Did Lady Daniella really fire you?
I wouldn't be here if she did....
She killed fired her former maid for calling her terrible....
────── “How does it feel to work for Lady Daniela? Does she mess with you a lot?”
Sorina and Alisson never really had the opportunity for long conversations but today they had the afternoon off because the sisters were out for a hunt.
She sat at a wooden table, both hands wrapped around a tea cup. Always having this nervous and tired look on her face. "I swear this girl has an endless amount of energy. There is not a single day without some sort of game of hers." She sighed, taking a sip of her tea. "But Daniela is really sweet.... when she's in a good mood. When not...She can be frightening," Sorina admitted quietly. Her grip tightened on the cup, and she quickly looked down. "I mean...." she started, then stopped, her voice quieter now. "Not always. Only sometimes. When she...." She shook her head, not wanting to talk about it. "It is probably easier with Lady Bela. I mean, most of the staff talks good about her."

Alisson shrugged. She wanted to say that these things tended to happen in a family like this, that it was normal… But the words wouldn’t leave her mouth. The only humans there were them: the maids. And many of them, their innocent lives, were taken in the worst possible ways, and even if Alisson tried to turn a blind eye, she knew it wasn’t normal. Sometimes she felt guilty for still standing while so many others had already fallen. She didn’t know if it was a reward or a punishment. ────── “It’s nothing. You get used to it.” — The words sounded strange coming from Alisson: a girl who used to flinch at the slightest touch, who would cry at the smallest harsh word, who showed overwhelming empathy even toward those who didn’t deserve it. In the end, a job like this hardened a person. ────── “I’d like to say that, between them, they’re almost human… It’s true that sometimes Lady Bela insults Cassandra or Daniela, but she doesn’t mean it. I know that... ” — She admitted, standing up from the sofa alongside the other girl. She heard that small joke. Of course she did, and her ears quickly turned red. Her? Carry Bela to bed? If anything, Bela probably weighed twice as much as she did, assuming her weight matched her height, of course. Even if she tried with all her strength, they’d probably both end up on the floor. And Bela would not be happy about it. ────── “Don’t say nonsense.” — Her cheeks grew redder the more she spoke. She tried to hide her embarrassment with a small laugh, but even she could feel her skin burning; not at the thought of Bela, but at the thought of what kind of humiliation she'd have to go through if she actually carried her Lady. Alisson cleared her throat and began to follow behind Sorina. At the same time, she tried to change the subject as surreptitiously as possible. ────── “And... How do I do that kind of reverse psychology? Without Daniela noticing, of course... Or she won’t let you have an opinion on anything.”
Sorina slowed her steps slightly so Alisson could fall into place beside her. She glanced at her briefly and noticed the color still lingering on Alisson’s cheeks. She did not comment on it, only a small, knowing look flickered across Sorina’s face before she looked ahead again.
Her gaze stayed forward, watching the corridor ahead, the hallways always seemed quieter when the sisters weren't home. "With Lady Daniela, if she thinks you are trying to guide her, she will notice. And she will not like it." Her hands brushed against the fabric of her apron as she walked. "You have to say something in a way that feels like it was her idea…" she continued, "then it is easier to guide her." Her voice lowered a little. "Let her speak. Let her change her mind out loud. And when she does, you… help her arrive where you needed her to be. Just a gentle push." Sorina’s gaze dropped for a moment, thoughtful. "But it doesn't always work,” she admitted a little more quietly, almost like something learned the hard way.
They walked a few more steps in silence. Sorina was thinking. How could you manipulate someone as smart as Alcina Dimitrescu's eldest daughter? "With Lady Bela it might be a little bit more difficult, she's not easily distracted as Daniela." She wasn't too familiar with Bela but from what she heard from Alisson gave her an idea. "She is more like the Countess. She values things being done properly." Sorina glanced at Alisson again, briefly. "Which means she strongly cares about doing things well. So….you could remind her that proper work requires proper rest. That if she is tired, she may overlook something. Which means it would reflect poorly… when everything she does is meant to reflect well on her mother. Bela would not want that." Sorina adjusted her sleeve slightly, a small, absent motion. "It would not sound like telling her what to do,” she added. “Only helping her maintain her own standards."
I got this ask on my main blog but it fits better here: Daniela’s maid, do you ever think Daniela would be a good partner?
"Lady Daniela is…very attentive.
If she chooses you, she does not lose interest easily. She can be very... playful. Very handsy engaging. It is just… how she is.
If you understand her and respect her... I think she could be…kind.
But you should have a strong stomach...."

Alisson kept her eyes fixed on the other maid. Oh, of course Daniela was the most unpredictable; she was the youngest. The woman nodded, leaning back against the sofa and crossing her legs elegantly, just as Bela would; some habits tended to stick. ────── “Yes, I was right there, actually… I remember her; she was a bit of a nervous girl. I recall she went to serve Daniela and, by accident, stained her dress. Daniela flew into a rage… And, well… That happened.” — She recalled the events just as they had been etched into her memory. The fact that one of her coworkers now bore a scar across her face was not something easily forgotten. ────── “Daniela, worried about Lady Bela? Ah… Yes, that’s true. The other day I found her asleep at her desk.” — Alisson shook her head in disapproval, as if she didn’t agree with Bela’s actions. ────── “I understand that the Lady of the Castle entrusts responsibilities to Lady Bela, but…” — Her voice dropped to a whisper; the first time Alisson had whispered throughout the entire conversation. ────── “… But I worry about her. I don’t like seeing her like that. I try to help her in every way I can, but sometimes she won’t let me.” — She sounded almost upset.
Small smile crossed her face when she saw how Alisson was sitting. Obviously Bela's chambermaid.
"That's so sad. Daniela told me about it. Saying she didn't mean to hurt her. Apparently….it just happened." And at first Sorina thought that Daniela might have been truly sorry but the young Dimitrescu brushed the incident off quite quickly, not caring a single bit about the girl. "I'm sorry you had to witness that…"
Sorina set her now empty cup aside and clasped her hands together on her lap. "She often worries about her sisters. She's also talking a lot about them. How smart Bela is and what a great huntress Cassandra is. It's kinda cute." Moments like that made them seem almost human sometimes. Hearing Bela slept at her desk made her raise a brow. "Really? That's not healthy sleep…." Sorina briefly wondered if Bela could get back pain. Did they even have bones? She quickly shook that thought off. "Maybe the countess should give some of those responsibilites to Lady Daniela because that girl is spoiled like crazy…" Since day one it was pretty clear to Sorina that Daniela was the spoiled baby of this family. "I mean….you could always carry her to bed…." She laughed softly at the thought of Alisson carrying Bela Dimitrescu to bed. Given the height difference it would look funny. "Well, we servants have no right to tell a member of the family what they should do or not. But what I've learned with Daniela is that sometimes it works if you twist your suggestions in such a way that she believes that she had made the decision."
Sorina got up from her seat. "I need to stretch my legs a bit. Are you coming along?"

Sorina was a good companion in Alisson’s eyes: hardworking, yet careful. Respectful, but not entirely naïve…
Truthfully, even if Alisson was a good few years older than her, Sorina felt like good company when there wasn’t much to do.
That afternoon, Bela and Daniela had gone hunting. God knew what they were going to hunt, but that was something Alisson preferred not to think about. She took a sip of her tea, listening to Sorina’s words and giving small nods in response. Oh, God... Endless energy… That was one of the things that affected Alisson the most, and not in a good way. Excessive energy stressed her, overwhelmed her.
────── “I understand.” — She replied, clearing her throat. The cup in her hand now sat empty; Alisson always consumed things as if it were her last meal. ────── “Don’t worry, I understand what Daniela can be like. I don’t know her as well as I know Lady Bela, but… Sometimes she’s predictable. I think.” — Not even Alisson had a fully formed opinion on Daniela. ────── “Mhm, I’d like to say that everything is perfect with Lady Bela… But it isn’t. Sometimes she gets upset when her things aren’t in place, or when, out of nerves, you make a mistake… I think she’s more of a perfectionist. More… indignant? I’m not sure how to put it. She treats me well, more or less, but sometimes she can be scary. I suppose that’s normal.”
Sorina hesitated for a moment before speaking again. You could never be sure if there wasn't a fly on the wall somewhere, listening.
"I think…” she began, more quietly now, choosing her words with care. "Daniela is… the least predictable of them. With Bela and Cassandra, you know what is expected. If something is wrong, it is clear and you can correct it." She drew in a small breath. "You probably heard about the maid that made a small mistake at the dinner table and…Daniela slashed her face with a knife….Poor girl." Sorina glanced down, as if checking the surface of the tea instead of the other maid’s expression.
"Bela reminds me of the Lady of the castle, in some ways. They both have their strict routines." Her voice steadied slightly as she spoke. "They are particular and notice everything. But it is… consistent. With Daniela it's not always like that." She paused, then added more softly, "But she does have her kind moments…"
She lifted her cup and took another sip. "Oh, speaking of kind, you should know that Daniela is worried about Bela. She said Bela is skipping meals and doesn't rest."
Diary
January 15th....
It was my first day working at the castle today.
I was assigned general duties, including cleaning the halls and assisting in the kitchens. The other maids were kind and helpful.
The castle is much larger than I expected. I was told not to enter certain areas unless I am called. The private chambers were mentioned more than once.
Every room is warm. The fires are always burning, even at night. I am not sure why.
January 18th....
I saw one of the daughters today.... Lady Cassandra....there was blood on her.....She was laughing. No one else reacted, so I tried not to either.
Later, I thought I heard something behind me near the staircase, but when I turned around there was nothing there. I do not think I imagined it.
I felt like I was being watched.
I wish I could go home....

To all members of the household staff…. and all guests of Castle Dimitrescu,
It has come to my attention that Lady Daniela’s presence is too often met with panic and distress. This is most improper. Her Ladyship does not seek to frighten, she merely wishes to play. Such simple entertainment should not be met with screams or attempts to flee, as this is considered quite rude. When Lady Daniela approaches, you will remain calm and receptive. You are, after all, being given the honor of her attention. Do try to be polite. She greatly prefers willing participants.
—Chambermaid of Lady Daniela Dimitrescu
This is an rp/ask blog for my Resident Evil oc, Daniela Dimitrescu's chambermaid.
NAME: Sorina Petrescu NICKNAME(S): “Little Mouse” (by Daniela)
AGE: 21 GENDER: Female
ROLE: Personal Chambermaid assigned to Lady Daniela Dimitrescu
ORIGIN: Dealu Mare, Romania
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Current residence: Castle Dimitrescu, Dealu Mare, Romania
Physical Appearence
Height: 5'2" (157 cm)
Eye colour: Brown
Skin colour: Pale
Hair colour: Brunette
Her hairs kept tightly pinned beneath a maid’s coif, though loose strands often escape because her hands shake often.
Her eyes are soft, constantly flickering toward movement, sound, or the shift in someone’s tone. There are faint shadows beneath them from poor sleep. Her uniform is always immaculate… at first glance. Upon closer inspection, some stains never quite come out....
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
PERSONALITY:
Sorina is quiet, obedient, and intensely perceptive. She has learned to read danger not in actions but in pauses, in the shift of tone and in the subtle change of a smile.
She is almost always in a state of tension. She startles easily. Loud laughter, sudden movements, or her name spoken too sharply can make her flinch.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
RELATIONSHIP: LADY DANIELA DIMITRESCU
Sorina deals with constant emotional whiplash.
Daniela is playful and teasing in ways that feel almost affectionate...until they aren’t.
One moment, Daniela is all bubbly and sweet and the next, she has her hand around your throat.
Daniela calls her “Little Mouse,” sometimes gently and sometimes in a way makes Sorina's stomach twist.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
BACKSTORY:
Sorina was taken into the castle’s service after her family fell into hardship.
At first, she served among the other maids and was later reassigned to be Daniela's chambermaid. Some pitied her. Others avoided her.
