I just tried to hunt down a package that doesn't have live tracking. The tracking link updates like every hour or so. Yes, it was as dumb as it sounds. No, I did not manage to find the delivery van lol. Had a nice lunch bike ride around the neighbourhood though!
It's a Vinted package addressed to a parcel locker, delivery has failed twice already and I am pretty sure they'll send it back if it fails one more time. I think the parcel locker is full and apparently they won't forward it somewhere else???
I'm in a weird headspace these days. I thought it was the heat getting to me, but it's cooled down and I still feel off. I feel like I'm constantly on the verge of tears. The anniversary of my dad's death is coming up, and I always go a bit crazy around that day. I think I thought I wasn't going to this year because it started later than it did in the past few years. Maybe I'm still going crazy, but less intensely.
I also had my blood drawn this morning, and having a dodgy blood test result when I was 16 was what triggered my first anxiety attack, so I'm weird about that too.
The other day I double checked what year my dad died. One of the things my therapist said to me that has stayed with me most is that time isn't linear, or hadn't been linear for me. I subsequently tried to explain Jeremy Bearimy to him lol.
Oh my GOD, I had my ears newly pierced a few weeks ago and exchanged the earrings yesterday. The last time I had them pierced was 16 years ago with one of those guns, so I never had proper piercings before. The time it took me to unscrew the fucking flatback piercing! I almost ripped my ear off.
The piercer said to come back for a checkup after six weeks, and I'm normally very rule-abiding, but with this I couldn't be arsed. Now I know why they tell you to come back!!!
Removed my other two earlobe piercings yesterday, or rather attempted to remove them. In the end my boyfriend just cut off the head with a pair of pliers!!! Absolute scenes.
I took a pair of trousers to the tailor because they were too long. Just picked them up and the legs aren't the same length now! How does that even happened to a professional? Annoyed that I have to go back now.
Having the ultimate People With Tits experience this morning: just measured my bra size (because like I do every once in a while, I suddenly hate all my bras) and according to https://www.abrathatfits.org/calculator I'm a 70F. I have not been buying 70F bras. I'm pretty sure 70F is not going to fit. But I will try!

I'm on holiday in Tuscany and I don't think I've ever been to a place with so many US American tourists. They're everywhere! We were sitting next to an American couple in a restaurant today and the guy was telling the waitress their pizza was the best he'd ever had in 53 years of his life. My boyfriend and I were already giving each other looks because it was so stereotypically American. Little did we know, because after that, he was on the phone for ten minutes detailing his trip... to his travel agent! How do I know this, you ask? Well, he eventually handed the phone over to his wife and started speaking to us!!! My little German mind was blown lol. The interaction ended with him saying my boyfriend needed to practice his English, because I was carrying the conversation on our side. Poor dude was just busy eating.
Got an email from HR today: Congratulations on your pregnancy, please send me your maternity record so I can approve your parental leave.
I am not pregnant. My HR lady was very sorry, someone had the same last name. I work at a huge university, 10.000 employees… surely same last name is a common occurrence? 😂
i think the luckiest moment of my life - at least, the luckiest moment i'm aware of & can remember - was when i poured HOURS of wrist-grinding labor into nålbinding baby socks with no pattern & vague measurements pirated off a machine-made baby sock, and they turned out weirdly long and skinny. and then the baby was born with such weirdly long and skinny feet that the only socks that fit him were the ones i made. what a very specific little lottery to win.
I've been reading up on tattoos and summer isn't an ideal time to get one... could have guessed! If I manage to get an appointment in the beginning of July, that'll leave eight weeks before my vacation where I want to swim, which is fine according to ~my sources~. One thing that seems tricky is avoiding sweat – I work out a lot and wouldn't want to stop for a longer period of time. That's a year round problem though. I want to get my arm tattooed, so it's not an area where I would sweat excessively. Any advice?
I recently made a new Instagram account specifically for following tattoo artists. I’ve thought about getting a tattoo for ages, and I’ve just messaged a local artist about one of her flashes! I’m a bit scared. Should I really do it? What if I end up hating it? Etc.

I bought a used dressing gown from a German classified ads website. I don't know if it's a German thing, but a lot of the time, people will use Paypal friends to pay for these things instead of using the website's payment system (same thing on Vinted). Anyway, the person selling it gave me a Russian mail address to send the money to, so I was a bit like hmm 🤔 But they seemed legit, we had written back and forth a bit, and it was only 10 euros, so I just sent it. Now when you send money on Paypal using an email address, it'll confirm the transfer saying something like "we'll let [name] know you sent it", and the name was completely different from the email address! So now I'm really curious to see if I'll get a new dressing gown or not lol.
The seller texted me to say they've posted the package! It's all highly sus, but there's no way they'd keep texting me if it were scam, right?
There's a mystery package for me at the post office... to be picked up from 14.30 CEST today... stay tuned!!
We’ve got a dressing gown!!! Can’t believe the Russian email address was legit hahaha.
