Hello! I've already made a post on my SoMa page (TheSoMaShip) but I wanted to thank the followers that I have already. Thank you! I'm so glad that you guys want to join me on this new journey that I'm starting. I'm hoping to become more interactive with my followers by having contests, maybe follower count prices ( depends on how social you guys are with me XD ) and monthly "art shows". If you guys want.. In your opinion, what would one have to do to be a good part of the SE fandom?

Are you enjoying the series?

Are you acting respectfully to other fans?

If you can honestly answer yes to both questions, then you are a good part of the Soul Eater fandom.

If doesn’t matter how much you enjoy the series: if you enjoy it just a little bit, then you are a fan. Even if you criticize it, tear it apart, want to rip a volume in half because of something annoying, that is all fine—because you can enjoy something and still criticize it, so long as you can back up your complaints with legitimate evidence, are not insulting other persons in debate, and not spamming a tag (making a complaint once is sometimes enough).

If does not matter what you do after it. It is easy to beat yourself up if you think you are inadequate. “I can’t draw like other people.” Doesn’t matter—you are still a fan. “I don’t cosplay.” Doesn’t matter—you are still a fan. “My fan fiction isn’t any good.” Doesn’t matter—you are still a fan. “I don’t post enough about the series!” Doesn’t matter–you are still a fan. Being a participant in a fandom is not only about making yourself visible; it is also about enjoying what you see your peers are doing, and sometimes that’s enough.

Being a fan is about your experience enjoying something: it can be with other people, but it doesn’t have to be. If the manga, the anime, and anything else about Soul Eater is still enjoyable for you, then you are a fan.
