Summary:
Rick, Robin, and Streber majority vote for their monthly movie night to watch a horror movie. Radford and Kevin hate this, as they hate horror movies. But a vote is a vote and the tradition must be honoured and upheld.
“Come oooon, guuuuys, do we really have to watch this?” Kevin whines as he sets the bowl of popcorn on the coffee table.
“Yes! We all agreed so stop complaining.” Streber sets down the drinks next to the bowl. He grabs one of the cans of pop and cracks it open with one hand before plopping his butt down on the floor against the couch. Streber’s usual spot.
Kevin groans, sitting in his usual spot, behind Streber on the couch. He has to lift his long legs to step over and around Streber as to not knock his boyfriend in the head. Streber does not help at all, staying perfectly still, almost as if he’s daring Kevin to hit him.
“Okay, but like why this one? Isn’t it supposed to be incredibly stupid?” Radford walks into the den, Robin following behind him.
“It’s not stupid, it’s a classic. A must see,” Robin argues back, crossing her arms.
Rick pushes through the siblings with the dvd case in hand. “Stop complaining, both of you.” He shoots Kevin a hard look from across the room to which, Kevin flips him off.
Radford lets out the biggest sigh before making his way to the couch, and sitting on the floor next to Streber, his own usual spot in front of Rick. As the younger brother, he’s not permitted the chair, that’s Robin’s throne and she’s made that very clear in the past.
“Fineee, let’s just get this over with. And next time, Kevin and I get to pick, you monsters.”

“. . . That was . . .” Radford starts, absolutely gobsmacked. He can’t finish his thought, the words just not coming to mind.
Kevin is gripping one of the lumpy throw pillows with all his might, holding it to his chest and face as a shield. “. . . Awful?” He supplies.
Radford’s brain kickstarts again. “Terrible. Absolutely terrible. I never want to watch that again.” His words are resolute and probably even a little offensive to the three horror buffs in the room.
Rick flips Radford off with his beer bottle in hand. “Shut up or we’re watching the next one,” he threatens.
Streber pats Kevin’s thigh. “Come on, it wasn’t that bad guys.” He reaches over and claps Radford’s shoulder.
Radford frowns at him behind his thick rimmed glasses but it’s not very menacing. “I hate you all so much right now,” he says, “except you Kevin,” he adds quickly.
Kevin lets out a weak groan behind his pillow shield. “I’m literally not gonna be able to sleep tonight, thanks guys.”
“Aw, don’t worry babe, it’ll be okay. I’ll stay with you tonight.” Streber twists to face Kevin, patting his leg once more with even more affection. “I’ll protect you from the ghosts in your apartment,” Streber adds.
A distressed squawk sounds from behind the pillow making everyone laugh. “Not funny, Streb!” Kevin swats at Streber’s shoulder, lowering his defensive pillow for a moment before quickly holding it back to his face.
Streber chuckles with too much mirth have any sort of conscience. Kevin almost wonders if he wants Streber by his side for the night, or he should stay with Radford instead. At least Radford won’t joke at his expense.
“Alright, alright, that’s enough laughing at the poor babies. What do we wanna do now?” Robin cuts through the laughter with her big sisterly tone, assuming leadership of the group as usual.
“We could continue our Diablo campaign? Still got a few season quests to do,” Streber suggests. He knows video games will help take Kevin and Radford’s minds off the horror movie.
Rick hums behind his beer, “good idea. Help the babies calm down a bit.” Both Kevin and Radford shoot glares at Rick.
They may be the babies of the group, but no 21-year-olds appreciate being called babies just because they don’t like scary movies and are a little uneasy after watching one. “Can you stop calling us babies already?” Radford demands. He throws a popcorn kernel at Rick’s face who flinches away successfully before glaring back.
“Don’t act like a baby then and I won’t.” He grabs the kernel that landed on his shirt and flicks it back at Radford, landing it in his unruly curls with a satisfied smirk.
“Oh real mature of you.” Radford digs his fingers through his hair, trying to find the kernel, it takes a second but eventually he shakes it out, the popcorn falling harmlessly to the carpeted floor.
“Stop throwing food at each other before I make you,” Robin warns, not wanting things to escalate or she’ll no doubt have to vacuum the den again thanks to those two.
Streber chuckles at his friends’ antics while he crawls around the coffee table and over to the TV stand where he switches the input to the game console and hits the power button. He passes out everyone’s respective controller (they all have a favourite one) before adjusting the TV volume to be less loud.
“Well, let’s get to it then. We got some monsters to massacre.”

The last chapter is finally here lads (if anyone is still here waiting) for this series. I’m sorry this is so long overdue but now I can finally move onto new projects. Probably more lighthearted small stuff for the time being. But yeah, I hope those who’ve wanted to see this concluded enjoy this (as rushed as it is).
Hello all. I'm going to be orphaning my vampire hunting fic (the latest of my fics) and work on a rewrite for it but I have no clear deadline of when it'll be back up.
I just didn't feel satisfied with aspects of the story and want to do a massive edit/rewrite with a better, more clear idea.
The current fic will be orphaned as I don't want to completely delete it (and everyone's comments on it) and I'll still keep my pseud on it so people can still search for my other fics.

The woods outside town aren’t haunted, necessarily. It’s not that they’re crawling with only ghosts. It’s more like the woods are rumoured to be infested with monsters instead. Werewolves, vampires, wendigos, that sort of thing.
This is stems from the alarmingly high number of mysterious disappearances and later deaths of both residents and tourists alike over the course of the town’s history.
It’s become a hotbed for supernatural enthusiasts all over, from ghost hunters to stupid teens searching for a vampire’s bite.
Unfortunately, for Kevin. Radford is one of these enthusiasts. As a horror movie buff and just all around, scary things enjoyer, the idea of monster hunting in your own backyard is too good of an opportunity to pass up.
Or the story where Radford forces Kevin and Rick to go into the woods to hunt vampires for the umpteenth time and mayhaps, someone finds one?

Hi! Sorry this took so long. I hope it's sweet and cute. I don't actually know anything about makeup haha.
"Alright, you ready to embrace your gothic beauty?" Streber starts pulling open drawers and cupboards on his victorianly gothic vanity.
Kevin groans, flopping backwards onto the bed, throwing his arms out like a starfish. "I guesssss soooo . . . this isn't going to take forever is it?"
He's not so much against makeup as a concept, and more against the time consuming process behind it. After all, he knows how good one can look with makeup, he's seen it himself with Streber every concert they go to.
"Not if you cooperate with me, Kev." Streber swivels in his stool towards the bed with some makeup supplies in hand. "Which starts with sitting up."

"Strebbberrrr, you said this wouldn't take long. Are you almost done?" Kevin's sure he's been here for an hour with his eyes squeezed shut while Streber paints his face. Though it seems that applying makeup is more than just the painting.
His skin feels so heavy under all the products he can't even name and his eyes are itchy from the pencil Streber's been using to line his lids.
Kevin's fighting every nerve in his body that's telling him to just <em>scratch, itch, smudge.</em> He can't, or he'll have to sit here for another hour.
"Stop whining, I'm almost done. You keep whining and I might fuck it up." No he won't, that's just an empty threat to Get Kevin to quiet down. After all, they are both aware how steady Streber's hands are. He'd never misapply eyeliner, not even on a tantruming child.
"And don't squish your eyes like that. Relax." Streber's orders are easy to follow but the defiant part of Kevin doesn't want to and he almost listens, but the prospect of this taking longer stops him and he forces his eyes to relax so Streber can put the eyeliner on properly.

"There see? You look awesome!" Streber sits Kevin down in his vanity stool, his hands squarely on Kevin's shoulders. They both stare into the mirror, Streber with a look of absolute egotistical pride, Kevin with a look of shocked awe.
He's paler, his lips darker, his eyes more pronounced and shadowy.
"Damn, I rock as a goth." His hands slowly inch to his face to touch but Streber swiftly swats his hands down.
"Yes you do, now don't touch. And go, go, goooo, so I can get ready now." Streber hauls Kevin out of the stool just as fast as he'd sat him down and drags him out of the bedroom. He's always been a little secretive of putting on his face, so this isn't new.
"Alright fine, just don't take too long," Kevin says as the door shuts in his face, leaving him alone in the hallway. He doesn't mind though.
For something silly and sweet how about a candybats thing where kevin and streber’s friends talk about the reasons why he’s not allowed to cook

Here you go. It's really short but I hope it's okay. I kinda went a little angstier than maybe was necessary but ye. Also I did indeed include Robin, Radford's sister as a new addition to the friend group because she looks like she's their age and I thought it'd be cool.
Streber frowns at the back of Kevin's floofy head, his arms crossed but going unnoticed as Kevin continues to talk.
"Yeah, so he's not allowed in the kitchen to cook. Too much of a hazard. Which is surprising considering how skilled of a baker he is." Is it a compliment? A backhanded one? Streber isn't sure.
"What? Did he set something on fire or something?" Robin asks, resting her chin in her hand on the island counter, a bemused smirk always present on her laid back face.
"Yeah, kinda." Kevin chuckles, no doubt remembering one of the more lasting incidents with rose-coloured amusement. "He actually managed to set a pot of water on fire. Not sure how."
"Pfft!—sorry—ahem, did he really?" Radford snorts and it's obnoxious and Streber turns his frown onto him now.
Kevin laughs with Radford, nodding his head. "Yeah. Wasn't funny at the time. Thought our kitchen was done for." He keeps laughing, the others all joining in, none seeming to notice Streber's lack of participation.
"That's not all, right?" Rick urges with a sip of his beer, starting a trend that both Radford and Robin follow through on.
Kevin shakes his head. "No, no. That's not all. There was also the time he almost chopped his fingers off with our sharpest knife." It doesn't sound funny and Kevin doesn't even tell it in a funny voice yet he's elicited chuckles and quiet laughs from all three of his listeners.
Streber inches himself further and further into the couch corner, his arms tightening around himself with no aid provided.
"But he can bake?" Radford asks incredulously. Of course it's a little hard to believe that Streber has any competence in the kitchen after Kevin's just expertly tarnished his reputation.
"Oh yeah, brilliantly. You guy's have had his stuff. It's amazing." Oh look, he's trying to salvage the situation. It's not going to work, Kevin, it's too late, you're on the couch tonight.
There's a pondering moment around the family room, both Rick and Robin taking a sip of their beers, Radford reaching for a chip on the coffee table.
"That's true. He does make a mean cake. That's so surprising, that he can bake, but is abysmal at cooking." Radford says it like Streber isn't right fucking there listening to everything they're saying. Did they all forget he's still in the room?
One more dig at his cooking skills and he's going home.

He did indeed go home. With Kevin trailing at his heels, apologising like he's not already exiled to the couch for the night.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have started a roast fest like that, it just sorta happened—hey—Streb?" He's not deterred by Streber's silent treatment. "I'm sorry, I swear. I won't bring it up ever again. I promise."
Streber just lifts his hand and flips Kevin off while he walks up the driveway.
He unlocks the door and part of him is tempted to close it right in Kevin's face, but that feels too mean, so he doesn't. Instead, he takes off his shoes and jacket and marches right upstairs to the bedroom.
Kevin follows him, his jacket still half on and tries to get into the room but Streber stops him, holding the door. "Couch," he says and it's not a request, it's not a suggestion, it's an order. Kevin's not getting into that bed tonight no matter what he tries.
A request where dexter stabs kevin in say like the stomach or side instead in deadly smiles?
Maybe with streber being the one yo find him.
Heey, so I really appreciate the request, but I kinda already wrote my interpretation of Deadly Smiles here. And as much as I really, really appreciate the ask, I don't know how I'd write a second fic with the same premise without it being a rip-off of the first one and I'm really proud of the first one. So although I can't fully fulfil this request of yours, I hope this is some sort of fulfillment.
