your lips rest upon my skin like birds on a branch hiding from rain

you give me shelter

a place to near my body to your own as my love for you warms into the earth to cradle the bulbs of unborn flowers whose blooms will burst with light from the nature of your nurture you feed me sunshine in honey dewdrops slipping from your fingertips

there is a honeybee hive in my heart and when you kiss me I can feel the hum of their wings echo like your hands along the valleys of my body.
