can do @spaceclownnn ! it has been...a while since I wrote Ellis, nice to head back to my old favourite :)
Ellis is not an idiot by any means - just look at his planning skills when it comes to escaping Dead Center. He just prefers a simpler life, and as a result presents himself as not very complex.
His favourite state may be Georgia but his second favourite is denial. A lot of his chaotic, intense positivity is him trying to convince himself that now is just an extension of his previous life - he's just pulling off crazy stunts to impress his friends.
Ellis wears his hat all the time partially because he just really likes it, and partially because it's reassuring, as another anchor to his old life, like a promise he isn't fully abandoning it.
He's managed to convince himself he'll meet up with all his friends and family again after all this is over, and go back to Savannah. Of course, if you've read my other posts you know that he...doesn't. For the most part.
He has a scar on the bridge of his nose from a raccoon. Why did he get in a brawl with a raccoon? Keith.
He's actually kind of intimidated by Nick, not that he'd ever say, but doesn't let that affect how he treats him. Nick slightly scares all three of them which is something I completely forgot to mention in my Nick headcanons whoops
He knows how to make pipe bombs and Molotovs thanks to Keith and Keith's brother Dave. They used to mess with them like idiots, much to the horror of Keith's eldest brother Paul and Ellis's mother. Thankfully they very quickly realised that they were far too dangerous to play around with (especially after a severe scolding).
