Here and there at the dark windows, Harry saw faces … faces that bore no resemblance at all to the painting of the mermaid in the prefects’ bathroom … The merpeople had grayish skin and long, wild, dark green hair. Their eyes were yellow, as were their broken teeth, and they wore thick ropes of pebbles around their necks.

I am in love with this painting, probably because I have a secret desire to be a maiden of the sea. The ocean is the only place I feel graceful and free. I guess I’m a mermaid at heart, as corny as that may sound. I found the photo on pinterest but the link was from a blog, and I really want to find out who the artist is. Holla if you have any leads
