"Twenty years from today, this poem is about where we are and what will last" [2020]
My stresses and impulses are leading me to Keep finding empty space The last thing that connected me to a time before the world became very strange I am walking out my door
Isolated resistance In that strange virtual space They are attempting to thrive A bittersweet remembering of what the world was like clean air and spaces to think I look back with a wisdom that had just been courage
There's no secret test. I’m still very much clueless Young and a bit innocent
The human idea of what it was That adrenal rush My son’s cuddles It can't all be happy flowery nice You are tense enough as it is
That uncertainty was important for who I was who I was becoming I miss how carefree we were about touch I miss the unexpected weeks that made us realize how interconnected we needed to be to survive I miss them dearly, as much as I miss all the friends lost.

“Bedroom 2040“ was a digital participatory conceptual art piece I conducted in 2020. I asked participants to step 20 years into the future with me and answer questions about what the year 2020 was like. Those answers were then turned into a cubist poem about where we are and what will last.”
_________
Imagine you are in your bedroom and the year is 2040. Take a moment to imagine what this might look like, or where your room is in the world. You go outside for a walk to somewhere part of your daily routine. Q: Where are you going? On this walk you start to get nostalgic for your life in 2020. Q: What are you nostalgic for? Q: Do you miss anything about that time? Q: If you ran into yourself from 2020 on this walk, what would you say to yourself?
Now that the world is ending, will we be able to imagine what comes next?
A dissertation I wrote on how A.R.Gs could be an artistic tool in encouraging public imagination to branch beyond the limits of capitalist realism.

This was a segment of the digital exhibition “Consequences” in response to COVID19 and commissioned through The City Of London and Guildhall.
This piece involves artificial intelligence responding to a conversation through text generation and voice cloning.

From a video shoot for an art project my friend directed. It premiered inside of Tower bridge but I didn't wanna pay for the expensive tickets so i don't have pictures of it actually being screened.
