The word flutters from his lips as he approaches the man at the Silver Tree; hardened expression which was normally donned upon his features visibly softening as his steps pulled him closer to the weakened king. Calloused hands reached out gently to hold onto the Elder Faerie’s own, bringing himself as close as humanely possible, lips pressed gingerly against the Royal fae’s forehead; fingers squeezing his hands lightly.
“I’ve checked around the entry way to make sure no one had stumbled upon the Kingdom—No intruders have been found. No one has gotten in, and I have men stationed to make sure of that.” A soft puff of air leaves the Silver Knight’s nose as he pulls back enough for his dark eyes to look directly into the light blue hues of his beloved.
“You should have let me know you wanted to move around... You’re expelling too much of your energy. You need to be resting, in your state. Saving a much of your energy as you can…” Words laced with concern; perhaps he had been a little more…protective since the incident where he almost lost the other, but really, how could anyone blame him?
“I can carry you from destination to destination. I’ve told you that time and time again. You’ll overdo it if you aren’t careful.” ( @treeguard (: )
Silken attire drags itself behind the king of the fae as he walks carefully through the soft white lilies of their grotto. The moonlight beaming off their petals as his pale gaze met the other who had approached him. He was weak , not the same as he would have been before he had given his power to white lily. Left as a shell to walk around to spare his subjects the mourning loss of their stalwart ruler. As the other spoke he tutted, hand resting in the silver gauntlet as he chuckles softly, eyes remained closed even after the others lips graced his forehead.
" Now, now . . . " he speaks barely above a whisper, fingers running against the cold metal that adorned his silver protector. " If you keep coddling me the others will start to wonder if their Silver Knight has gone soft. Remember your oath . . "
It was lighthearted - he admired the others unwavering devotion even if he was just a husk left behind. But after giving his power away - the fae king found himself practically barely able to walk alone. However, that did not stop him from meandering away. Much to the dismay of those that the knight had ordered to keep an eye on him. His pride was at stake , and he would not allow the other to treat him like a senile old cookie just to feel a minuscule sense of security.
" I need not you to carry me, Kabir. I can walk rather fine on my own. Even if you refuse to believe me. " despite his insistence - it was obvious he was growing weaker by the second the more they stood there chatting. Most of his energy was expelled walking his way through the gardens just to get fresh air by himself.
" I can walk just fine . "
