Okay, so in Harry Potter there's the unbreakable vow, which means that you can't break a vow or risk your magic and life or something like that, but what if you did crossies behind your back? Would that cancel it out or maybe even make the vow the opposite? I see a muggleborn attempting it, sharing with the rest of the muggleborns when it succeeds, then they quietly take over the Wizarding World by making tons of vows and never telling a soul how they did it.
Humans are weird thing: Hiccups
I don't know if this has been done, but the first time a human gets hiccups when on an alien crew.
It is meal time and suddenly one human who finished eating faster than the others makes a loud sound that has yet to be documented. At first the aliens think that human Mike got suddenly excited and did a strange shout, but that possibility is thwarted when the sound is repeated. Human Mike scowls at the other humans who have started snickering at him.
Perhaps it is an angry noise? Why is Human Mike angry though? He did not show signs of it previously, and nothing has happened between eating and the noise to make him angry. Why must human emotions be so confusing?
"Try drinking water upside-down." Human Dawn suggests randomly, "That's what we always do where I grew up."
"No do NOT drink water upside-down!" An alien crew mate panics. "Doing so could cause you to choke and die!"
"NO!!!" All the aliens who have experience with humans shout at the crew mate who told Human Mike not to do it.
Everyone knows not to tell a human not to do something. It's the first rule in the handbook. They all sigh in resignation at the smirking humans.
Human Mike gets out of his seat, raises his arms, and flips to stand on his hands. Human Dawn who suggested the action is already prepared with her bottle of water. His body wobbles as he hiccups again, and she quickly pours it in his mouth.
There is a tense silence as the entire room watches. A moment later there is another hiccup large enough to send Human Mike tumbling to the floor, cursing loudly at his misfortune. The aliens breathe in relief, a higher up taking the new recruit out of the room for a refresher course on rule number one of dealing with humans.
Throughout the rest of the day, the other humans could be found trying to scare the hiccupping Human Mike with varying degrees of success. The hiccups finally stopped when Human Mike was trying to hold his breath, and Human Josh came up behind him and slammed into his back to scare him. It caused him to choke, yet he seemed grateful to Human Josh anyway.
Human shows alien cheesy movie with a villain who rings their hands as they plot their evil play.
A few days later the same alien sees the human doing the same thing with their hands. The put the ship on lock down, shouting about how the human plans to kill them all.
Human who was putting on hand lotion: Oh great, what did I do this time?
Valentines Day is officially a week away, and many are scrambling for dates, planning romantic evenings with their partner, and, common in the majority of these celebrations, anticipating a particularly special evening of sexual pleasure. There are many, however, who choose not to participate in these highly commercialized traditions. On Valentines Day, everyone celebrates romantically and sexually, but there are many types of love, and many types of relationships that involve it.
I have often found myself feeling depressed and lonely on Valentines Day due to a lack of partner, which is caused by a difficulty finding someone who I don't have to feel obligated into sex with. Last year was the worst Valentines Day yet as I had a boyfriend of six months who I had yet to have any sexual intimacy with, nor did I have the desire. The pressure was on and it terrified me. Thankfully he respected my not being ready even if I didn't tell him I doubted I'd ever be "ready".
This year I am single once more, and I've decided to take a different approach to the holiday that will help me feel involved in the celebrations without the obligation for sex or even romance. Instead of celebrating exclusively romantic and sexual love, I will be celebrating love of different types. After all, I love my family and friends and they are just as important as any romantic relationship I may or may not have in the future.
I urge everyone, whether you are asexual like me, aromatic like many others, or even someone who has no issues participating in all aspects of this holiday, to take pressure off of everyone involved. Celebrate anyone and everyone you love, not just your partners. Help turn this into a holiday of universal love, not exclusively romantic and sexual love.
Comment your own traditions or ideas!
People PLEASE stop judging people for their sexuality or lack there of. They are not judging you for yours. If you truly can't accept it then stay away. Your negativity is not needed and your opinion is not wanted. Maybe you should look at yourself and ask why you feel the need to judge others. I doubt it actually has to do with them.
Love ≠ Sex
Happiness ≠ Romance

I hold hope that one day, we won't be out of place. We just need to get word out. We need to make our existence known and accepted.
Aces are often misunderstood and disregarded even by those of the lgbtq community who fought for their own place in this world.
Please, if you or someone you know is asexual, aromatic, or somewhere on either of those spectrums, or if you simply want to help get the word out, reblog this.
For more info on asexuals, aromantics, and more, please checkout the AVEN site at the link below.

So I just wanted to shout out to my fellow aces out there.
Remember that you are valid even if others refuse to validate you.
You are loved even though you don't want a sexual relationship.
You are cherished for your personality even if some only see your body.
You are strong so don't let anyone dissuade you from being perfectly you!
