Boring updates on my life.

It’s been ages since I’ve written anything interesting. Unfortunately, this is also not going to be interesting. Just some random stuff.

1) I finally went on my first ever Tinder date! Proud but also... it was so boring. We saw the Caps win the Stanley Cup (so agreed upon as a date because it was low pressure). We high-fived when they won (several times) and half-hugged when we met and parted. He is not my type. He has zero ambition to do anything and that freaks me out. So now I know that. I don’t want to ghost him but also don’t ever want to see him again. How do?

2) My text game is strong with another dude who says he wants to go back to school and we are going to meet up this week. I’m worried that in person we’ll have nothing to say or that I’m going to have to pretend to be interested in something to get through the date. But at least it will be out of the way. I must get into better practice with this whole dating thing. (Side note: hate it.)

3) School is an interesting mix of people. I’m right in the middle as far as age, some are kids right out of undergrad and some are in their 40s/50s looking for a career change. It’s interesting. Everybody seems equally motivated, nobody seems to be doing this for lack of better things to do. My instructors are varied and interesting. Some of them seem very chill and go off on to tangents easily. One is the literal reincarnation of Robin Williams in his manic coke-fueled heyday. He’s very entertaining but hard to follow sometimes.

4) I know the weather’s beautiful and all, but I can’t be bothered to go outside. I’m so tired after all my homework and reading (I didn’t realize I was this out of practice!) that I haven’t been able to motivate myself to get out and explore. Technically I have weekends off but... I’ll have to see. I haven’t even been to the beach yet! Or eaten tacos! Or done anything... Californian-y!

5) My landlords are probably going to be my friends forever unless I manage to royally fuck up. No joke. They invite me to eat with them all the time (in and out) and don’t ask for anything in return, they basically treat me like a roommate instead of a renter. It’s cool. We play trivia together on HQ (haven’t won yet, but we’re getting there). They’ve even introduced me to their neighbors, who now invite me to hang out. They go on vacation this week though... and I get to watch their pup! (For a rent cut of course). It’s all very cool. Especially considering how concerned I was about getting scammed.

Anyway, back to those breach of contract pleadings... ;)
