In the book Rocky wears a shirt regularly and his lil belt thing while working, in the movie Rocky just has his belt/harness sometimes.

In my headcannon Eridians do have clothes, it’s just not common practice/expected to wear them all the time. Textiles are rare and hard to make, and clothes pretty much all have to be custom made because of the vast sizes and shapes Eridians come in.

Clothes and soft materials also insulate against noise, so most Eridians don’t like to wear anything because it impedes hearing slightly. Buuuuut Grace would find this to be rather nice! Being so sensitive to sound can be a bit much for someone who hadn’t grown up with it, and he ofc likes the soft feeling.

He would ask for a sweater to wear to class (much thicker and heavier than any Eridian would wear) all his excitable little pebbles would be hard to listen to for long periods of time, the dampening helps. And he feels more like himself wearing something soft and knit :3

I’m writing more about this in my fic (stay tuned!!) but in my mind Eridians are similar to humans on a social and tactical level. ie: oh yes sir these rock spiders cuddle!! Scratching would be a very common way of showing love, and ofc you gotta watch one another sleep as close as possible <3

Rocky indulges almost every time Grace wants a cuddle (was he gonna say no? This is his best friend, a formerly squishy alien being put into a body he is entirely new to, and someone he loves on basically a cosmic level) the only time he does not is when Grace is genuinely inconveniences him, or when he wants to tease Grace a little bit. In the first few weeks of Grace being Eridian, him and Rocky are practically inseparable- reminiscent of when they first came to Erid. Rocky uses this so his advantage to be silly sometimes :3

Graces frequent crying would translate into a lot of wailing as an Eridian. I feel like he’d have a hard time speaking not only because he’s just not used to it- but because his emotions make him sing without meaning to. Younglings learn fairly quickly how to control their emotions so they don’t constantly interrupt themselves with unconscious sounds. But grace is so used to expressing his emotions as a human (and he’s a big cryer) that I don’t think he’d ever really learn how to suppress a keen when really emotional. Rocky and all the other Eridians would get used to this and would ofc be incredibly patient with him :]

I think there’d be a few times that Grace would freak some people out with his whining - the sound usually means there’s a small hatchling in distress lol

You get the whole walk cycle and the little sprint at the end.

Sometimes her sprints last for like 4 or 5 seconds and she can shoot herself off the couch or into a wall if she gets a grip with her back claws. If she does it next to a wall, her head smacking into it sounds like someone is trying to break into the house. She doesn't wake up.

Later in the dream she injured her paw and was limping, and earlier she caught something and ate it.
