Hello, so I was planning on doing a comic following your story. Many of the characters are probably going to be different, so that people who are not in the VLD fandom can understand. I was planning on doing The Marks We Make, or, SUADWM. Of course, I will add credits to you. I was just making sure you know! It might take some time for the comic to come out though. Thank you! (Also, instead of BL, the comic might be GL?... maybe?)

If I’m reading this correctly… I don’t give you permission to do that. You want to take MY story, and rewrite it with different characters, and possibly changing their genders? That’s not doing a comic of my fic. That’s taking my idea, my story, and inserting different characters in it to make it your own.

You are more than welcome to do Klance comics based on my klance fic with credits to said fic. You do not have my permission to take my story and reinvent it to advertise as your own. The Marks We Make has a lot of personal memories and stories from MY college experience. Taking that is not just stealing my fic, you’re stealing my memories, my experiences, and my life.

If you want to do a vld klance comic, go for it! If you want to do something original… then do something original. Because what you described isn’t doing a comic based on my fic. It’s stealing my story for your own characters. It’s turning my fanfic into your “original” work. You do not have my permission to do that. Don’t take my life as inspiration. Use your own.

(Also, you will find that people outside a fandom can still understand fics/comics/art without having a specific attachment to those characters. The question is not a matter of helping more people understand. It’s a question of doing fanart or original art. And if you want to do original art, write an original story.)

Chapter 5, Choice 3 of my Choose-Your-Own-Adventure fic is now on Patreon!

Every chapter will be broken up into smaller sections, with several choices per chapter. I'll upload chapters in 2-4k chunks that end in a choice, as well as a separate patreon post with a poll for you to vote. When chapters are done, they'll be uploaded to ao3.

Keep in Mind: Every choice will have benefits and consequences. It's my goal to make no inconsequential choices. There will also be no "this is the klance choice", aka, the choice that has the most shipping potential. Your choices have impact and will steer the story in unique and perhaps unexpected ways. The result of choices will not always be obvious, so keep that in mind. If you've ever watched/played the Bandersnatch on netflix, it's like that. Or like dnd, as I am a DM at heart.

Klance - Canonverse Reincarnation au - 8,484 words It’s been a century and a half since the last of the Voltron Paladins, Saviors and Heroes of the Universe, passed. Though they might be gone, their legacy lives on and their memory is far from forgotten.

Allura— woven into the fabric of the universe and wishing to spend a normal life with the friends who became family— manages to save their souls, waiting for the perfect time for them all to be reborn. To live a new life together. Not as Paladins, but as friends bound together by fate. While many familiar souls are reborn, the Paladins themselves— having been connected through the Lions and quintessence sensitive— remember their past lives.

Everyone, except for Keith.

Keith doesn’t believe in fate, but he can’t deny that the day he met Lance was the day his life finally started to fall into place.

Keith and his twin sister, Acxa, were born on a space station rotating in the outer ring of the Milky Way Galaxy. Their father was a researcher, and their mother was a pilot and guard of the station. Their community was mostly human, but there were a fair share of mixed races. Their mother was one of them. A quarter Galra. Passing on to Keith and Acxa her violet eyes, stubbornness, thick hair, and quick temper.

There weren’t a lot of other kids growing up, but Keith didn’t mind. He enjoyed time by himself.

When they were fourteen, their father had to return to Earth. He took Acxa with him and extended the offer to Keith as well. But Keith refused. He liked his home here in the stars. And Earth… it was big and overwhelming. He opted to stay with their mom.

The worst part of the following years was being separated from Acxa. She had been his closest friend, and her absence ached. But they spoke often through video calls. She told him of her time in Earth schools. Of her new friends. Zethrid, Narti, and Ezor. All with Galra in their bloodline, just like them.

She said… meeting them felt like fate. Like they’ve known each other for years and seeing them felt like a sigh of relief. She said she felt like they were meant to be friends.

Keith didn’t get it.

He didn’t believe in fate.

He was happy for her, but a small part of him, buried and hidden, was bitter.

And terribly lonely.

When he was sixteen, he and his mom finally followed them to Earth. He was enrolled in the Garrison, and while he was terrible at making friends— he was the weird kid, the angry kid, the Space Cadet— he was good at flying.

Flying felt… natural. He was at peace in the simulators. Where it was just him, the mission, and the controls at his fingertips.

His first time in the simulator, he left the ship feeling a delightful buzz of adrenaline in his fingertips and a newfound lightness in his chest.

That sensation tightened the moment he heard a voice— achingly familiar and yet entirely new, tugging at him instantly and forcing him to turn— eyes finding a lean, lanky cadet across the room, tan skin and brown hair, arms on his hips as he gazed up at the digital scoreboard— a petulant frown pursing full lips—

“Who the hell just beat my high score?” He whipped around, narrowed eyes searching—

And widening as they landed on Keith. His whole body tensed, and Keith froze under the intensity of that blue gaze. It was a long time ago, but Keith still swears he felt something sizzle and spark through him in that moment.

And then, all at once, the boy relaxed. Practically melted right there where he stood. A blinding smile spread his lips, eyes crinkling with the force of it.

“There you are, Samurai,” he said, voice terrible soft and bizarrely breathless as he held out a hand. “Name’s Lance.”
