His studies had been going well so far, not only that but his dragon whelp was getting progressively better at talking with him. Casne would gaze at the blurry orb of Elruna’s soul– that was the name of his dragon –, humming in thought as he moved about his staff. He noticed that the weight of it had increased, most likely this baby dragon had sat itself ontop of his staff, so with a chuckle he would stand up and wave it about. “Playful little thing, aren’t you? Then I guess I’ll just have to shake you off~!” Despite sounding like a threat, it was clear he was only playing around, now moving his staff in slow circles, stepping about and completely oblivious to his surroundings. The magus would laugh now, followed by the howl of his own dragonling commenting with a ‘wheeee~!’, the two were practically dancing about on the spot!
‘Wuh-woh!! Wasne, watch out—’
“Hm?~”
Too late, he took a sharp turn and his crystalized staff immediately swings at the person who was within his reach. If he hits their face or not is unknown to him, but once the weight of Elruna was off his staff, he pulled it up and used it as support.
“Oops~ Sorry, sorry. Are you okay? I didn’t hit you did I?”
Now, priorly, Giovanni had been minding his own business for once: standing around and talking to his own dragon Flesh-Render. Even though he knew Flesh-Render was old enough TO talk by now, the fact was he was very shy and didn’t like to speak much, so he was helping him grow confidence by taking him more places about the school! More adventures! “Yeah, I know we’ve already seen most’a these places by now, but constant adventures that you’ve been helping so much on - I’d like ta think they’ve helped you!” His dragon nodded appreciatively, but eyes widened at seeing a large crystal stick swinging directly in their direction while the pink-haired male wandered, he jumping off Giovanni’s shoulder to try and warn him: “...Gwo! Watch out!” Giovanni’s eyes lit up in utter surprise and shock that he actually heard his dragon SAY something - but his natural bad-guy trouble alertness distracted him from that on seeing the large crystal object swinging, and being a baseball player himself, he jumped backwards like a player stealing second base, the staff barely missing him in the process, eyes wide and all on alert. What - who the heck had that been? Still, he was thankful that his dragon said something - seemed like he only talked when he ABSOLUTELY had to, but still - he blinked on registering who had swung the staff he’d narrowly avoided. “Nah, I’m fine! It’s going to take more than THAT to hit the STAR baseball player of Sweet Jazz!! Hey, if anything, I should be thanking you! Your little startlin’ thing actually got Flesh-Render to be less shy and talk a little, so hey, thanks for that!” Indeed, if the shark-like grin was anything to go by, Giovanni was actually pretty cheerful and happy about all this.
