warnings: none besides tony being a smug mf. this was just something quick i wrote on a road trip with my family. i had to end this quickly cause i got sleepy and too lazy to finish so i'll make a part two to finish it. tell me what you would want to see in part two!
paring: peter parker x reader
when you agreed to help your boyfriend clean up his mess in the lab this isn't exactly what you expected to happen. it started off easy enough. wiping down tables and tiding up his supplies which were scattered all over the table. it was generally quiet apart from peters quiet humming and the occasional rustling of test tubes.
"hey, pete? where are these supposed to go." you held up a small beaker with a blue powdery substance, swishing it around it the jar.
peter quickly rushed forward, snatching it out of your hand rather forcefully. neither of you noticed the small amount of power that tipped out of the jar and fell onto your shoes, causing a faint twinkle to come from the floor.
"we're not supposed to go near that apparently. tony says it's some weird new dna formula thingy. i don't know, i stopped paying attention after he told me to leave it alone." you rolled your eyes as peter gently placed the beaker on the workbench.
the two of you went back to cleaning the lab, you sweeping while peter carefully stacked bruces files in a nice pile. the lace of your shoe must've gotten stuck on a crack in the floor or something because before you could blink, you were falling face first into the table. with the force of your fall, your knee bumped the leg of the table, causing the beaker to topple off the tabel and smash onto the floor.
"what the fuck happened to your 'spidey senses'?" you questioned, hands rubbing your face, feeling the dull pain that throbbed in your cheeks.
peter covered his mouth with the back of his hand, biting back a laugh while you scolded him. both of you failed to notice the sparkling powder spread over the floor till you suddenly dropped to the floor, panting vigorously. peter rushed to your side, tapping your cheek while he practically screamed in your face.
"y/n! hey, what's wrong? are you okay? how many fingers am i holding up?" you simply groaned, gripping onto the hem of his shirt. your head was pounding and you were starting to feel faint, like you could pass out any second now. your limbs ached like a full body cramp and you watched as peter started to sweat, laying down on the floor next to you.
before you could say anything, your eyes rolled to the back of your head, and just like that, the world went black.
well, it wasn't that deep. no, you just passed out till tony and bruce came running into the lab, shouting both of your names. tony shook your shoulder till you slowly blinked up him, his face initially coming off as blurry. you titled your head to the side, hoping to see peter next to you but he wasn't there
"what the fuck!?" you screached, sitting up, quickly regretting that decision when you started to feel faint again.
it was like you were looking into a mirror. you were staring at your unconscious body while tony shook your shoulder trying to get your attention onto him. you heard him murmur something like, 'i fucking told them not to go near it' but you didn't care.
you were practically heaving at this point. then it got worse
you looked down to see you weren't wearing your normal clothes. no, you were wearing (peters?) jeans with a midtown tech sweater. then you realised you felt much more bigger. more built than normal. it didn't take long till you looked down at your lap and your eyes widened. you heard tony sigh deeply behind while bruce watched you with cautious eyes.
while you were busy freaking out over your new appearance, peter groaned next to you, slowly waking up while rubbing his eyes like he would from a nap.
"y/n?" he groaned out and your head snapped towards him. you would have laughed at how feminine his voice sounded had you not been panicking from the more important matter at hand. tony and bruce scrambled off the flip through their files, leaving you and peter to cope with your temporary appearance.
peter scrambled away from you when he saw what you looked like, looking down at his your hands. he noticed that he wasn't wearing his jeans but instead a pair of demon shorts and a lilac blouse. you noticed his breathing pick up and slowly crawled over to him, outstretching your hand towards him.
"what the fuck?" his eyes widened when he heard not him voice, but yours. you let a giggle (well, chuckle) at his reaction and stretched your hand out to cup his cheek.
"you're me." you said, a fascinated lilt to your tone. your heard tony shout a 'yeah no shit' from the other side of the lab but ignored him, you're attention purely on your boyfriend.
peter nussled his head into your hand as he looked you up and down curiously. his attention then turned to himself as he stood, tugging your hand with him, and guided the two of you to the large window near the door of the lab. your fingers brushed your cheeks and a light smile took its place on your lips.
"jeez, pete. how do you get your skin so soft?" you joked, trying to make light of the odd situation. peter laughed next to you, though you noticed his eyes elsewhere, "seriously?" you deadpanned.
"babe, im a teenage boy who's switched bodies with his extreamly hot girlfriend. what do you expect." he chuckled and you rolled your eyes as his fingers poked at his your boobs. you slapped his hands away and tugged him to where tony and bruce were flipping through their files.
"look, i don't wanna know the the fuck happened. i just want to know if you can fix it cause i might need to pee and theres no way in hell im going like this." you pointed down to your pants and tony huffed out a laugh, grabbing yours and peters shoulders and guiding the two of you out of the lab.
"no need to worry, spidey. brucey and i will come and get you guys when we figure out how to fix this. in the mean time, go have fun and i don't know, prank cap or something but don't stress." and with that, he quickly pushed the two of you out of the lab, leaving you and peter standing there like two confused idiots.
"so, what now?" you asked you, still shocked, boyfriend as he turned to you, face blank.
