I can’t wait to be married and wear my wedding ring all the time and tell everyone I’m married like it’s a personality trait

Privileges of being female

I can go near a random kid and not be seen as a threat

I can commit the same crime as a man and get a lighter sentence

I am 4X more likely to get a job in STEM just because they want more women

I can get scholarships just for being female even though females make up 60% of college students

I am much more likely to get the kids in a divorce even if I’m less qualified to have them

If a guys wants a kid I can kill it and if he doesn’t I can keep it and force him to pay me.

I am over represented in government because the majority of voters are women

If I was raped it would be taken more seriously then if a man was

I’m less likely to be murdered

I have homeless shelters specific for my gender

The phrase “women and children first”

I can vote without binding myself to the draft (though this may change)

So here’s the thing this isn’t a public flogging. I’m not sorry I have these privileges, but I do think women need to stop and realize how good we have it.

Idk why the homemaking community romanticizes the 1950's so much. I mean, the fashion is cool and all. But I still don't enjoy the hyper-capitalistic, cold war tension of the time.

Nah, give me like the 1850's. I want a farm in the middle of the woods. To spend my days tending the animals and the garden, baking fresh bread, reading books, crocheting, and singing while I cook.

I really just want to be a farmer, man. 😭

some people need to understand that women with hopes of being homemakers and wives still have the ability to discern.

the whole "holier than thou" act from feminists on this site is getting tiring. they essentially infantilize traditional women and assume that we aren't capable of wisely choosing our husbands. it's gross and frankly not very "pro-women". as if we don't have a fully functioning brain to decide for ourselves.

i keep hearing: "oh he's gonna leave you in 20 years for someone younger", "good luck finding a job when he divorces you after you've had babies" like what???

some of y'all have had very poor male relationships in your lives and it shows. it's quite sad and i do hope you can cultivate better ones in the future but don't project your bad experiences on everyone like they are a given. they are not the norm.

not all men are bad. not all men are abusive and egotistical. not all men are out to get you, ladies. some very well may be, but NOT ALL.

Just because we have traditional values doesn't mean we are going to throw ourselves at the first man that comes. it doesn't mean we'll be in abusive relationships. it doesn't mean our husbands won't value our opinions and take them into account.

Personally I've got a whole lot of standards for my future husband and I expect him to have the same for me. I will not submit to any man that looks at me with dooey eyes. I will be intentional of who I pick and will thoroughly watch how he treats others because that is how he will treat me.

I'm traditional but I'm not naive. I'm not a child. I can think for myself and will not tolerate abuse from someone I have intentions of marrying.

and traditional marriages do work. my parents have been in one for over 23 years and are still doing well. my dad's never been abusive or unkind and has always valued my mother's input. so there's no daddy issues on my part.

ps: even if after all that, i still get a horrible husband who treats me poorly, guess what? I'll leave him and will be FINE. I will find my own way, I'll have God on my side and that will not negate my traditional values.

also I'm an RN so for everyone telling me i won't be able to provide for myself if I'm left alone with kids, don't you worry about me. there's always a need for nurses somewhere 😉
