Delicate lace makes this an elegant project that will go faster than you think--make it for yourself as an indulgence in just a short while
Hat project 2024 is well underway. I've got some new stuff up on Ravelry. Here's one.
Wynn is up on Ravelry--bulky yarn, big needles, two color options--you can finish it before Christmas!
The Alma hat is up on Ravelry!
Ribbing with an inserted cable panel makes this hat an interesting piece and a fun knit. Cables challenge you a bit and the ribbing goes fa
Hey, I'm back! Check out my newest hat pattern!
This poncho starts at the bottom and is worked with twisted stitches to form the textured design. Two versions--a longer and a shorter (pictured)--are given in the pattern. It can be worn with the point down or the straight edge across, since it’s square. Blocked size is about 27” square for the shorter version and 35” square for the longer version.

‘The Body Farm’ is a 2-acre area of Knoxville, Tennessee, that’s filled with hundreds of bodies in different stages of decomposition. The bodies, which have been donated to science, are arranged as victims of various crime scene scenarios to help forensic scientists learn more about human remains. Source

I love this because half of the people are getting amazing, fantasy names and the other half are getting unpronounceable ones.

IT’S OCTOBER!!!
The best deodorant you will ever use Seriously. ¼ teaspoon in each pit and you can sweat your ass off, totally stink-free for like 2 full days. It’s a natural anti-bacterial so those little fuckers won’t multiply and make you smell. Plus it’s cheaper and healthier than any deod you can buy anywhere.
Use equal parts of the following:
-corn starch -baking soda -coconut oil -cocoa butter
With a few drops of whatever essential oil you want, for fragrance. Otherwise it basically just smells like nothing. I use tea tree oil & pine needle oil. Cuz they’re MANLY.
Note - It pretty much turns to liquid if it’s warmer than about 75 degrees. If you want to keep it solid, you can refrigerate it or add a little more corn starch.
This is what I’ve been using for about a year now and it works wonders. Not convinced it works? My fiance is literally the smelliest human being I’ve ever met when he’s been sweating all day. I made him some with tea tree oil and he now smells nice and mint-ish as the end of the day, even if he’s been outside working. Not to mention it’s cheaper, smells better, better for you AND better for the environment to make your own :D
I made this stuff just to try it out, put it in a baby food jar, and I fell in love instantly.
It doesn’t really have a smell so there’s none of that mysterious person following me around feeling that I always get with deodorants (even the “unscented”).
It was cheap to make and it doesn’t stain my clothes in the pit department.
people may laugh at your hippie deodorant, but fools shall mock- and at the end of the day you will still smell awesome. And probably the next day too.
