain and leaned against it, happy to be free of fighting the rain for a moment.
❝ Believe me, it can be stressful at times…but nothing really beats watering them on a warm day. I rent an allotment not far from my apartment, and if you ever wanted to try your hand at tending to them then I’d be happy to oblige and teach you what I know. ❞
It was a pretty relaxing job, overall - unless he had to wrestle with a tarp to cover the flowers from the rain like he had the day before - and if she took up his offer then the sly young man would be pleased to have another set of hands to help out, even part time. It would make his work easier, but wasn’t entirely necessary.
The blond was comforted to see that she’d taken the bait, and though he had very little understanding of what she was talking about ( ‘gyaru’? ) it seemed to ease things a little bit.
❝ That’s fairly interesting in its own right - I’m sure most people would do their best to avoid an unco-ordinated attire, but you’ve rather made it into your own distinct style. I bet that stands out in Harajuku. ❞
Ah! A repair! Shiga took the opportunity to use it as a temporary repair aswell---forgetting to hide her haste in doing so, leaning against the wall and letting a relieved sigh out. She knew it wouldn’t last long, but at least to stop for a moment the feeling of raindrops piercing through her so preciously treated hair--it was worth it.
“...Hm? You’d... teach me what you know?” now she was surprised, indeed. Such a suggestion in the middle of a storm, even---! But it sounded pretty nice, she had to admit. “I... Ah, well, it’d be kind of cool, actually... if it’s not a bother for you, of course. I do tend to promise I’ll be available some days to then have some business out of nowhere I have to attend, though--I’ll warn you about that.”
Because not only she was a gyaru, but ALSO a bassist in a band that worked hard pretty much everyday. Maybe when she’d become more famous she’d have more time to herself---but as emerging band, they had to work their asses off. Which was essentially what they were doing.
His words regarding her attire, though, striked her as compliments, making her a little tad embarassed. Mostly because yeah, he did say something along the lines of ‘it’s uncoordinated sure but you pull it off well’, but the fact that it was happening when they were in a rainstorm in which she ended up getting her whole face wet with droplets and makeup was----ashaming. Maybe that was the right word to use in this case.
“Uh... Thank you. I mean, it does kind of stand out... though I’ll probably go with something more coordinated next time. I mean, I like each one of these garnments a lot, individually speaking, and altogheter they’re not too bad, but---I could’ve picked better, y’know? I gotta keep my fashion senses always tinglin’. It’s something I need, especially if I’m making my name through the industry or something...”
The last piece was mumbled; maybe because she noticed mentioning ‘music industry’ or ‘band’ would sound a bit... self-promoting. Which she didn’t like. After all, she only really spoke about that if she was asked about it. The blonde looked up at the sky, and sighed-- this storm wasn’t going to cease any soon, was it?
