thank you! i'm sorry for disappearing so abruptly, but with my adhd sometimes my brain just completely drops an interest, which is what happened with druck (along with an unhealthy dose of drama). skamfr and arthur having hearing problems seems to have relit the skam excitement for me though!

it’s nearly a minute of them walking and not once is she speaking and he’s looking anywhere else but her face.

as someone with shitty as hearing this just,,, hit me. cos sometimes that’s what you have to do to hear someone clearly- and if you’re not looking at them, it’s so much harder to know what they’re saying.

basically- the speaker represents arthur's eardrum.

we see it in perfect condition first, to open the clip. anyone who knows the basics of how speakers work will know that this covering does the exact same job as your eardrum, it vibrates to make sound.

then after Arthur loses his hearing, we see it again, covered in confetti. it follows a certain shape, almost like a tear through the bottom of the speaker; a tear in Arthur's eardrum.

i went god damn wild when i noticed this. my mans losing his hearing this season rip

Fandom Drama: Fanfiction, Tumblr and Discord

(I apologise for tagging this under #druck, but this is a response to posts containing attacks tagged under #druck.)

Last post was already one post too many, in terms of addressing private disagreements, or feuds, if you will, in public on Tumblr. This post is two too many. I will make it short.

I was alerted to the fact that the kicked member (as referenced to in the previous post) is causing issues in the Tumblr tags. I have not read their posts, as I have already extensively addressed all issues in my last post and called for direct and civil conversations. Speaking as a long term member of the DOD, I apologise, but take no responsibility for their actions, as they are already kicked for harassing and attacking the admin and other members.

We have made the conscious choice to take the discussion of the drama into private conversations to not stress our friends who are not involved. But this person, previously not involved in the drama at all, decides to yell about it when people made it clear they do not want it to be discussed in the server, and claimed in their rant inside the discord they “cant be bothered” (verbatim) to discuss it with me when I offered through the admin to discuss the issue with them. They have then brought it to here on Tumblr to preach incomplete recounting of events to further their position. This is absolutely disrespectful.

The drama itself is extensively addressed in [my last post] (same link as in the beginning).

But let me be clear: We did not, do not and will not bully anyone. The admin built the server as a safe space for people in fandom who come in and become our friends. This has not changed.

Many members of the server, both involved and uninvolved in this event, are minors. Some of them were being yelled at by this person in the server when this person refused to drop the situation. Claims that we are a group of bullying adults is totally unsubstantiated and slander. (More on this near the end.)

In fact, part of the reason this person is kicked was that they were harassing a server moderator who is a minor, alongside other members of a wide range of ages trying to stop the situation unfolding in the server.

The comments on the since-deleted fic by some of our friends was a misstep, as I have addressed in the first post. I have explained and apologised on behalf of them, and some of them also personally left comments to apologise for their actions.

We did not do anything more to cause the other party to delete their Tumblr. We did not escalate it onto AO3 (to my understanding, the post is since deleted). I am only addressing this publicly in response to accusations being thrown about. I am speaking out for myself and for my friends, with their consent, because even if it stresses me out, this does not affect my mental wellbeing as badly as it has been affecting my friends.

We stand by our account and assessment of the events.

Lastly, I hate to be one who pulls receipts, but I will pull one: The other party said they are not a minor when she first joined. I do not know how the assertion by this third party that she is a minor came into being.

I repeatedly called for civil and constructive conversation, but it fell onto deaf ears. This third party is purportedly older than me. I’m genuinely lost for words.

What happened has happened. We are all trying to move on from this situation. I implore you: Stop harassing members of our server. I hope this is the last I have to write on this matter.

This post shows exactly why you were kicked from the discord.

For those who don’t know, there’s unfortunately been quite a lot of drama in the dod this past week or so. It was a lot, and I came to a point where it was necessary for my mental health for me to take a short break as admin.

As you can see in the screenshots, you (slyssibling), knew this. You even make reference to it. The reason I got to the point where it was necessary for me to take a break was the fact that you were hounding me for an hour about something I’m only marginally involved in- outright refusing to speak to the individual involved or their volunteered spokesperson- from 3:48am to 4:48am. You knew it was that early for me. I even told you so myself. Nevertheless you persisted to dog me with questions on a subject I felt I was entirely the wrong person to answer until five in the morning. And so, I was completely and utterly fucking exhausted. Ten minutes after our conversation ended I announced I was taking a break.

So then we come to the screenshots in this post. These events happened not even 24 hours after I announced I was going on break. It was 1am, for me, and I was fast asleep- as was the other adult moderator on the server. The only person running the server at the time is the girl you can see in blue in these screenshots, Diana- who is a minor. She’s since expressed discomfort to me about the situation, and how she felt awkward trying to chastise the behaviour of you, and individual who is 22 years old and much older than her. She, along with other members, repeatedly asked you to drop a subject which you had been told repeatedly they had already attempted to resolve externally. The moment you received this message

should have been the moment this conversation ended. If the people directly involved have reached out to the other party and recieved no response, there is no more anyone can do. If attempts have been made on our part to settle this situation and put it to rest, and those attempts have not been met, what else are we to do? It is surely pointless to further harrass the members of a discord, for a start.

You cannot act like the innocent party here. You, an adult, came on to our server at a time where both of the adult authorities were not present, harrassed members and the minor moderator about a subject you are not involved in, and then proceeded to ignore both members and moderator when they repeatedly told you to drop the subject as they had already attempted to solve it externally.

This is why you were kicked. I did that myself after waking up and seeing your actions in my absence.

None of this was ever anything to do with you. You barely spoke on our server, and certainly weren’t involved with what happened on either side. Why you’re taking it upon yourself to harrass my friends to no discernible end I do not know. But I ask that you stop. This issue has nothing to do with you, and we have already done all we can to try and solve it.
