Unfortunately, I've got nothing. These were in use almost right from the get go, and most of the earliest makers of pony sfm probably thought nothing of crediting the original modeler. Whoever is responsible (likely someone on deviantart who never thought their creations would spread this far) is probably the most influential artist in the fandom, as their design became the base for every sfm pony going forward for fifteen years now.
I was able to find a snapshot of the deleted account credited in the above link on wayback machine in 2012 (the time the model linked above was uploaded) that actually had a surprising amount on the acct.
I was able to get into the gallery of it and find "[Download] Pony Male Model", and while the model itself wasn't cached, the description and comments were.

Which says they were made in maya and zbrush, and credits another user (Mircea Kitsune) with making rigged versions for blender. The blendswap link to download the rigged blender versions is very broken, but taking it back to the wayback machine we do get a comment by MirceaKitsune saying her version was just an updated posable/eye posable version of Cheerilee's version here:

which DOES credit back to kp-shadowsquirrel's deviantart :D so we know it was probably kp-shadowsquirrel who made the original models from this set that were so prevelant around 2012 and then edited/turned into bases eventually used for other ponies/other creations.
