An introduction.

Salutations to you all. My name is Galekh Xigisi, as you may be well aware of from the title of this blog. 

I have come to this site not as some bottom-feeding casual scroller, but to fully immerse myself in what I have seen to be a thriving community of artists and intellectuals, to dine among some of the brightest minds on the interwebs. Though, considering the fact that this is my first foray into Tumblr, I am still familiarizing myself with all of the customs. Forgive me if I come off as gauche in your people’s ways, for I am not native to these lands.¹

Next, from my deep research into introduction posts, this is about the point where I am to tell you about myself. If I were bear to you the absolute simplest and easily digestible summary of my personality,² although it certainly does not cover all bases, I would tell you now that I am an avid reader and writer. I find myself to be quite the scholar, and my strongest passions lie in creative pursuits of all kinds. I still implore you to take a closer look at my blog if you would like to learn more, and perhaps follow me if my musings spark your interest. I would thoroughly enjoy conversing with some of you.

How is life with a Goatdad for a lusus? We know of their penchant for paper products and distaste for baby gates, but are they nice? I only ask because there are some lusci who do the guardianship, those who need guardians as charges and some who... well, let's face it, make their charges Need Guards *from* them.

Daily life with a lusus such as mine can be… challenging, to say the least.

There are a plethora of restrictions I must put up to ward him from eating valuable items, and a gate is only one cog in this machine. It is my duty to watch what I put on counters, hang on walls, drop on the floor, anything that is in his range¹ he will at the very least investigate. He thoroughly enjoys eating any vaguely food-shaped item he can find, and if he does not choose wisely he can become quite ill.

That being said, he is a splendid guardian in all other aspects. He is not particularly high maintenance, outside of requiring plenty of clever enrichment. I do not mind, for needing a well-stimulated mind is a sign of high intelligence, a natural fit for somebody like me. He has his own block with a steady supply of nutrition in the form of water and mineral licks, but for food I must keep him on a strict schedule.² I also try to spend as much time with him as I can, which he makes quite easy by having a pleasant demeanor.³

In sum, despite the amount of books he has eaten from my library, curtains he has chewed through, and gates he has jumped over, I could not ask for a better lusus.

1. And he is almost as tall as I am.

2. Lest he attempt to wheedle his way into a second dinner, which he does often.

3. Tagora claims my lusus has a better personality than I do. I doubt this. Although his species is among the brighter of Lusus naturae, lusii are in general not known for their depth of character.

Ah, well… Thank you very much! I’m flattered, truly! To answer your question, one would pronounce my last name as zɪɡiːsiː.¹ This can also be broken down into a simpler construct, zi-gee-see. I find this to be a less effective translation than the IPA, but I recognize not everybody can comprehend a system of such sophistication.

And, excuse me, you have “stuff” of me? What exactly does that entail?²

Ah! I did not expect to get a submission so soon! Yes, I would be happy to answer your question, although I am unsure how you know these individuals. Although it may seem improper to "rank" those I have made acquaintance with... I doubt any of them use Tumblr¹ and it would be all the more improper of me to deny my very first inquirer an answer.

I get along best with Sezyat, by far. She, like I am, is quite talkative, and I find conversation with her to be both fast paced and riveting. I am also under the impression that she is the only one who genuinely enjoys my presence. This is a good thing, because I very much enjoy her too. She is quick-witted and quite knowledgeable, which I can always appreciate in anyone I meet.

I find Entykk to be worthy of a positive note too. Though, my thoughts on her are based primarily on what I hear of her through Sezyat, since I do not talk to Entykk myself very often. She seems to be similarly sharp, like her matesprit, and I would like to have a more in-depth conversation with her at some point. The only problem is that she consistently evades me, and seemingly tries not to stick around too long when Tagora is present. From the few times I have spoken to her, though, I have enjoyed her.

However, I have never particularly enjoyed Kalbur, and I am sure that this feeling is mutual. His taste in literature is mostly bottom-of-the-barrel paperback manga, so it is difficult for someone with more refined tastes, like me, to find connection with him. I suspect he thinks I am a "normie" in return,² and therefore does not like me either.

Then there is Kasund, who, to put it simply, annoys me. I have seen her Chittr, and objectively, her "memes" are anti-intellectual, propagandizing, poorly-designed garbage. I already have one wobbler I have to deal with on a consistent basis, I find no joy in a second.

…and for your information, Tagora ranks dead last.

1. I doubt any of them would care in the first place. I am not the most popular figure among them, which I accept... with some struggle.

2. I am only slightly offended.
