@.Klance_01 basically Lance brought up howthey’re shipped. Like, he acknowledged it and called Keith “A massivesweetheart, so he doesn’t mind”
The video in particular that has theinternet is a firestorm is Lance’s most recent Q and A. He usually does thembi-weekly as he compiles massive lists of comments or questions from throughoutthe previous weeks.
“Jessica asks, ‘Hey, why did you startmaking videos?’,” Lance says as he scrolls through his phone, his tripod set updirectly in front of his bed. His room is completely spotless in the centre,most of his random junk being pushed off to the side; just out of shot. He canhonestly barely move around, just it at least gives the illusion ofcleanliness.
His background his honestly as vibrant ashe is, his entire wall is plastered with fanart from conventions. Right next tohis bed is a massive black bookshelf covered in gifts from fans, from hats tominiature figures. Every last thing is there. He’s always loved every singlething a fan as made him, and has never had to heart to put in a box to collectdust – or god forbid throw it away. So, every piece goes on the fan-case (inhis defence his fans named it).
“Well, I honestly just made them as a wayto update my family of what’s going on in my life. If you go waaaaaayyy back inmy channel, there are a few vlogs that I haven’t made private of just metalking to my family. I couldn’t actually send them videos, so I uploaded themhere so they could see them. People started sharing from there, and well, herewe are! I overshare details about my daily life for a living.
He scrolls for a little bit longer, eventhough he already has the screenshots of the tweets pulled up on his phone.
“Ah! Here we go. This person asks, ‘Heylance!-‘ Sup stranger ‘- Do you likeboys or girls?’.” Lance looks up at the screen with a deadpan expression,making a mental note to zoom in during his editing. “Yes,” He answers.
He scrolls through his camera app until helands on the particular tweet he really wanted to asker this video. It’s notbecause he’s in desperate need of views (he’s been doing better than everlately), but he just takes pleasure in watching the internet quickly lose theirminds. It’s just funny, okay?
“Next up. Riley asks, ‘Hey, do you know whoRedKeith is? And if so, what do you think of him? Love you <3” Lance pausesfor a moment, mentally preparing himself for the reaction that whatever he’sgoing to say will have. Negative, there will be a shitstorm. Positive, an evenbigger shitstorm. Fangirls will find a way man, they always find a way.
“First off, love you too! Secondly, yeah, Iknow Keith! I’ve met the dude a few times in person, at like conventions andsuch. I wouldn’t say we’re besties, but I think he’s a nice person. Honestly, Ithought he was going to be rude based on his vibe… but he’s actually a massivesweetheart? He’s one of the nicest people I’ve met, really.” Lance pauses andglances down at his phone. “Well, I can’t really talk about him without talkingabout Klance.”
Fangirls everywhere scream and/or throwtheir phones across the room.
“Honestly, I just like his music. He’s agreat singer and an even better person. If you want to ship us, fine. Just,please don’t harass either of us about it. It really puts a strain on a creatorif all they see if people linking them slash fiction. ANYWAY! Tangent aside,back to the video!”
Lance moved on from the question prettyquickly. He only picked it because one, people would finally shut up about ifhe knows Keith, and two, he just wanted to give his option on the wholeshipping situation. Plus, Keith will never notice, so what’s the harm?

“Hieveryone, It’s Keith and I’m back wi-” Keith breaks off with a loud laugh, amassive smile on his face as he tries to hold back his giggles. “Dude, I can’teven do this with a straight face. Stop making those faces at me! Sorry, Shirois being a moron behind the camera – and now he’s doing the Macarena. This iswhat I have to put up with ladies and gentlemen.”
“Do your damn song!” Shiro heckles frombehind the camera, adjusting the frame ever so slightly as Keith tries to calmhimself down.
“Right! Okay, so. I’ve been thinking aboutcovers lately…. And this isn’t really the kind of song I usually do, but it’ssomething that I’ve really wanted to do. So, I hope you like it anyway!”
Keith adjusts his posture as he turns awayfrom the camera, rolling his shoulders slightly as he looks at the sheet musicin front of him. He breaths out slowly and starts playing, his fingers fallinginto a natural rhythm from muscle memory alone. He barely so much as glances atthe sheet.
“Short steps, deep breath, everything isalright,” Keith sings, quietly hoping that he’s doing this song justice. Itwasn’t really designed for a guy to sing, so he’s just hoping that his vocalrange is high enough. He has always prided himself on that at least. “Chin up…I can’t, step into the spotlight. She said, ‘I’m sad’… somehow without anywords… I just, stood there, searching for an answer…” A long pause falls overthe room as his fingers continue to expertly press each key, his room slowlyfilling with a perfect melody.
“When this world no more, the moon is allwe’ll see. I’ll ask you to fly away with me… Until the stars all fall down,they empty from the sky.” In moments like this the world outside slowly fadesaway, Shiro disappears from behind the camera, the soon to be millions ofpeople watching this video don’t exist. It’s just him and his music. He’scontent.
“But I don’t mind… if you’re with me,then everything is alright.” He takes a small break from singing and stops tohum, nothing but the piano filling the otherwise silent room. As the songcontinues, he finds himself singing louder, his eyes shut as a certain calmnessfalls over his entire being. He’s content.

“Hey guys, welcome back to the weird sideof the internet! If you can’t already tell, I’m not at home!” Lance does a spinaround the room almost to prove his point, showing off the new backdrop in hisvideo. “You’ve probably already read the video, meaning that you probably knowwho I’m with right now… that being the one and onl- are you seriously play thepiano right now?” Lance wanders into a room only for his face to drop as thecamera pans to a terrified Keith, his hands are currently hovering over thepiano keys like a kid who was just caught cheating in an exam.
“I thought you went to the bathroom orsomething, I didn’t know you were recording, and I was just practisingsomething I’m working on!” Keith defends, crossing his arms as he leans back onhis piano.
“I literally said ‘Be right back, I’m goingto go get my camera!’ What else could I be doing Keith?” Lance mocks, thecamera moving around as he flails his arms.
“I was in my zone, Lance! You of all peopleshould know I don’t hear shit when I’m concentrating!”
“Okay, okay. Anyway, the vlog has started,meaning you’ve got to get your ass into gear because we’ve got one hell of acar ride ahead of us!” Lance places his hand over the camera just as Keithstarts grumbling, even if he’s getting out of his chair. When he takes his handoff, he’s standing on the edge of a cliff, zooming down towards the water atthe bottom of the crevasse.
He’s standing on a wooden platform withKeith just next to him, the latter of the two very clearly freaking out.“Keith, dude, chill. We both agreed that you’d face your fear today! You can’tback out now, and I’m here for moral support.” There are harnesses clearlywrapped around Keith’s torso, waist and legs. He’s got a thick helmet on andlooks only mere moments away from screaming.
“I’m going to pass out, I’m going toscream, vomit and then pass out.” That would make an amazing thumbnail.
“Keith, breathe. You’ll be fine, I believein you. Make gravity your bitch!” Lance encourages, jumping up and down on theplatform as Keith takes a few steps closer towards the edge. Lance films as theinstructor goes over some basic safety procedures with Keith, the audio slowlyfades away as the Wii music replaces it, the shot zooming in on Keith’s face toshow his many terrified expressions.
“Remember Mr Kogane, you’re perfectly safe.Just jump when you feel like you’re ready, the bungee cord will catch youbefore you hit the ground. You have nothing to be afraid of.” With that, thewoman steps to the side of the railing so Keith has a clear area to jump from,without any obstructions.
“You good?” Lance asks, gently placing hishand on Keith’s shoulder. “We don’t have to do this you know, we can just scrapthis video and record a silly Q and A or something. No one has to know, youdon’t have to jump if you don’t want to.”
Keith sighs deeply as turns to Lance, thecamera focused on his face. “No, no I want to do this. I’ve just got to hypemyself up, you know?” Keith is visibly jittery, his body swaying from side toside as he hops around, the excess tension in his body refusing to leave.
“It’s cool, I can be ya’ hype-man,” Lancesays as he flips the camera around to show himself, he jabs his thumb into hischest as gives Keith a toothy smile. “Keith! Keith! Keith! Keith!” Lance startsto chant, the boy in question, fighting off a smile as Lance’s chanting growslouder. “Oh my god, he’s so handsome and brave!” Lance hollers with a highpitched voice, fanning himself as Keith laughs.
“Okay, make sure you actually get this onvideo, because I’m not doing it twice.” Keith takes two long strides towardsthe edge, the shake in his step visible as he looks over the edge. Keithbreaths out slowly and takes his hand off of the wooden railing. “FOR NARNIA!!”With one final scream, Keith jumps from the platform, hovering in the air for asplit second.
Gravity takes its hold and Keith fallsthrough the air, dropping like a rock in a lake as he plummets to the ground –screaming the entire time. The slack on the rope quickly disappears as the restof the coiled cord is pulled from the wooden platform, the rope pulling tightlyas the tension builds. Suddenly the screaming drifts into laughter, the soundechoing around the canyon.
Lance peers over the edge and zooms in asKeith almost hits the ground, the rope harshly pulling him back up as thetension finally snaps – thankfully the rope didn’t snap too. Usually, Lancewould hate the amount of editing he’s going to have to do to censor Keith’salmost constant stream of curses, but right now he can’t help but find ithilarious.
Keith jolts at the bottom of the canyon,hanging from the rope as he bounces ever so slightly. “I feel like pulling onthe rope just to scare him, I know I shouldn’t… but I’m going to anyway.”
I’m starting to think a boyfriend tag would be fun.
