It was intentional of course, him tripping the thief, but he wasn’t about to state as much—especially since he had just stole back what they had initially stole from another during the process. “Ah, sorry about that! ... Need a hand?” With a glare, the thief quickly slaps his extended hand away, no sooner do they continue to dart off down the street.
“Well... they’re in for a surprise... when they’ve learned they’ve lost their loot. Now, to find the owner...”

Lucifer was attentive, but it depending on the subject at hand. He focused his attention to Wei Wuxian, slight bewilderment to his stare. Perhaps the topic was confusing for some more-so than others. After all, from what Lucifer knew, Skydweller’s and people alike have hearts. There was a disconnect from himself and others, that was obvious enough. A primarch was built different, but Lucifer knew too well he was capable of feeling. The guilt stuck like tar in the pit of his stomach, among a plethora of other things. He studied Wei Wuxian for a moment. “Ah… good looking people.” He couldn’t say he payed so much attention to any physical aspects of people. He was curious though. To deter the conversation slightly, Lucifer asked: “I suppose physical qualities are a detail worth thinking about. What is your… preference?”
“I see.” Perhaps more should be said. “I hope the time comes for you. You never know what opportunities you’ll run into. Especially with where we are right now.”
“Ah, well... I’m fine with not getting married! In fact, I’d prefer not to!!” There is some truth to his words. The concept of him getting married was one that rarely crossed his mind; there was also the crucial fact of him not liking anyone here—romantically anyway. Despite his flirtatious tendencies, both his heart & mind were clouded by someone far from reach now and he knew it would remain that way for a long time. So while he appreciated Lucifer’s uplifting words, he couldn’t quite agree with them. Recalling his earlier question, Wei Wuxian perks up to answer it in hopes that it’ll change the topic indefinitely. Preference was something he never gave much thought. Having now been asked however, the answer comes to him rather quickly. They would have to be a person who was kind to him and others of course, someone who was attentive to him and trusts his decisions. Someone who would always be there for him. Yet as expected, he doesn’t respond with that remark.
“What if I said you’re my type?” In reality, he knew next to nothing about the man before him. In the end, he only says as much in order to not answer truthfully—that and he was genuinely curious on how he’d react.

“en,” he says with a nod, “i know him and have heard of his troubles.” three failed dates and then an eternal ban. truly an enigma, one he intends to figure out, but… then…
“it doesn’t sound fine,” he states, like it’s a matter of fact. he does not know their troubles, but he has figured this much out.
hesitant, because he’s still unfamiliar, he asks, “why… does he want to kill you?”
“Hm, hm... that’s a shame. ... If I had to guess I’d say it’s because he’s picky... no, that’s the only thing it can be, I’m sure...” That last part was more so directed to himself than the other, though those set of words had resounded over his lips just as loud as the rest.
“Oh! Well... you’ve said you met him, right? He just doesn’t like me very much, that’s all!” Jiang Cheng likely didn’t want the specifics of their past shared, and for once, Wei Wuxian was inclined to agree. It was better this way.

Ah, so that was it. Lucifer had thought about such a subject before — the word love springing to mind. He recalled one phrase faintly. Such words would fall from his own lips too. The heart is a mass of contradictions. The subject was foreign, but not impossible. Lucifer was stuck on what to say. A marriage to celebrate such a feeling was something he did feel joy with. To see smiles on faces, although for the most part indifferent, Lucifer knew if it were someone close to him, he’d want to share in their happiness. But was that too selfish of a thought, for someone who had died? Lucifer lingered in silence for a moment. “Ah… I’m happy for them, too.” He spoke quietly.
Had he ever felt such a feeling? How could Lucifer tell, when he didn’t know what it was. “….No,” he said simply. It wasn’t the same, was it? Or, to put what had been felt into words seemed a stretch beyond this, something different, yet still indescribable and overwhelming. He shoved it aside for the sake of what he felt he owed. “I don’t think so. Have you?”
His index finger quickly moves to tap the screen of his phone in order to pause the video in question to stop playing, though it takes more than a few awkward attempts to finally do so. Once done, his attentions promptly shift towards examining Lucifer’s expression, or rather, any subtle changes to it thereafter. His scrutiny grows more focused as he finally speaks up to answer his prior question, yet what he’s met with is disappointment. Lucifer’s expression remained ever the same, as did the tone of his voice—nothing indicated that what he answered with was a lie. There was that slight delay with his response, but that didn’t necessarily mean he had hidden the truth from him. “Hm... I see, I see... hm? Ah—” Wei Wuxian’s earlier dismay increases tenfold, and as unfortunate as it was, he’s quite positive it shows across his own features for a split moment.
“Nope! Can’t say that I have! I’ve definitely met a lot of good looking people in my lifetime, but no one I’d want to marry!!”

It would seem that Jiang Cheng’s inability to court has even reached the ears of those dwelling here. “Ah, so you know him? Or may be you’ve just heard of his troubles with romance? Ahahah! It’s fine, it’s fine! He’d kill me even if I didn’t ask! Besides... I’m sure I can piece it together without his help!”

Full of intrigue, Lucifer leaned forward, his eyes focused on the screen. For a few moments, he stayed completely silent and concentrated. “Hmm…..” How interesting. There was a lot of white. A crowd of people. Flowers. Music. It looked like some sort of celebration. It made him smile to watch. “Ah… well, everyone looks happy. I suppose this is a thing that happens often. I can see why.” His sights were set on the couple at the front. “And those two… everyone is praising them?”
Cultural differences aside, the celebration aspect remained similar to what he was used to. Though if he were honest, the use of white was completely lost to him; fortunately, it seemed that his confusion regarding that wasn’t one shared by Lucifer. “... Oh, right! The couple! They must be the two getting married since everyone is looking at them! You see, weddings are supposed to be a celebration of two people’s love for one another!” A mischievous thought then comes to mind, and he truly couldn’t help himself from asking.
“Say, have you ever felt that way about someone? Hm?”

“At least... I think I can show you...? I’ve never actually checked to see if...” There he goes, trailing off as he slowly begins to tap away on his phone. “Ah! People have put them on here! Right, right... hm... this one looks good!” After finding a rather detailed video of the topic in question, he quickly flips over the device so that it’s screen now faces Lucifer. “See!”
