This Minecraft AU has been brewing in my brain forever with Matpat's Ancient Builders theory and every time I think about it a drool a little...

So in the strongholds once the wither has lowk murked all of humanity the Builders sort of 'freeze' a couple of their children and like put them in rivers or something where they float. The idea is that they thaw after the wither is gone, and sort of restart humanity? They freeze like 40 kids total.

Except the little tube or whatever carrying Steve ends up in an ice spikes, and he thaws several CENTURIES after he was meant to wake up and his species is extinct
