tahiridv:
“You think you’re glad to hear my voice?” Tahiri almost laughed at that statement, heart wrenching. She had tried so hard to get him back, she had been so desperate and now… Now he was back. They were together and… And she could cry. She was crying. This was everything she had dreamed of for so long, to have him back in her arms. Was this some kind of dark side of the force again? She wanted to think this was real but some part of her mind just pushed her towards believing that this was another one of Caedus’ tricks, that this was an illusion and he wasn’t really there.
But kriff, this didn’t feel like it. This felt like reality and she had to believe it was actually happening, that she was with him. At that moment she remembered her last words to him, how she had told him their kiss had to wait until he made it back to base… Why had she said that. Pulling away she knew she had to do it, even if it wasn’t real she had to make sure that Anakin knew she loved him, so she reached up and pulled him down into a kiss.
It was clear that her question didn’t even require an answer - of course he was. Anakin remembered the very moment that he realized he’d never get to hear it again. Yet here he was, here they were, and kriff did the galaxy have a real strange way of working things out somehow. He didn’t even have the energy to question it anymore - Tahiri was in his arms, and he would much rather just focus on that instead of anything else.
She seemed to be thinking of something, remembering something...before he could read her expression, she was pulling him even closer, and the next thing he felt was the soft pressure of her lips on his. His entire being shivered from the contact, feeling himself grow even more emotional. Their kiss. They finally got their kiss. But this wasn’t like their first - there was more passion, less awkward shyness. No second guessing where they stood. His hands moved to grip her waist a bit tighter as he deepened the kiss without hesitation, years of pent up emotions exploding between them. Finally he broke away just enough to rest his forehead against hers, eyes locked on her. “I thought of you right up to the end,” Anakin whispered against her lips, attempting to hold her closer than even truly possible. “You gave me that strength, you know. You.”
