“Hey you’re home. I figured you’d beat us,” you announced to your husband Charlie Swan as you came into the house with two grocery bags in hand.

Charlie sprung up from his spot on the couch to meet you at the door, already out of uniform and in his normal clothes. “Need any help?”

“No, thank you baby I got it,” you assured, giving him a quick kiss hello. “Emmy, c’mon honey we can look at the squirrels some other time,” you said, looking back at your four year old daughter.

Just before you had opened the house door, Emmy had spotted a squirrel running up the front tree. Thankfully she didn’t fight you on this and willingly scurried in from the porch as a cold autumn breeze began to blow about.

“Daddy!” she exclaimed, lunging into his arms for a lifted hug.

Charlie chuckled and kissed her cheek. “Where have you been missy?”

“I forgot we needed whipped cream for our dessert sundaes I promised yesterday up until like an hour ago,” you answered for Emmy as you removed her velcro shoes and set them down on the shelf by the door.

“You know I don’t like y’all going to the store so late in the day, I could have picked it up,” Charlie reminded.

“I know, I’m sorry, but I didn’t want to bother in case you were busy. The important thing is we’re here, we’re safe and I have dinner going in the slow cooker so let me go put this whip cream in the fridge and check on that. Em, why don’t you show daddy what you got.”

Charlie put Emmy down where instantly she remembered what had had her so amused before she had noticed the squirrel and saw her dad.

“I got ‘alloween stickers!” she exclaimed, holding up a stack of small sticker sheets she made you open for her in the parking lot of the store and had been holding and gazing at the whole car ride home.

“Wow. That’s a lot of stickers darlin’,” Charlie commented as enthusiastically as his voice allowed, helping her slip off her rain jacket and setting it aside.

“You wan’ one?” she questioned, shifting adorably from one foot to the other.

“Hit me with it,” Charlie replied, hand fisted down for her to place one at.

She picked the first sticker she laid her eyes on, which happened to be a black kitty cat with a witch hat, and stuck it straight on top of his hand.

Albeit upside down from his point of view, Charlie brought it up close to his face to inspect it then nodded. “That’s a good one,” he said, holding it back down towards her for her to admire some more.

She beamed at his compliment and pet the sticker lightly with her little fingers then looked back to her sticker sheets; he smiled at the gentle gesture and walked back over to his spot on the couch from before. Emmy followed and leaned her hip against the couch cushion.

“You wan’ more daddy?” she asked, waving the sticker sheets before him.

Charlie sighed. “Why not, I got a whole arm that could use a little decoratin’,” he said, pulling up the sleeve of his flannel to expose the skin.

A quiet gasp escaped her lips in excitement and quickly, she got to work slapping on the sticky little designs at random.

“Looks like someone is getting into the festive spirit,” you commented, coming into the living room after a few minutes.

“Mama, look, it’s pretty!” Emmy announced, delighted at her work.

“So pretty, but let’s take a break from the stickers and get washed up for dinner okay?”

“ ‘Kay, but I needa put these in my room for they don’t get lost,” she urged.

“Okay but come straight back down, alright?”

She nodded and made her way up.

You and Charlie both listened to her make it all the way up the stairs before he stood and walked towards you. Faintly smiling, he showed you his sticker filled arm you had previously only eyed from afar.

Taking it all in up close, you shook your head, “You’ll let her do just about anything huh?”

You only teased. Although he did spoil Emmy some, it wasn’t so bad. You knew Charlie had missed out on a lot of childhood antics with his first daughter, Bella, so witnessing and being part of the reason he had another chance at the whole dad thing was special and gratifying.

“I offered. She was all starry eyed when she placed the first one on me,” he said, with vague swirly gestures near his own eyes. “Kind of a good suggestion too y’know, better than her sticking them all over the furniture or walls.”

“I’ve no doubt that’s where some of the rest are going to end up anyway.”

He looked up towards the stairs, “Yeah, well, as long as they stay limited to her room I’m good with it. Then she can peel them off herself when she’s bored or something.”

You laughed softly at his joke and rubbed a hand up against some of the stickers decorating his skin before wrapping your arms around his neck; his own arms then going low around your waist.

“You’re the best daddy, you know that,” you praised with a kiss to his lips.

Charlie hummed and kissed you some more.

“Mm’ how was work?” you asked, savoring the taste of his lips, still embraced with him.

“Good. Home is always better though,” he said as a joke, holding up his sticker covered arm while his other hand slipped lower to squeeze at your bum.

“I’m sure,” you giggled a little, stepping back. “Well I’m gonna go plate dinner. Stay here and make sure she gets down okay.”

“Yes ma’am.”

“Oh, and I hope you’re looking forward to peeling those stickers off that arm hair later Mr. Good Ideas,” you teased with a smirk as you left for the kitchen.

Charlie looked down at his arm and squeezed his eyes shut in regret just before hearing Emmy reappear at the top of the stairs.

“Daddy, can we putted stickers on your other arm after dinner,” Emmy asked, heading down.

“Uhh, darlin’, let’s think of somewhere else we can put those stickers,” he answered, bringing down his flannel sleeve and holding out a hand for Emmy to take once she reached the bottom of the stairs. <3

Oh my god. The amount of baby dolls your one and a half year old daughter Lenora has in her life already is incredible- all thanks to her daddy Sirius Black who loved to spoil her. And then thanks to her brothers, she had the help to care for all of them too.

The worry that she’d be lonely and left out amongst your three boys as she’d grow up was a worry that had lived in the back of your mind since you found out she’d be a girl.. so imagine how full your heart felt upon seeing your boys willingly cater to her play needs for the first time.

Sirius had hopped onto a quick business call in his home office while you finished up wiping down the table from lunch all while keeping your eyes on the kids. The three boys busied themselves building a racetrack for their cars on the floor near you and Lenora, who was now a walking machine was up and about gathering her three baby dolls from around the living room before she toddled over to where her brothers played.

Dropping the three dolls right beside the boys setup, she then toddled back over to pick up a small blanket from her basket of toys.

Rigel sighed at the sight of the dolls that were in the way of where their racetrack build was leading and got up to pick them up and move elsewhere but just then, Lenora arrived at his side with the small blanket.

“Eeepy,” she babbled, handing her brother the blanket.

“Hmm?” he softly questioned.

“Baby ‘eepy!” she urged.

You looked up from your cleaning at the sound of her voice and your brain quickly pieced the situation together.

“Rige, she wants you to wrap them. Y’know, like daddy does,” you awed.

He smiled and rolled his eyes up in embarrassment but appeased and knelt down to carefully swaddle the three dolls up, just as he’d seen Sirius do for her before.

“Go over to your swing..” Rigel instructed her just as he was about to finish up with the dolls. Lenora took instruction and began to toddle over to the little rocking baby swing (the one she was close to completely outgrowing) but before she got all the way there, Nox and Stellan hurriedly got up and stabled the swing so she could safely get on it, just as they’d seen Sirius do for her too.

After Lenora laid down comfortably, Rigel placed the swaddled babies on top of her tummy and the three boys watched and laughed as she tried to hum a tune and cover all the baby dolls eyes with little splayed fingers.

“Hold on now, what’s all this?” Sirius asked as he came out of his office. You all looked over in his direction, including little Lenora. “Was I late for my grandpa duty?”

The boys laughed at his comment and even Lenora, who despite not understanding a thing, giggled along too. Sirius loved to joke around that he was the grandpa of Lenora’s baby dolls; the bit was funny and also very endearing to you.

After laughing, the boys slid back over to their racetrack while Sirius came over to embrace you from behind with a kiss to the side of your head before setting his chin to rest at the top of your shoulder.

“My worry really was for nothing all along,” you stated with a smile, speaking quietly so the boys wouldn’t overhear anything.

Sirius hummed in agreement as he began to sway your embraced bodies slightly side to side. He didn’t even need to ask, he knew exactly what you were talking about.

He had tried to ease your ‘the boys are going to want no part in her play world’ worry since you first confided in him with it, but he could never quite get it through to you that it would all be fine. Now after seeing this for yourself, he was certain such thoughts would no longer be plaguing your pretty little mind.

“They’re the best boys thanks to you,” you praised him as your eyes shifted down to admire the boys as they played. “They did everything just like they see their daddy do.”

“Now doll, you know I won’t ever take full credit for that,” he rejected humbly. “My lead or not, they love Lenora and would do anything for her.”

Your head turned to look at Sirius; you looked into his eyes first then at his lips where you gave him a quick, loving kiss.

“You’re right.”

“Plus, she’s just too damn cute to say no to.. kind of the same problem I have with her mother,” he teased with multiple kisses to your cheek which made your face scrunch with love.

Once he was finished, you both looked over fondly at Lenora and chuckled softly at how she had now seemingly fallen asleep with her swaddled dolls hugged tightly in her arms. <3

Missed You (with Aaron Hotchner)

Jack was at a Friday night sleepover at his Aunt Jessica’s house so you finally had the chance to shower in Aaron's private bathroom and sleep in his bed like Aaron himself had suggested you start doing now that you were dating.

It was a suggestion he had after one of the first weekends you and him had alone as a couple without Jack home. His reasons being that his bathroom and bedroom were much more spacious for your comfort but in reality, you and him both knew it was because it’d make you feel closer to each other while he was away despite not being able to be there together physically.

Currently you were still, first and foremost, Jack’s nanny so you told him you’d do it but only when Jack was away, because although Jack knew you and Aaron had become more than friends recently, you still wanted to keep things reasonably appropriate in front of him until the relationship progressed further; or how you hilariously put it to Aaron- once we reach the point where our names are no longer connected as employee/boss on tax forms anymore.

Was it a little silly? Sure. But Aaron admired your deep respect for his son all the more.

So that night, after a steamy, warm shower, you threw your shower cap off and came out of the bathroom and into the bedroom, roaming freely in one of your comfy and dainty lingerie sets. You’d take it off in favor of one of Aaron’s shirts come sleep time but in the meantime, you wanted to feel cute in your man's bedroom. Speaking of the room, you kept it lit darkly by the sole bedside table lamp that was always on and walked over to the vanity to grab one of your scented body lotions you had allowed to live in Aaron’s room. After lathering it all over your upper body, you walked over to the edge of the bed and propped your leg up to apply it there.

At some distance, after finishing your first leg, you thought you heard something out front but figured you were being paranoid and switched positions for your other leg. You knew Aaron was on his way home from his week long case today but you weren’t really sure exactly what time that’d be and figured he’d text you when he was close.

Your hand then halted on your slippery, lotion lathered leg as you now definitely heard footsteps outside the bedroom and without time to react the doorknob rattled open…

“Oh my god, Aaron, baby you scared me!” you exclaimed with a hint of relief and a hand over your fast beating heart upon seeing his figure. “I thought I heard something but figured I was overthinking things because Jack isn’t here,” you explained, standing upright from your bent position.

“I’m sorry honey, I didn’t mean to scare you. I should have texted you my ETA before my phone died on the drive over here. Somehow my car charger is missing,” he said, turning to close the door and putting his bag down by the dresser.

“Oh yeah, remember Jack brought it inside with him from when he had his tablet charging on the long car ride home from strawberry picking last weekend.”

Aaron nodded, “I remember now,” he said as he bent down to take off his shoes before slowly making his way over to you.

His eyes shamelessly scanned over your body, top to bottom, before they reached your face again. Once he was close enough, his hands landed on your bare waist.

“Should I expect to come home to you like this every time you’re alone?” he asked in his signature low and serious tone.

“No. You just got lucky you caught me after my shower, Mr. Hotchner.”

Old habits died hard..but also lived on purposefully for teasing and it was entirely his fault since it was he himself who admitted to you how much of an effect that title had on him when his feelings for you first appeared.

“Mm, I see,” his voice rasped. You could tell by his response he was tired and wasn’t up for banter tonight. And luckily for him, when that rasp slipped out, it always made you melt and turned you into a clingy mess for him; so any intentions of teasing him further were now long forgotten.

“It’s been such a long week without you here, I missed you so much,” you guiltlessly confessed as you looked up into his eyes that, like yours, were steadily turning lustful.

“I missed you too honey,” he confirmed with a kiss to your lips. “Your kisses, your touch, your scent, your warmth, everything..”

You blushed as he delicately pulled you into his body and somewhat swayed with you as he whispered close to your ear, “Can I show you how much I missed you?”

There was something about him being still dressed while you stood half naked that made you dizzy. Biting your lip, a tiny whimper escaped and you nodded for him.

Giving the side of your head a kiss, he then gently pulled down your bra strap.

“Want to take my time with you tonight,” he said seductively as he kissed your exposed shoulder, steadily traveling over to your collar bone. “Can I do that?”

The wet trail and spots he left made you shiver and hum with delight.

“You can take me however you want,” your voice shook with arousal and anticipation as your hands reached behind his head to caress the bottom of his hair line at the back of his neck.

Relishing in the soft strokes of your fingers, he nuzzled his face into your neck and groaned with desire when you breathily added, “I’m completely yours tonight, Mr. Hotchner.” <3

A Bit Cold (with Sirius Black)

It was the start of February. Earlier in the day, James had called up Sirius to invite you and him (and Remus on a separate call) to go out that night and try a new restaurant that had just opened up in the city then afterwards, do a little bar hopping.

Before confirming the plans with his friends, Sirius asked if you were up for it and you agreed— had you known just how cold the night would be you might have said otherwise.

Coming out of the second bar of the night, you and Sirius walked hand in hand along the sidewalk as James and Remus led up ahead in hunt for the next place.

Although you were sporting a warm sherpa coat up top, the skirt and pantyhose on your legs were doing you no favors— you wanted to dress cute, sue me, you had thought to yourself while dressing up before leaving the flat. In consequence of your want though, you had spent most of the night so far trying to brave through the winter weather; honestly, you felt you were managing it just fine…but as the night got darker and darker, it really was becoming too much.

A big gust of wind blew yet again and this time, you couldn’t help but finally let yourself shiver into Sirius’s bicep as close as you could.

“What’s the matter, pup?” he asked, looking around to see if something had made you uncomfortable.

“S’nothing, just a bit cold,” you fibbed.

Instead of reprimanding you for your choice of clothing, he casually slipped your hand that was clasped in his into his coat pocket. “Boys,” he then called to James and Remus who stopped and turned around, “I’m calling it a night for us two.”

“No problem Pads, we’ll see you later,” James said, sticking out a hand as a wave while Remus did a single headed nod before turning back and continuing on their way.

“Siri, you didn’t need to do that…we could have stayed out longer,” you commented shyly.

“What I need is to get you home. Can’t have my darling girl freezing out here any longer— just how cruel do you think I am, hm?” he teased.

You blushed with a small smiley pout.

“You look gorgeous tonight, by the way,” he whispered into your ear, giving your hand in his pocket two affectionate squeezes before waving down a cab. <3

Getting home from the doctor’s office, you and Sirius dismissed your trusty babysitter with no mention that you had found out the gender of the baby at the appointment. You would of course tell her, friends and family later but the boys came first.

Your youngest, Stellan, had ran to greet you at the entrance at the sound of your car doors outside.

“You’re back!” he exclaimed, hugging your leg.

Door closing on the babysitter after her farewell, Sirius and you guided Stellan into the living room where your two oldest boys, Rigel and Nox, were sprawled on the couches enthralled with a movie they had watched possibly a thousand times over now.

“So, boys.. we have something to tell you about that baby growing in your mother’s tummy,” Sirius said calmly with pride, awaiting the boy’s attention.

“Did you find out what it is already?!” Rigel excitedly guessed as he got up from his slouched position.

“Yep! You ready for it?” you joyfully questioned, shifting eyes from one boy, to the other (… and the other) as they all quickly came up close to where you and Sirius stood.

Rigel nodded at you with a grin, as did Nox; Stellan, though, looked unsure about what he needed to be ready for exactly but figured he should go along with it and nodded too, but no smile.

“Okay, well boys, it’s…” you looked over at a smiley Sirius then back at your boys as you placed a gentle palm at your belly and finally revealed, “…a girl!”

“Really?!” Rigel beamed.

“Mhm," you and Sirius both hummed.

“Wow! No more brothers! This is going to be so weird!” he exclaimed, throwing his hands up on his head as he shook it in thought.

“Yeah, it’s going to be weird!” Nox chimed.

“And we can finally start calling her a her now!”

“Yeah, finally!” Nox agreed with Rigel yet again.

Your baby boy Stellan stood confused.

“What’s the matter baby? What do you think about it?” you asked him.

“How come you didn’t pick-ed a boy this time?”

“They don’t get to pick, dummy,” Rigel teased.

“Hey. Easy.” Sirius said, stretching a hand out to give the boys’ ear a small tug.

Rigel smiled defeatedly and shrugged. He and Nox seemed to be over the news for now and both headed back to the couches for the movie that was still playing.

“Stellan..” you began as you crouched down, taking his little hands in yours, “in most cases, when mums and dads make babies, they don’t choose what they’ll have. It’s always a surprise.”

“But we are all boys.”

“You’re right. That’s weird isn’t it,” you joked.

Stellan simply nodded as he played with your fingers a little bit then said,

“But mama…I do not think-ed I want a girl. I don’t know how to play with girls and what if I don’t love her?”

“Huh. Well you know your mum is a girl, right?” Sirius spoke, crouching down to his level now too.

“No, she’s my mama.”

“And she’s a girl…” Sirius repeated.

You both kept an amused eye on the boy as it clicked for him, eyes widening and all. “And I love mama so much and then dat means I will love little baby sister so much too cause she will be kind of like mama!” he figured proudly.

Sirius smiled at Stellan, absorbed the thought for a moment, then amorously gazed at you and said,

“I’m sure she will be something like mama.” <3

Reading through your 3 sons 1 daughter universe and I was just wondering. If Regulus had lived, what do you see his version as? Like a lot of writers love seeing girldad! for Sirius most, and you have your own interpretation. But I would love to show regulus some love but I was just curious on your opinion of his kids, genders, amount, birth order, etc?

Mm idk, I’ve actually never really taken an interest in Regulus!

But if I think about it a bit … if I ever decided to mention him, I think it’d be really cute for Regulus’ first baby to be a girl that is had around the same time or after reader from 3sons1daughter Sirius is having hers. Then the two little girls would be like a super cousin best friends duo! Besides that I sadly can’t imagine much else for him 😅

Aside from taking Oliver Woods last name, there was another thing; a tangible thing, that had you lovesick soon after marrying him.

His wedding ring.

When walking in crowded spaces, Oliver would at times pull you into him by your jean belt hoops. You were easily distracted in crowds so he had to make sure you stayed out of harm's way of tripping or accidentally blocking peoples way of walking— the first time he did it after marriage though, you looked down at his hand and saw the glimmer of his ring on his finger that had helped pull you to him. You couldn’t help but smile at the floor to yourself. “You alright?” he asked, questioning your sudden blush. “Yeah. It’s nothing,” you smiled.

Baking sometimes left your face dusted with flour and it wasn’t unusual for Oliver to stroll in the kitchen upon coming home from work and wipe it off your face after giving you a kiss— the first time he did it after marriage though, the coldness of the ring you felt against your cheek got you giddy and made you reach for his hand to hold while giggly giving him another kiss. Oliver squinted at you suspiciously with a smile, “Been a good day, has it?” You nodded and brought your hand that held his close to your chest, “Mm-hmm,” you replied happily.

Holding Oliver’s hand at a quidditch team dinners, fundraisers or award ceremonies had always been a must. Sometimes you’d get nervous, or bored and it was a good distraction— the first time you held it after marriage though, you found yourself filled with love at the sight and touch of his ring. You mindlessly fidgeted with it while listening to the speaker at the event. Oliver side eyed you with a small smile; he was definitely starting to catch on to your newfound fixation. <3

Sirius had been rough housing with the boys to get some last minute energy out of them before bed then had begun cleaning up the mess of toys left behind in the living room from the day but as soon as he heard little footsteps coming around the corner, he knew he had to stop what he was doing.

“Dada, my hair,” baby girl said with a little jump upon seeing him.

Sirius softly smiled, took the brush from her hand and led them to the couch where she turned for him and backed herself between his legs.

Don’t get it wrong, he got rowdy with her just the same as he did with the boys but for some reason, after her bath time, his tone with her just got very lullaby-esque. He also had a much gentler touch when it came to brushing her hair— well, that’s what you figured the preference was, not that you minded though because it was heart melting to witness.

“Did you have a good day today?” he asked as he ran the brush gently through her little wet strands of hair.

“Uh-huh, mama put-ed two good job stickers on my be-avior chart today.”

“That’s my girl,” Sirius lovingly praised while he delicately continued on with the brushing. <3

Aaron is your divorcee neighbor; has been for about a year. Within that year, you’d say you’d become pretty good friends with him as well as with his son who he had with him most weekends. To anyone, it was all seemingly platonic from both ends. You’d bake and gift them batches of sweets and he’d take down any packages you may need sent out on his way to work in the morning…etc.

Any unspoken feelings either of you harbored unfortunately only began to come to light when his ex wife, Hayley, was horrifically killed.

Aaron came to your door as soon as he could the night of the tragedy with glossy eyes. “Is this a bad time? I need someone to talk to.”

“No, of course not. Come in,” your voice shook, instantly thinking the worst. “What happened Aaron, where’s Jack? Is he okay?”

“He’s fine, he’s with..with Hayley’s family,” he said, struggling to keep up his stoic demeanor before completely breaking down in sobs. “Oh Y/N.. it’s awful, it’s… you have- you have no idea.”

That was the first night you ever spent together. He had fallen asleep on your shoulder with teary eyes as you ran your fingers through his hair to soothe him. When you both woke up in the morning, Aaron apologized for burdening you with his troubles and said he had to get going to see what was going on with the funeral preparations. Although neither of you mentioned it, there was a shift in your friendship from that day forward.

After a couple of days of giving him some space to tend to what he needed to do, you went over to his place.

“Hi. I was going to come over yesterday but who wants to see anyone after a funeral..” you said lightly, walking in after he gestured you inside his apartment.

“Well I would have loved if you did.”

You nodded and tried not to blush as he closed the door. “Is Jack here?”

“No. I’m letting him spend one last day with Hayley’s parents while they’re still in town.”

He then went on to explain how the plan was for his sister-in-law, Jess, to start coming around to help out with Jack when he couldn’t be with him but that in the meantime, he’d be looking after him while he took some time off from work while Jack took some time off from school too.

“Well I hope you know you can also count on me helping out too.”

“I wouldn’t ask that of you, but you’re more than welcome to. I know Jack loves having you around...”

You ordered takeout that night so he wouldn’t have to make dinner or be alone and before you left, promised you’d be back in the morning.

“Y/N, when you said you could help I thought you meant after I went back to work. You don’t have to start rearranging your schedule yet, I’m still going to be around for a couple of days.”

“I know…but I know you and I know you’ve been putting up a brave front for me tonight and you don’t have to do that with me. I want to be here for you to lean on these coming days.”

“I don’t-”

“I’ll be here tomorrow, and don’t forget to drink that cup of tea I made you before bed,” you interrupted with a quick, parting hug, leaving him no time to protest as you were already back inside your own place.

You ended up helping the following days more than he ever expected. Since you were an assistant to an event planner, you worked mostly from home making and getting calls; the hours were very flexible so it gave you the ability to do all you could for the Hotchner boys.

Meals and household chores, like laundry and dishes, were all easier for Aaron to accomplish with you around; you were such a positive encouragement for both of them as you made sure Jack stayed on top of his tasks too, like making his bed, brushing his teeth and cleaning up after himself.

Of course with being over everyday, Jack began clinging to you more than he ever used to and while you loved the little boy to pieces, you were worried if you being around so much would affect him negatively. When you expressed your worries to Aaron one night after Jack went to sleep, he immediately put them to an end.

“I don’t know if you knew this but Hayley knew about you. Jack would talk to her about you … and she enjoyed it— listening to how much you cared for her little boy,” Aaron told you as you both stood leaning against the island in his dimly lit kitchen before you left for the night.

“I didn’t know that,” you answered, eyes beginning to gloss.

So what if he left out the small detail of Hayley telling him he should ask out his pretty neighbor Jack always talked about; that wasn’t the important part of the memory, well, important for the matter at hand anyway.

“And almost every night before bed, Jack tells me that he’s happy you’ve been coming everyday. That you make him feel okay-er. Y/N, he loves you and he knows you’re not here to replace anyone.”

Mind at ease then, with a small smile and a stray tear or two, you pushed yourself off the kitchen island and hugged yourself into his chest, which he more than happily accepted and embraced you tightly into for a minute.

“Thanks for making me feel okay-er about all this,” you said, looking up at him from where your head rested against him.

He smiled down at you and wiped a tear from your cheek. “Thank you for being here for us.”

All was well as the days went on until it was time for Aaron to return to work. Jack had returned to school the day before and since everything went smoothly, Aaron could then confidently go back to work too knowing Jack had readjusted just fine.

But that morning, Aaron took longer than usual to come out dressed for the day after breakfast, and the time frame he could use to take Jack to school before work was starting to get dangerously close to closing.

“Hey Jack, I’m going to go check on your dad. If he doesn’t come out soon you just might be late for school. Stay put while I get him, finish watching your show,” you said, tickling his side a little making him giggle as you walked off to Aarons room.

You knocked twice at his door and when he didn’t answer either time, you took a little bit of a risk and went in uninvited. What you saw was him sitting on the edge of his bed, looking down at the floor pensively, dress shirt untucked and tie undone around his collar.

“Aaron?” you spoke quietly.

“I can’t do this,” he said, still looking down.

You closed the door behind you and slowly walked towards him.

“You can’t do what?”

“Return to the real world.”

Your eyebrows furrowed a bit as you sat down next to him and waited for him to continue.

“It’s been- it’s been so great being here in the apartment with just Jack and you… in our own little private world but I’m afraid— it just all feels so different. I feel different. I don’t think I’m going back mentally the same way I left.”

“Well of course you’re not going back the same. You went through something incredibly traumatizing..”

You grabbed one of the bottom edges of his tie and looked down at your fingers as you delicately ran them back and forth over the smooth silk.

“Aaron, I know you’re a little nervous of stepping back into everyday life and I’m.. a little nervous for you too but you got this. I believe in you. You’re the best at what you do and nobody can take that away from you,” you said, letting go of the tie. When you looked up at him, his eyes were on you and seemed to be full of fondness; it made you blush.

“N-now finish getting ready so you can go drop off that adorable little boy out there in time,” you smiled, nervously standing from where you sat next to him.

As you turned to walk away, he stood too and stretched his hand out to gently grab one of your wrists. You turned back completely and both just looked into each other’s eyes for a few seconds; millions of unspoken words and emotions passing between you.

He then finally spoke.

“I really hope I’m not ruining anything but more than ever, I think it’s important to tell you I’ve had feelings for you for pretty much as long as I’ve known you.”

“I’ve had those feelings too, for you,” you admitted.

Relieved, he smiled and you did the same. Slipping his hand down from your wrist, he then took your hand into his properly and interlocked his fingers with yours.

Towering over you like always, he stepped closer and closer and slowly craned his head down as he gently placed the hand that wasn’t holding yours, behind your head. You both closed your eyes and you could feel his lips right in front of yours but could tell he was hesitant to go further.

“Kiss me Aaron,” you told him with a little tremble in your voice. And although you couldn’t see him, you felt him smile before he softly pushed his lips against yours.

Your first kiss was a tender one but after the initial pull away, both his hands landed on your waist and yours around his neck as you leaned back into each other for a more heated and passionate kiss. It was an internal struggle, but eventually you managed to pull yourself away from his lips completely.

“Jack needs to get to school,” you giggled.

Aaron rested his forehead against yours. “And I need to get to work. This beautiful neighbor of mine believes in me and I don’t want to let her down.”

“Hm, sounds like a smart girl,” you teased.

He stood tall and interlocked his hands with each of yours. “Incredibly smart, incredibly caring, incredibly attractive.. the list could go on,” he concluded, embracing you with a warm hug and a kiss to the top of your head. <3

Best Alarm Clocks (with Remus Lupin)

7:13 A.M is the time that reads on your night stand clock; it’s not an alarm that has woken you up, but the cry of your baby girl, Beatrice, in the nursery across the hall. Surprisingly her cry doesn’t wake Remus which is just as well because he deserves some extra rest on this Saturday morning.

Carefully and slowly, you get out of bed and go across the hallway to see Bee (as you and Rem called her); you changed her dirty diaper real quick before taking her back over to your bedroom so the three of you could all cozy up a bit together before breakfast time.

After bringing her in, you set her down at the center of the bed as you lounged sideways beside her with the support of your elbow. You watched as she crawled to your pillow, climbed atop of it and with the aid of the headboard, pulled herself up to stand; it was actually something she had only recently discovered she could do.

“Oh my goodness, such a big girl now aren’t you,” you cooed quietly. Bee babbled something in return then continued on with her hold on the headboard and unsteadily began walking on the mushy pillows towards Remus’s sleeping form.

“Oop, don’t wake daddy. He’s sleeping..come back to mama,” you told Bee, who obviously didn’t quite understand your words and went ahead and stepped up on Remus‘s head to continue her path along the headboard.

“Beatrice,” you giggled quietly.

Bee momentarily turned back at you at the call of her name but then returned to her wobbly steps over the hump that was Remus’s head.

You would have pulled her off but saw Remus sleepily smiling at the rough wake up call he was being given; also it was just too cute to disrupt.

“You’re just like your mother,” his sleep laced voice hummed as he turned to pull Beatrice down into a cuddle at his side. Luckily Bee was used to being picked up and moved around at random at this age still so she didn’t even protest the pull down and just happily accepted it.

“What’s that supposed to mean?” you said then, sitting up and crossing your arms.

“You know what it means love,” he answered groggily, shutting his eyes again while Bee comfortably laid where he put her at his side—curiously eyeing the sole top button on his sleep shirt which she reached to touch lightly with her tiny fingertips.

And yes, you did know what he meant by you’re just like your mother. He was referring to the way you’d smother his face with kisses some mornings while he still slept which in turn eventually woke him up.

“Okay, but you know you love it. Well maybe the kisses a little more than being stepped on but,” you laughed, tickling Bee’s little onesie covered foot. She kicked her foot with a giggle and smushed her face into Remus’s chest.

Remus peered down at his giggly baby and shook his head, “No. I love them both,” he answered. “Best alarm clocks I’ve ever had,” he concluded with heart eyes to you then down at Bee. <3

Do you remember when I sent you this? Well, I finally thought of a name for the baby girl. The name is: Jamie.

For Sirius, James is like a brother to him and when he needed him most and when he ran away from home the first person he ran to was James. It's really cute to think that he would name one of his children Regulus and it's also really cute that he wants to honor James in this way too. (Surely when James held little Jamie in his arms and asked what her name was and heard you say it he cried and wanted even more to protect her from all the evil in the world) <3
