Spacious Thoughts, a Division III Project

Mission Statement: Explore the process of taking a single-function reactive object and multiplying it across a space until the resulting entity takes on a personality all of its own. The witness would interact with the installation to discover the intrinsic behavioral traits. The inclusion of a non-natural structure will serve as both a means to direct the witness to the treetops' interference with the sunlight and showcase the forms created by nature when viewed in contrast to a premeditated object. One last thing.  Hampshire ended up using a picture of my project for their Hampshire Fund thank-you post cards.  They look lovely and I really want the images they took for my own portfolio.

Alright, here's my concept for reusing the units from the Spacious Thoughts installation.  The suspension above a walkway plan didn't pan out, so here's IDEA TWO!

Let's see if I can get this done in two weeks.

Due to a faulty crimp, the installation fell enough to be a danger to itself and others. With Facilities help, I got it down and out of the way. Next step is to get it disconnected and mounted on wall sections.
