((Hope you don't mind me dropping a new starter. It's just in my head and I'd like to RP it if you wouldn't mind~)) Today was a designated day during which Kaitlyn and Ali were meant to hang out. It was Ali's turn to pick the place, and she had asked Kaitlyn to come pick her up (because of various mishaps), and was supposed to be waiting in front of the bunker, but instead of Ali, the only one there was a 16 year old with pink hair... And hiding in thee trees for some reason.

A door appeared in the middle of nowhere and out jumped Kaitlyn, excited as always to hang with her best friend. “Alright, Ali-cat, so what was that about-?” The shifter’s voice fell silent as she looked around perplexed. “Ali?” She pulls out a paper with instructions she had written to herself “Did I get the wrong location?” She had detected someone else nearby, but didn’t really pay any attention to them.

She wasn’t really sure what to make of it, and ended up following Kaitlyn in the trees, to see Kaitlyn pounding a door, cursing and demanding loudly. Aki rolled her eyes. Very…. Unrestrained. It was somewhat amusing to watch, but mostly…. Aki thought that such a being really ought to have better control.

Castiel furrowed his brow. “You don’t need to scream. Or potentially damage the door.” He told her. “What do you mean, not herself?” He asked. “Were you speaking to one of her alternates?” He questioned. It was a legitimate possibility, considering Ali interacted with her alternate selves with surprising frequency, and they generally looked similar. They could probably pass as one another, provided they changed a few things like hair color.

Control? What’s that? All Kaitlyn knew was panic and mayhem. She takes a breath. “Ali somehow reverted to a previous incarnation.” While she did consider the possibility that this was an alternate she had unfortunately altered and misread her soul, there were things not adding up that made that possibility hard to believe. “I know it aint some random alternate because the real Aki is where she should be!” Well…the only other Aki she was aware of that was. Timelines and alternate realities are confusing. “Castiel, I can read souls…..Something has been altered, I’m sure of it….”

Without knowing the language, unfortunately, Aki wasn’t really able to make out much. Except perhaps a name that came up...?

“A previous incarnation?” Castiel repeated. He seemed to be in thought. “I believe I recall her mentioning something like that.” He knew Ali to be generally tight-lipped, and about as prone to talking as either of the Winchester brothers, potentially even worse at times. “We can resolve this issue likely. Or it may resolve itself.” He said. “She seems to get into trouble whenever we aren’t looking, but always makes her way back somehow.” He reasoned.

Kaitlyn didn’t really care for “proper” honorifics or formal tones in any language, even in Shadow tongue. Of course she would start out polite, usually, but then would always switch to the most informal speech as possible. Not to intentionally disrespect really, rather she just didn’t give a fuck about authority ranks and titles- even in regards to herself.

“Ah, she might’ve gotten held up by demons or something. Sure she is alright though. Thanks anyway, Dragon-kiddo” Kaitlyn accepted that vague answer as it was helping her solve this puzzling situation. It wasn’t confirmation yet, but it was steering her suspicions in a certain direction she didn’t like. However even if it was confirmed, why did this happen? She needed more answers. “It’s complicated, but this friend used to belong in another world, similar to yours I suspect since you both have chakra. Her soul is also really similar to yours, but she is definitely way older than you. She would probably be more helpful in getting you back home with her knowledge.” Kaitlyn then shrugs and tilts her head at Aki once she saw her, well…her illusion at least. “But I understand if you are hesitant to trust me. I am a strange ancient creature with phenomenal cosmic powers after all. Who would blame you for being weary?”

She turned to walk towards the bunker but stopped as her stomach grumbled loudly. “Before we do that, how about a quick lunch break?” She gives a friendly smile “I’ll pay for anything you want.”

Demons? Aki was aware that some shinobi had earned “demon” monikers, and there was of course, the Tailed Beasts, all christened as demons. But, somehow… Aki felt that this being was referring to something else. She wasn’t sure exactly what it was. Regardless, Aki’s gaze turned the slightest bit stormy at the too-familiar language that this being, Kaitlyn, was using. “Stop being so familiar, stranger.” She said sharply, without raising her voice.

“She was a kunoichi?” Aki inquired. If this friend of her’s was a kunoichi, she certainly could help, Aki imagined. Then she narrowed her eyes. An ancient creature with incredible power? It would certainly match from what Aki was getting off of this entity… Though it was a little hard to read, as it felt like there was more to her than just… It was unlike Aki had ever seen before. She didn’t let her guard down. She thought the words were meant to be a subtle guilt trip, meant to trick her into lowering her guard.

Regarding the food… Would it be poisoned? Aki eyed Kaitlyn. “… I will make my own arrangements. I will be back in 210 minutes.” She told her, before seemingly disappearing… Though, really she’d just moved fast enough to be practically teleporting to the naked eye of a civilian.

“Oh….Accept my apologies……kiddo”

“Yes, she was. A very unique one too as she could sense souls. Was powerful at a young age….even more powerful now. Nowhere near my strength, but still an amazing human being.” Kaitlyn answers more properly.

Kaitlyn shrugs watching them dash around at high speeds. She pulls out some instant ramen and a few pudding snacks she had planned to share with Ali later today. Honestly, she didn’t even need to go into the bunker. She figured Ali wasn’t in there. Didn’t sense her in there, nor was Ali answering her phone, plus…Kaitlyn was already starting to put two and two together. Wasn’t hard given how souls work. “Ugh….I really hope I’m not messing up your personality by interacting with your younger self….” Unfortunately, she didn’t have a solution in mind to fix this yet. She needed more answers.

Aki still hadn’t looked particularly mollified. “In case you didn’t know, it’s not a stranger’s place to call me ‘kiddo’.” She corrected in a cool tone. Some of the more laid-back or crass of her superiors might refer to her as such, or brat… But those were her superiors. Her fellow shinobi. She had no idea if this being was trustworthy, and her power set Aki on edge. She did not trust this Kaitlyn.

The kunoichi Kaitlyn described sounded like she had eerily similar abilities to Aki. Aki knew her kekkei genkai came courtesy of her heritage with the Tamashi clan. As far as she knew, her family had been the only descendants with the ability, however… Were there more? Was this person one of them?

Regardless… Aki did eventually return 3 and a half hours later as she had promised. She’d given herself a lot of time to explore and investigate procuring some food. She had swiftly realized that she would have troubles navigating her way through and procuring food… As well as having the incorrect currency and not knowing how to exchange it. She fortunately had some rations on her… And she might’ve eaten a squirrel. She was used to making do with little.

When she returned, she still had her disguise up and was looking at Kaitlyn with a blank, yet piercing expression. “Where is this friend of your’s?” She asked sharply.

With the time given, Kaitlyn had considered contacting Ali’s other buddies here… but she wasn’t sure if they would believe her anyway. She also felt they didn’t trust her either…Honestly she was certain the most they would do is point out ‘we never seen this before’ and ‘Can’t you just use just use your infinite magic? She wanted me to ask you these things.” She slowly stuffs the photo in her pocket “….First, what do you remember before you were brought here? Ran into anything sinister looking that knocked you out or anything like that? I heard of a lunatic wearing a tengu mask likes to pull tricks on others, including placing them in other worlds and illusions….maybe even de-aging them ” Regardless if Aki answered or not, she was going to do something risky. Not deadly risky, but experimental risky. ….The deadly risky will be a last resort.

Aki already neutral expression tightened. Her soul had been damaged? She’d never really seen anything like that. Still… Was it possible? Aki had never tried to do anything like that, but… She was wary of further experimenting with her kekkei genkai. Besides, she was too busy to dabble in such things. She only honed her current skills, to sharpen the blade to a fine point, so to speak.

She pretends to receive a message from her friend via bird delivery. “Hmm… Okay, I think I know how to get you back home now with her instructions.” She chants something, makes a single hand sign, and summons several types of doors. “Just pick a door. They all should take you back somewhere in your homeland. I would suggest the red one, but you don’t like anything I suggest anyway. I’ll respect your choice regardless, bud.” Truth was, neither of those doors were portals but rather devices that modified age in some way. She wasn’t sure if aging Aki would just make her older with same memories or would somehow bring Ali back. This was all experimental. …She hoped to figure out something soon or find help… or else she might have to kill her.

The air around Aki seemed to shift, and so did the image of her. The illusion she’d been keeping up melted away, as she seemed to grow older. Though, not as Kaitlyn would’ve hoped. Instead, it only seemed to age her into an adult, in her early 20s, only a little bit older than Ali’s physical age. Aki blinked, before she whipped around to glare at Kaitlyn, still guarded… But something seemed a little bit different than how the younger, teenaged Aki looked at Kaitlyn.

“…. Kaitlyn?” She said, her voice kept level. “Where is this?” It seemed that Aki had retained some memories of the past hour, but it also deleted several memories, as she seemed disoriented again.

“Oh dear, that…I should’ve expected this…. Could’ve gone worse….” Kaitlyn mumbles and cringes at what she did to this girl “u-uh future home, Dragon-ma'am? Current residence ya chose minutes ago…”

The universe wasn’t going to be happy about this if it isn’t fixed soon. “Just…sit there or stalk someone. I-I need to… Uh…” She nervously took a peek at Aki’s soul. While doing so, she starts to summon a sickle and gun behind her back. …Then an idea popped in her head and she stops the process. “I need help…lot’s of help…” She knocks at the bunker’s door in a desperate panic.

Kaitlyn felt the same tactic with the aging devices wasn’t going to work, she needed to get help…even if she didn’t like it because of pride. She didn’t care where or who, if Winchester, Dragon, altKaitlyn, or Chuck! She needed help before she was forced to do her duty when it came to anomalies.

“What have you done?” Aki asked sharply, picking up the mumbling, and her suspicion suddenly spiking once more. She narrowed her eyes. “Would you mind clarifying, if it suits you?” She asked, sarcasm dripping from her voice like acid. She didn’t recognize this place. She didn’t choose it. She didn’t even really remember what had happened…? Her memory was annoyingly hazy.

The door would open a crack, revealing a messy head of raven-black hair, and a pair of blue eyes. Perhaps Kaitlyn would recognize him as Castiel, one of Ali’s friends. He squinted. “Kaitlyn. Why are you banging at the door?”

“Sorry! N-no fight! No fight! Need to get help! Something went wrong. None of this is right!” Kaitlyn was walking in circles while getting more and more frustrated. She practically flees from Aki in a full on sprint towards the bunker.

“ANSWER! ANSWER! ANSWER YA FUCKERS!” She screamed getting impatient, even starting to pound harder on the door. She might’ve left a dent in the process. Aki still hadn’t looked particularly mollified. “In case you didn’t know, it’s not a stranger’s place to call me ‘kiddo’.” She corrected in a cool tone. Some of the more laid-back or crass of her superiors might refer to her as such, or brat… But those were her superiors. Her fellow shinobi. She had no idea if this being was trustworthy, and her power set Aki on edge. She did not trust this Kaitlyn.

The kunoichi Kaitlyn described sounded like she had eerily similar abilities to Aki. Aki knew her kekkei genkai came courtesy of her heritage with the Tamashi clan. As far as she knew, her family had been the only descendants with the ability, however… Were there more? Was this person one of them?

Regardless… Aki did eventually return 3 and a half hours later as she had promised. She’d given herself a lot of time to explore and investigate procuring some food. She had swiftly realized that she would have troubles navigating her way through and procuring food… As well as having the incorrect currency and not knowing how to exchange it. She fortunately had some rations on her… And she might’ve eaten a squirrel. She was used to making do with little.

When she returned, she still had her disguise up and was looking at Kaitlyn with a blank, yet piercing expression. “Where is this friend of your’s?” She asked sharply.

With the time given, Kaitlyn had considered contacting Ali’s other buddies here… but she wasn’t sure if they would believe her anyway. She also felt they didn’t trust her either…Honestly she was certain the most they would do is point out ‘we never seen this before’ and ‘Can’t you just use just use your infinite magic? You dealt with past incarnations before. Try something!’

They all should take you back somewhere in your homeland. I would suggest the red one, but you don’t like anything I suggest anyway. I’ll respect your choice regardless, bud.” Truth was, neither of those doors were portals but rather devices that modified age in some way. She wasn’t sure if aging Aki would just make her older with same memories or would somehow bring Ali back. This was all experimental. …She hoped to figure out something soon or find help… or else she might have to kill her.

Aki thought that Kaitlyn’s eyes seemed to gloss over the message a little too quickly... She narrowed her eyes. Still, did she have a choice? She stiffened, and suddenly had a kunai in her hand when the doors suddenly appeared. She forced herself to relax, and put her hands down by her sides, though she didn’t put the kunai away. She eyed Kaitlyn warily, but did as Kaitlyn suggested, and opened the red door.

The air around Aki seemed to shift, and so did the image of her. The illusion she’d been keeping up melted away, as she seemed to grow older. Though, not as Kaitlyn would’ve hoped. Instead, it only seemed to age her into an adult, in her early 20s, only a little bit older than Ali’s physical age. Aki blinked, before she whipped around to glare at Kaitlyn, still guarded... But something seemed a little bit different than how the younger, teenaged Aki looked at Kaitlyn.

“.... Kaitlyn?” She said, her voice kept level. “Where is this?” It seemed that Aki had retained some memories of the past hour, but it also deleted several memories, as she seemed disoriented again.

I decided to re-add Rina to the list of active Dragons I will roleplay. I’ve done a lot more thinking on her, and I think her character is better this time around, with a more solid backstory than last time.

And hiding in thee trees for some reason.

A door appeared in the middle of nowhere and out jumped Kaitlyn, excited as always to hang with her best friend. “Alright, Ali-cat, so what was that about-?” The shifter’s voice fell silent as she looked around perplexed. “Ali?” She pulls out a paper with instructions she had written to herself “Did I get the wrong location?” She had detected someone else nearby, but didn’t really pay any attention to them.

Kaitlyn didn’t really care for “proper” honorifics or formal tones in any language, even in Shadow tongue. Of course she would start out polite, usually, but then would always switch to the most informal speech as possible. Not to intentionally disrespect really, rather she just didn’t give a fuck about authority ranks and titles- even in regards to herself.

“Ah, she might’ve gotten held up by demons or something. Sure she is alright though. Aki stared down from where she was perched high on a tree branch. It had been difficult trying to find a sturdy enough branch to hold her weight. These trees in general seemed to be smaller and more flimsy than the forests of her home. She wasn’t sure who that was down there, but they seemed powerful. Something Aki had never encountered before. She held a kunai in her hand, wary of the figure down there. She appeared humanoid… But her appearance was strange. A henge? Or perhaps a kekkei genkai. Aki couldn’t be sure. Still… Aki wasn’t sure how to get home. She narrowed her eyes.

Did this being bring her here? If so, could she force the entity to bring her back home. Aki gritted her teeth. Whatever it was, it was giving her a nasty headache.

No, upon further inspection, the instructions were indeed followed accurately. Sighing, Kaitlyn was getting annoyed by the presence she felt lingering “…If you are going to attack me, you might as well get it over with, kid. I rather not babysit right now, but eh…I have nothing important to do yet.” She didn’t get headaches like they did when sensing souls or magic, but this teen’s soul tasted funny and familiar…. Kaitlyn couldn’t quite put her finger on it.

Aki didn’t know what the being was saying. It sounded like gibberish to her. It wasn’t Japanese, but Aki didn’t think it was just random sounds strung together either… Even if it did sort of sound like it. But, Aki knew enough to realize that her presence had been noticed. She was able to make out the minute signs that the entity’s attention was turned in Aki’s direction.

“Who are you?” Aki called down, not coming out, despite the full awareness that she was exposed.

You…called are?” She only knew limited Japanese and might’ve even used the wrong gender form of words or improper titles. (Like using masculine versions of introduction and speaking with inconsistent levels of respect) So this was going to be rough. There was a few ways for her to learn a language quickly, but uhh…lip locking this stranger would be too awkward and crushing her head to activate the hidden knowledge part of her brain only works if the person kept speaking and repeating phrases.

Unfortunately, Aki didn’t have her mask on her right now. She closed her eyes, focusing all her capabilities on being discreet as possible, and her appearance gently melted away for a henge. She turned her pink hair a dark brown, and her green eyes blue. As well as changing a few features of her face and making herself slightly shorter. She didn’t want to run the risk of being recognized.

“You can call me Dragon.” She said, giving out her ANBU codename. It was a good default, as no one had as of yet connected the Dragon mask to her. Well, that she was aware of.

“…foreign…me” Kaitlyn huffs softly knowing it was true. If only they were speaking German or Latin instead…. “Dragon…” She repeated that to herself as it made her think of the other ‘Dragons’ she had met. All their souls tasted funny to her….but she sorta liked it too. Sometimes.

Kaitlyn tries really hard to ask Aki why she was here. “Dragon…you what…want? …Why…tree? Where parents? Er…lost?”

A foreigner. Aki huffed. That seemed painfully obvious enough. Clearly, they were not from the same place. For a great many reasons, but the inability to speak Japanese better than a baby was a glaring factor.

Aki felt a bit like her insides were freezing up a bit, she stiffened up, but was still ready to move if need be. “I’m not where I’m meant to be, yes.” She wasn’t going to answer obvious and stupid questions, nor was she going to be divulging personal information to this stranger. But… She supposed her answer was vague enough that it should be moderately safe to share…

“Damn, this is like talking to Ali when I had first met her. Pulling teeth to get answers….” Kaitlyn muttered in English before switching to Japanese again “Knew it….Your soul…gave it away. You far from home indeed. …Please, hold on a minute….”

Kaitlyn sighs and snaps her fingers to summon a small wolf dragon before sending it off at warp speed with a letter. It came back with a dictionary with various languages, she presses her hand against it to gain a few new words with her magic. Her Japanese would be clearer now…but still rusty here and there grammar wise…and very informal. “Yo, Dragon! Have seen adult woman with bloody red hair and green eyes? She friend. She’s been in a similar situation to you. She might help.” Though something inside Kaitlyn was gnawing at her, her gut was trying to tell her something important… something she didn’t want to believe without proof. She kept staring at this stranger like she was solving an upside down inverted puzzle… something was off more than just the usual out of place person. Why was this soul familiar yet not?… hmm…

Aki froze, sorta. As much as a ninja could be allowed to freeze up, when they’d been in the business as long as she had. She’d never met anyone else who could apparently sense souls like she could... She watched.

Apparently, this person was a summoner, though she did it strangely. No hand seals. Well, that was less surprising. Hand seals could be cut if you had the appropriate level of chakra control. Though, generally people needed to use at least one. Well, there were a few jutsu that needed no hand seals, even at the start... But not many.

The entity now had a book... It seemed to improve her Japanese somewhat. It was ridiculously informal, which was strange... As she didn’t think the entity knew Aki’s age, and they were strangers. Aki tried to think of anyone who matched that description... Not many, honestly. Bloody red hair? That sounded like an Uzumaki. But Aki couldn’t think of any with that description.

“I don’t know anyone by that description.” She said carefully. She narrowed her eyes. “Similar situation?” If this person described could be of assistance, but was also friends with this... Being... Maybe she should endear herself to the being. Be friendly, but also don’t get killed. It was at this point that Aki, with the illusion of her altered appearance holding up, stepped out, and dropped to a lower tree branch. Now, she would be in plain sight for the being, but Aki still had her guard up.

It was Ali's turn to pick the place, and she had asked Kaitlyn to come pick her up (because of various mishaps), and was supposed to be waiting in front of the bunker, but instead of Ali, the only one there was a 16 year old with pink hair... And hiding in thee trees for some reason.

A door appeared in the middle of nowhere and out jumped Kaitlyn, excited as always to hang with her best friend. “Alright, Ali-cat, so what was that about-?” The shifter’s voice fell silent as she looked around perplexed. “Ali?” She pulls out a paper with instructions she had written to herself “Did I get the wrong location?” She had detected someone else nearby, but didn’t really pay any attention to them.

Aki stared down from where she was perched high on a tree branch. It had been difficult trying to find a sturdy enough branch to hold her weight. These trees in general seemed to be smaller and more flimsy than the forests of her home. She wasn’t sure who that was down there, but they seemed powerful. Something Aki had never encountered before. She held a kunai in her hand, wary of the figure down there. She appeared humanoid… But her appearance was strange. A henge? Or perhaps a kekkei genkai. Aki couldn’t be sure. Still… Aki wasn’t sure how to get home. She narrowed her eyes.

Did this being bring her here? If so, could she force the entity to bring her back home. Aki gritted her teeth. Whatever it was, it was giving her a nasty headache.

No, upon further inspection, the instructions were indeed followed accurately. Sighing, Kaitlyn was getting annoyed by the presence she felt lingering “…If you are going to attack me, you might as well get it over with, kid. I rather not babysit right now, but eh…I have nothing important to do yet.” She didn’t get headaches like they did when sensing souls or magic, but this teen’s soul tasted funny and familiar…. Kaitlyn couldn’t quite put her finger on it.

Aki didn’t know what the being was saying. It sounded like gibberish to her. It wasn’t Japanese, but Aki didn’t think it was just random sounds strung together either… Even if it did sort of sound like it. But, Aki knew enough to realize that her presence had been noticed. She was able to make out the minute signs that the entity’s attention was turned in Aki’s direction.

“Who are you?” Aki called down, not coming out, despite the full awareness that she was exposed.

Kaitlyn didn’t expect to hear a response in a foreign language. She responds back in very VERY basic Japanese…with poor grammar. “I…Kaitlyn. You…called are?” She only knew limited Japanese and might’ve even used the wrong gender form of words or improper titles. (Like using masculine versions of introduction and speaking with inconsistent levels of respect) So this was going to be rough. There was a few ways for her to learn a language quickly, but uhh…lip locking this stranger would be too awkward and crushing her head to activate the hidden knowledge part of her brain only works if the person kept speaking and repeating phrases.
