Ok so this an example of a sort of feminist film. Morvern Callar. Through out the film she is un-dressed countless times. Yet she is not objectified within any of the scenes.

In the example i've chosen, she chooses to flash the fisherman, and although it still feels taboo and voyeuristic, it is her choice, something to make her feel free. (there are many existentialism themes running through this film too)

There is a scene towards the end when Morvan (the main character, female) goes looking for sex knocking on a strangers door in a hotel. Within the scene the male is naked first, rather than the female. Which proves that within the film they are equals, and Morvan does not connote 'to be looked at ness' she is a strong character an active agent rather than the typically portrayed passive female. The scene isn't about Morvan's body, its about her actions. As they have sex, both characters are standing up, again showing they are equals, there is no difference between them. - JD
